After a long delay caused by waiting on judges to go through all the submissions, the results of the 2022 Simulation Cup got posted on Ongoing Worlds today and Star Army was represented in the winners! The Resurgence of Yamatai plot, often called the YSS Resurgence after its star Star Army starship, won the title for Outstanding Original Scifi. This is the first award the Resurgence plot, which has been running for a little over 2 years, has won from outside of the Star Army community...

 

The results are in for the 2022 Simulation Cup and our second winner is the post Tsukide from the YSS Kaiyo plot run by @Ametheliana ! They won Excellent Original Scifi in the category of Chat RP! Ametheliana is a great writer and GM who can tell a great story and the Kaiyo has won multiple prizes in the past such as 2020 Simulation Cup for Outstanding Original Scifi. It's great to see the tradition continued, and thanks to that excellence, this is also the 10th year in a row...

 

Star Army is, based on member feedback, now offering to set up private namespaces on the wiki. You can use these as your "GM screen" to hide secret WIPs, campaign notes, and so forth so your players can't see them until they're done/ready to use in the RP.

How it works:

1. Create your private namespace (folder) by creating any page in

   members:yourname:private:

2. Open a forum conversation with Wes to get permissions set up for your folder. Permissions for ALL will be set to NONE...

 

It's a new year in the Star Army RP universe as well! The in-character (IC) year is now YE 46--the 46th year of the Empire--and it's the first month of the year making it YE 46.1. There's 9 IC months in the IC year and you can see them and what happens in them on the wiki page: YE 46.

The first major undertaking of the year will be for us to update and refresh everything for the new year. Game Masters will be updating all their pages doing a checklist we call the RP Review, which...
