The departure of the Colonization Initiative Alliance fleet was an event in the Hinomaru Sunrises II plot that took place in YE 45.1.

In YE 45.1, after months of planning, since the Re-Establishment Of The Fifth Expeditionary Fleet and the assembly of the Colonization Initiative Alliance fleet in the Jiyuu System the journey finally begins. Under the protection of the Star Army's Fifth Expeditionary Fleet and the Taihō Expeditionary Strike Group from the First Expeditionary Fleet the fleet departs the Kikyo Sector¹⁾.

The Colonization Initiative Alliance fleet departs the Kikyo Sector from the Jiyuu System. The news coverage was handled by Star Army News Distribution and Reporting Agency²⁾.
