Zen Armaments AR-1 Assault Rifle

The issue is DR doesn't take armor penetration into account, its just a raw flat number that in the end is completely up to the GM as far as effectiveness. But since AP rounds would be used against targets wearing body armor, thus they have a higher DR armor rating then 'soft' targets, it should have a higher DR, at least imo.
 
I think this touches upon why DR is a guide and not an absolute in RP. If we're saying that the thing being rated for damage is armor, then an AP should be higher than a hollowtip. If we're talking about a body, hollowtip > AP.

I've made them all the same now.
 
Which is they way it should work. The DR system groups the damage by class of weapon, factors like AP etc on a rifle are really things the GM should take into account
 
So can we finally decide to let this through or not? It's been bogged down more than is necessary considering we've not had this issue before in the past with a rifle.
