Here is the description of the Simming Prize from their website:
The Simming Prize is the Nobel Prize of the play-by-post online role-playing ("simming") community. (Or at least we like to think so!)
Up to five Prizes are bestowed each year to individuals or entities (games, clubs, or organizations) that (1) exemplify service, quality, and dedication within the play-by-post online role-playing; or who (2) pioneer new technology or techniques within the community. The Prizes can recognize a significant onetime accomplishment, or sustained contributions over a period of time. Individuals and entities that win a prize are entitled to use the honorific Simming Prize Laureate.
Officially known as the The Prize for Simming and Online Role Playing in Memory of Seth Cotis, the Simming Prize honors the memory of Seth Cotis, founder of the Starfleet Legacy Alliance and a long-time leader within the Simming League.

It gives me great pleasure to inform you that the YSS Kaiyo II has been awarded a Simming Prize. Please extend my congratulations to the GM and players. The Kaiyo II is one of today's best sims, and by receiving this honor, it will be enshrined among some of the greatest sims of all time. It is obvious the GM puts ample time into crafting a well thought out story, and equally, the players breath life into their characters, making them individuals and not archetypes. The writing is at times funny, at times sad, but it is always clear the GM and players enjoy the universe they have created and together get to explore.
Congratulations to Ametheliana and all Kaiyo players for this honor. Your awesome roleplaying, characters, and stories have risen above the competition and have been judged as some of the best on the internet and an example to others.
Also, a huge thanks to all the judges who donated their time to look and score/vote for all the entries.
