Yamatai News (YINN) YSS Wakaba's Return

News Special Report

This is Chuck Chickerman bringing you a special report. The YSS Wakaba, a Sharie-Class Battleship that was part of the Task Force 48 under the command of Taisa Motoyoshi Kazue went missing in the Ayumi Nebula nearly 2 years ago has finally been found. The YSS Resurgence, under the command of Taisa Aoba Kuranosuke went off in search of the Wakaba and was successful in locating the missing ship.

The Wakaba was somehow transported to another part of the Galaxy where it encountered heavy Mishhu forces. It is reported that Taisa Kazue was severally wounded and placed in stasis, where the then XO Chusa Thomas Canterbury took command. Canterbury, who was posthumously promoted a year ago, led the Wakaba through many a fight before it was finally forced to land on an unknown planet. That is where the Resurgence finally found them.

We have received reports that the Wakaba's engines had been damaged beyond repair and had a Mishhu Dreadnaught baring down on it when the Resurgence found them. In an amazing feat of heroism and courage, the Resurgence crew boarded and stole an Aether Generator from a Mishhu Cruiser and teleported it to the Wakaba where it was able to use the stolen generators to lift off and return home.

In a statement from Taisa Canterbury, he commended the Resurgence and her crew. Stating that in all his years of service, he has never seen such acts of heroism and unflinching bravery against overwhelming odds safe that of his own crew. Canterbury continued in saying that the Wakabans have suffered more hardship and loss and yet never faltered to do continue to push forward. They continued fighting even when they lost their Captain, close to half their crew and the loss of ST backups. They never gave up.

We wish the Wakaba and her crew a speedy recovery and hope that they receive a long rest from their labors. Glory to Yamatai!
