Fort Minori, Nataria - The Star Army of Yamatai's personnel division announced today that it would has updated the policy regarding buyouts of enlistment contracts. The new policy removed the old flat rate of five thousand KS per year and replaces it with numbers equal to yearly pay. This change makes leaving the military early less expensive for ranks E2 and below and more expensive for ranks E3 and above, with the highest ranks costing nearly twenty times more. May'nale Trade Port, Nesha Prime - Earlier this morning a category N4 Windstrike strucking the trading port of May'nale. Windspeeds were in excess of 499 kilometers an hour and tore through the port, tearing apart several warehouses and local businesses. Thanks to Chilerious's Will, the residential area of the port was spared any direct hit and only light injuries and some small damage was reported. Unfortunately, the Windstrike struck at the busiest time for the port with several large transports that were docked and on loading cargo to be transported to Levia; although port and ship crews were able to survive by getting into the transports and sealing their loading ramps, the ships themselves suffered damage that has rendered them...

Fleet Depot, Nataria - The Star Army of Yamatai announced today that it would be consolidating its forces into fewer fleets based on necessary roles for the military's operation. In a statement issued by Star Army Command, it placed First Fleet as the defender of core Yamatai space and moved Second Fleet from the Ketsurui Military Sector to Nataria, where it will be expanded and retooled as an invasion fleet for unspecified future conquest operations, and general defense operations against invading alien fleets. As part of the rearrangement of fleet, the 12th Fleet, formed for the Second Mishhuvurthyar War, will be disbanded and its assets merged into the Second Fleet. Today, the Premier's Office, in conjunction with the SMDIoN, released a statement that will likely be welcomed by many. Star systems up to and including the Snot Nebula are provisionally claimed in the name of Nepleslia. The SMDIoN has declared that all systems will be visited by military units and secured for colonial expansion. Exploratory units from 4th Fleet are currently undertaking survey missions to these star systems and cataloging them. It is not yet known when the systems will be opened for colonial ventures but the news was greeted by enthusiasm throughout the Imperium.
