"I will bring them up to the power armor bay, Nitô Hei," Victory responded. "Stand by." Victory was actually on standby in one of the shuttles so she simply took the body bags from the shuttle's emergency supplies and dropped them on the glossy black floor of the power armor bay. "Done," she told Tsuguka.

The green-haired supply Nekovalkyrja then rode the noisy cargo lift down to the cargo bay and looked around at the containers that Mitsuko had reorganized until she found the one that had the number 6 on it and unlocked it and opened it up, revealing a stack of tools, kits, rugs, survival gear, and a pile of body bags neatly stacked in neon green carrying bags that kept them rolled up. She took two of them, wirelessly updated the ship's inventory, and then went the cargo lift and pressed the button to raise it back up to deck three. A loud hydraulic whine filled the air again as the heavy-duty elevator ascended until reaching a junction with the corridor next to the medical lab. She then returned to the shuttle, ready to deploy for emergency pick-ups.

"Thank you, Nito Hei," Candon confirmed as he began searching bodies to fulfill his own task. Of the bodies available all were in poor condition.

Mr. Suites,

The samples you sent look like a mess of different materials from different places. I can not tell what parts may have been the wall and what may have been something else.

Is there something in particular you are looking for? I may be able to be more helpful if I know your line of thinking here.

-Wazu

Candon thought back to the engineering training he had been receiving just before his transfer to SAINT. He couldn't be sure but the damage done to the wall looked very similar to a very illegal weapon he'd used once.

I suspect that the plasma weapon that did this damage is a smaller version of what hit the station over Higaflan. I believe these plasma weapons are firing a solid or liquid core to tighten the plasma projection. Work for tungsten or copper. Mercury may also do it. It may be present as shrapnel or dust. If this is the case we are dealing with a very well armed enemy despite the age of their weapons technology.

He returned to searching through the bodies. There were only three to choose from, each broken in a different way. Ultimately the two he chose were as different from each other as he could get. One was missing the top half of his thorax and the other one's abdomen was shredded. Both were a body mess.

The doctor's ear's perked up as he heard his name mentioned over the coms. He was getting a body to study?

"Oh! Herm... I-"

He began to say but thought better of it. He could make sure the body was properly decontaminated. They were, perhaps, more dangerous dead than alive from a biological standpoint. If he had to pick a corpse to fling over the wall of a besieged castle to spread plague- he'd have selected a Rixxikor one.

"Do be careful- they are... well quite filthy with disease."

"Thank you for the reminder, Doctor," he replied dryly, "the body bags will be put through Decon. They should be alright to handle so long as their not opened."

Eucharis PA Bay -> Cargo Bay

"Joto Hei Suites..." A third private line. She had made it to the zero-g corridor already. "Any luck? We are running out of time."

"Oh, space my life," he muttered to himself and then responded over the private line, " I heard that, I have the but they're not in very good shape. this may be the best we can do unless Hanako consents to me grabbing a couple of live one's, but I think we already know the answer to that."

Eucharis PA Bay -> Rixxikor Vessel, Teleporter Blast Point

As simplistic as the requested items were, Tsuguka gave a rather severe bow of respect to Victory in return for her compliance. It wasn't lost on the ceremonious woman that she was making demands on several superior officers at once. But the past year had given her an intense preoccupation with making sure no action was wasted, even if that resulted in the the Nito Hei being told off as a result of acting independently. She would follow given orders to the letter, that would always be true. But for a soldier that was currently experiencing her first gust of relatively fresh air in days, and yet still thinking of nothing but her continuing service to the flag, the concept of shying away from opportunity because of one's own personal fears reeked of nothing less than simple injudicious vanity.

The mindy's was teleporter was recharged by the time she got back to it, and Tsuguka slipped back inside the squishy inner layer of the armor with ease. A few moments later and she was ready to launch once more, with the body bags safely strapped into the non-business side of her shield, where the spare magazines were normally meant to be stored.

"Apologies for pressuring you, Suites-Hei. Your professionalism in this situation has my admiration." She returned the call with a shrug. It sounded a little forced, so perhaps it was just a throw-away attempt to relate to the man she barely knew. Or a throw-away attempt to sound even vaguely relatably human. "Please stand clear of the point I teleported out from. I don't want to alert their attention by entering through the airlock again."

Back into space. Another moment and a quick flash later, and the curled up form of Tsuguka's mindy had finally come full circle, floating above the scorched sludge inside the Rixxikor vessel once again. As quick as she was trying to be, the resulting atmospheric flare-ups were not getting any quieter...

One hand abruptly outstretched, and offered Candon a teal-metal supply crate the moment she unfurled again. Holograms had a way of making even perfect visual replicas look like silly styrofoam props sometimes.

Colony Ship

"Just make it quick" Natsumi replied to Tsuguka's request. She had to wonder just what kind of sample they were taking, but that she could wait until they were safely back aboard the Eucharis to find out. Any continued questioning on her part would just slow them down. All she hoped right now is that they got out of this without any more violence from the Rixxicore.

Natsumi retraced her path back to the airlock, navigating through the ship was like trying to make ones way through a maze. At least she had a map to guide her. If nothing else they had a good amount of data on the construction of the ship and some intereting references to research. She was espectally interested if this machine planet Ruxxles had mentioned might be the capital world, or some industrial center of whoever it was that was backing the bug men.

Colony Ship

Taharial moved around the ship still checking the life signs when she heard that the group was leaving, she smiled and talked over comms "Okay, I hear ya, I will be on may way soon." She started to move towards the airlock by checking where most of the life signs were, on her way she goes past what looked a med lab but just like the rest of the ship it looked worst than the rest of the ship, this made Taharial's eye twitch as she was a medical professional and this should never happen, going back on the comms in a voice that sounded like she was going to kill someone "Crewmates, I have to deal with the medical staff here, I will be there shortly, don't worry unless you start hearing insectoid screams...."

Taharial stormed into the Rixxor med lab and growled through her helment "you guys are brain dead, if you keep this room like this no one is going to be alive" the Rixxor in the room laughed and said vulgar things about Taharial and her family. She closed her eyes and tried to stay calm "Listen here medic, if you want this ship to die out, keep it like this and have fun dying slowly and painfully, or you can keep this room clean compared to the rest of this god forsaken ship and actuallt be able to live, keep this in mind while your friends and loved ones die around you."

She talked with the medic about how to keep this area clean and some help in medical ways of treating patients as they seemed to realise that they didn't want to die then after she walked out in a better mood than she enter, she went to turn on her comms so she could communicate with the other crewmembers and realised that it was still on so they heard all of the chat with the medic "I am sorry you had to hear that, but I wanted to help medic to medic, but I am on my way now properly."

She walked to the airlock and sees the others already there made her a little embarrassed after wht she said "Taharial Chasen here and ready to back to the clean Eucharis."

Tsuguka's compliment surprised him more than when she snuck up on him. Most people mistook his version of professional behavior for arrogance. Maybe they were right.

Using his projection system he put holographic 'caution tape' around the entrances of the room.
"Copy that, the area is secure, you're clear to teleport," he confirmed as he backed away from he said she would be arriving with his shields active and his helmets audio and video off, a conditiomn that ended upon her arrival.

"Arigato, Nito Hei," he thanked her as he accepted the holographically disguised body bag, "I'm remotely accessing your holographic projection system. In a moment no one will be able to see what we're doing. We have thirty seconds." As he said it the two became surrounded with a holographic illusion of them taking samples of the grime on the floor.

Suites quickly unrolled and zipped his bag open and carefully loaded the carcass into it. The process lasted about 15 seconds as he skillfully loaded the body bag, a skill learned to his muscle memory from the first Mishhuvurthyar War that always caused him distress.
He closed the bag with a sigh.
"Ready."

Colony Ship, Teleporter Blast Point

Tsuguka just nodded to Candon in silent acknowledgement of his software linking idea, alrough she found herself gazing at her own arm in order to ascertain if the man was actually making her mindy invisible or not. It was a good plan. There was no way the bugs had anything like a cloaking device, but a simple security camera would be enough to incriminate them. Loading the carcass with the ruined abdomen into the bag was awkward since she was still carrying so much heavy ordinance, but she made do.

"The task is complete." Another blank glance from the emotionless face plate. "We can depart, just give the word."

Colony Ship, teleporter blast point

"Leaving is probably a good idea, I would want to kill us if I figured out what we were doing," Candon confirmed as he shouldered the bag, "We're already synced up, let's teleport together." He backed away through the hologram to put safe distance between them, the teleporter on his back began humming as it prepared for the jump. He set his AIES to activate his teleporter on Tsuguka's command. Her HUD would identify the link.

"Would you do the honors?"

Colony Ship, Teleporter Blast Point -> Outside the YSS Eucharis

"Certainly." Tsuguka took one last moment to re-scan the area for Rixxikor activity, before aligning some new teleport coordinates. She still hadn't completely decided if the bugs were really that negligent, or Ruxxles was secretly smarter than he seemed, and ordered them away for some reason. The sudden quiet was making her paranoid. "Keying in. Prepare for transit."

A glaring burst of light later, and the both of them phased back into existence below their home craft's majestic hull. It seemed somehow brighter and more unblemished than ever, now that the soggy hive of turds and scrap metal was behind them. She tried not to think about the momentos she had taken, namely a sizable sack of bug gore, still jangling around under her arm.

"Mission complete, Shosho, Chui." A line to both the command net and the squad system. "Do you want us to go to decon, or does the science team want the samples kept... erm... fresh?"

Her helmet turned towards Joto Hei Suites for a moment, then back towards the large craft looming above. Her pervasive gut feeling was still that it had all been a little too easy, but she didn't want to tempt fate by complaining about it now. It was nice to have a companion that worked so quickly and efficiently regardless, especially after months of babysitting somewhat less focused students, but that didn't mean she knew how to talk to him either...

The stoic neko just opened her mouth to talk, glancing quickly over to him again, but closed it before any noises came out, silently breathing out the last of her stored tension instead.

“You should be able to take the body bags through Decon. We can then take them somewhere isolated to open them up. “ Wazu replied over the command net as he thumbed through his datapad, requesting information on the ship's medical facility and fabrication bay as he looked for an area to keep the Rixxikor bodies for study.

“Placing both bodies in the Medbay's Refrigerators would be best, but feel free to just toss them in one of the containment cells...” Unlike before, Wazu's speech was starting to speed up, no pauses for thought or looking for the right words before speaking.

“Doc, you do biology right? Want to come with me and open up the bugs?” He asked, he looked back down at his datapad for a moment, having forgotten about Mr. Suites Plasma analysis just a moment ago. He would key in a request for Charisma to compare the plasma discharge on the Rixxikor ship with what information was available from the earlier encounter. There was no telling what parts of the scan belonged to the wall, and what parts belonged to the plasma discharge itself, but if they were using the same source material inside of the weapon it was likely they would find something in common between the two. Wazu also keyed in a request for Charisma to compare the temperature of the two blasts using earlier sensor data, assuming that they might be similar.

Then Wazu realized he might be getting ahead of himself,

“...May I borrow your science officer and medic?” Wazu asked Hanako, reaching for his bag of stuff he left beside the chair now occupied by Doctor Hemlock.

YSS Eucharis (near Sbuhfaba system) - Bridge

"Go ahead," Hanako nodded to Wazu.

Next, Hanako called all of the YSS Eucharis crew who were not yet aboard on the secure subspace radio channel. "Away Team, this is Eucharis actual. Mission complete. All away team members are ordered to immediately return to the ship. We and the task force will be space-folding in sixty seconds. Be aboard. Eucharis out."

"Prep for fold to to the UX-1 system in one minute," Hanako ordered the bridge.

Space, outside of PA Bay

Space. A vast void of nothing. Like an ocean of silence it surrounded Candon. How much weight could be on his shoulders when there is no gravity? His objective had been successfully completed and he had learned more about the friends of his enemy. He would be satisfied with the results of the operation but one thing kept crossing his mind... shots were fired.

Given his distaste for Wazu, Candon was more than willing to let the new chick do the talking. Candon was just going to just leave the bags in the PA bay and have Wazu figure it out himself but her way was probably better.

Hanako called all of the YSS Eucharis crew who were not yet aboard on the secure subspace radio channel. "Away Team, this is Eucharis actual. Mission complete. All away team members are ordered to immediately return to the ship. We and the task force will be space-folding in sixty seconds. Be aboard. Eucharis out."

"Looks like our ride is leaving," he stated as he began moving towards the PA bay, "You said your name's Toyoe Tsuguka, right? Do you have a Callsign, nickname, something you prefer being called?"

Rixxikor Airlock

Jax, glad to be leaving, dove headfirst into the void.

Eucharis - PA Bay

It was an oddly satisfying feeling to go through decontamination after playing around in the muck. Kind of like when your pancakes aligned perfectly on top of one another in the direct center of you plate, or a perfect swirl on an ice cream cone...

...God, he was hungry.

None the less, Jax stomped over to the rack with his name on it, and after depositing his weapons, unsuited. He lightly purred as he massaged his sore ears and tail, which had been crudely pressed against him in his neko-sized shell. For a moment, all was well. That's when he saw Aikiko's Mindy. Jax sighed in frustration and stomped towards the ruined armor. As if on cue, his FAR floated up and began scanning the armor, while Jax himself copied the damage list to his communicator.

"Chest plate critical... atmospheric seal busted... damn you, Aikiko!" Jax grumbled and dragged his hand down his face. Was pissing off the bugs really necessary?! She was lucky she wasn't here right now...!

...And could beat the crap out of him...!

...You know what? This was okay. Jax wasn't about to step up to the scary cat-lady.

Without another word, he loaded the armor onto a dolly and dragged it to the cargo lift, where he disappeared, headed towards the fabrication lab.

YSS Eucharis, Bridge

Umeshu was monitoring the status of the away teams' return in bits and pieces, hoping they were all accounted for since Yamashiro-chui seemed to be the last one out of the Rixxicor ship. She nodded her purple-haired head once as she heard Hanako give the official order to disengage and prepare to depart, replying dutifully, "Hai, Shosho! Keying in course now, FDD beginning charge..." The Chui made sure to communicate the new destination to the rest of the task force, who would no doubt follow the flagship promptly once their scouting duties on the location of the two enemy cruisers were completed. Regrouping at the frontier starport there seemed like a wise decision to plan their next move.

The familiar hum began slowly rising to a crescendo and the ship yawed towards the galactic southwest with a sparkle of purple aether coming into life about it. The helmswoman never could get tired of that magical tingle as energy was drawn from elsewhere, being a living part of the hyperspace circuit that was the Eucharis in those moments. Though kissing Jax-san was a pleasant tingle of another kind she wouldn't mind experiencing soon...

Rixxicore Colony Ship - Airlock

Natsumi arrived at the airlock. She was eager to get out of this filthy ship, but she remained at the airlock until every last member of her landing party was away. The last thing Natsumi wanted to do was leave someone behind in this hell hole, with the bug men.

"Good work" She replied to Tsuguka and Candon as they reported their added mission complete. Then, as she collected the last reports on her team, Natsumi had kicked off from the colony vessel, jetting her way quickly across to the Eucharis.

YSS Eucharis - Power Armor Bay

As soon as her armored boots touched down on the polished deck of the power armor bay and the decontamination process began Natsumi let out the breath she had been holding since she had launched from the colony vessel.

She was home. The snowy haired neko smiled to herself. Other than one hiccup, they had conducted a mission to a hostile alien ship with sucess. That said though, she was going to have to examin the logs from Akiko's power armor flight recorder. She was concerned what might have caused the sudden and violent attack on Akiko when the rest of the away team had been generally left alone other than crude insults. Something had to have gone wrong. For now though, Natsumi needed to finish here, then get to the bridge and also debrief her team.

As soon as the decontamination process was finished, Natsumi got out of her MINDY and got back into her uniform, feeling much much more comfortable now that her armor had been cleaned and now that she was aboard the comparitavly spotless Eucharis.

She arrived on the bridge just in time to see Umeshu piloting the gunship into hyperspace, catching a final glimps of the rixxicore colony ship on the main view screen before the gunship flashed away.

"Reporting back from the mission, Shosho" Natsumi said as she came to attention beside Hanako's command chair. "The data we were able to gather aboard the colony ship is being downloaded into the computer for analysis and we were able to recover several samples" she reported to the admiral.

"I don't have one. Situation never really required it in the past... And no, it's not Akairo Kyosei." Tsuguka give gave a rather gruff snappy response, as if the bad pun she laid on Ruxxles was obvious. Yamataigo for a red giant star. Really she just wanted to avoid using her actual name at the time, in case the bugs got access to the SYNC network. "If you think of one, I'm open to suggestions. Currently I'm told my humor coefficient requires improvement."

Entering the decontamination zone didn't change her stance at all, the uncompromising neko seemed to just float as rigid as a statue for a moment until the Eucharis' gravitational field was slowly allowed to drag the soldier down onto the floor. Technically she didn't actually have to look at Candon to perceive him, given the Mindy's clusters of sensor arrays, but her absolute stillness and lack of outwardly changing temperament made it more like being in the company of a machine.

"What kind of callsign is Candyman, Joto Hei Suites?" She spoke as if Man was just an odd component as Candy, alrough she hadn't exactly seen much of the world aside from countless other female nekovalkyrja. "I'm... not sure I understand the criteria in question... Do you manufacture confectionery?"

"Command, we are back on board." The weird line of thought was cut off upon entering the interior decks once more, and she set about adding both her Mindy and the hyperdrive booster onto the equipment roster for the logistics team to find. She put her SMG back onto the rack in order to get another hand on the body bag, but the helmet stayed firmly on her head for now. "Science team, we await your arrival in the armor bay."

Rixxikor Airlock - Eucharis PA Bay

Taharial smiled as she saw the others leave. "Finally we can get off this vessel." She kicked off and used the thrusters to slowly guide herself back to the Eucharis happy to be off that disgusting ship, she could see the Eucharis getting closer to her but she forced herself not to speed up as she didn't want to get to the PA Bay too fast.

She daintily landed in the PA Bay and looked over at Tsuguka "Oh yea Tsug, I will have to give you a medical at some point, but it seems I will be busy for a while, swing round the Med Lab later and I will make sure you are all well." She let a giggle escape her lips as she started to remove her armour "I'll go gently on you, no need to hurt an old friend" she groaned as she took off the armour her wings then spread out quickly and fluttered around "Much better, so I will see all I need to in the Med Lab" she then left the Pa Bay and headed to the Med Lab after she placed her armour on the dolly

Med Lab

Taharial entered her domain and smiled "It's good to be home," she laughed then became serious as she started to clean the Labs for the bodies she was expecting. "Well now time to see what makes this creatures tick."

Eucharis

Aikiko salvaged the still useful Manipulator Pack and stored it in her section of the Power Armor Bay after she had checked it over. Seeing it had actually survived the hail of weapons fire along with the teleporter device. The weapons and the remaining ammo was removed from the Mindy so that Jax could get to work on it as soon as he could without the worry of dealing with the ordinance it carried when heading into a hostile situation.

She had gotten the Armor Dollies ready for the crew when they got back to the Eucharis along with a cart for the 'packages' they was bringing back.

At least it was clean and decon already for his care when he was ready for it. She perked up when the Decon Chamber began to cycle the returning team from the Rixxikor ship. She was semi-hidden within the P.A. Bay as she removed the Daisy Armor to be stowed away. She counted the times the Decon Chamber cycled and was a bit surprised at the number of times it cycled. It seamed that Everyone had taken the tour of the Rixxikor slime ship, with the exception of logistic crew and the bridge crew.

She was happy that everyone made it back that went over to the Rixxikor Colony Ship, even though she didn't show it. She reflected back over her actions to see where things had gone wrong. But it sure did provided more in-depth intelligence on the biology of the Rixxikors that had been lacking.

PA Bay, Decon

Candon landed like a feather, he loved the feeling of armor that was tuned to perfection.

Open Space -> Eucharis PA Bay

"I don't have one. Situation never really required it in the past... And no, it's not Akairo Kyosei." Tsuguka give gave a rather gruff snappy response, as if the bad pun she laid on Ruxxles was obvious. Yamataigo for a red giant star. Really she just wanted to avoid using her actual name at the time, in case the bugs got access to the SYNC network. "If you think of one, I'm open to suggestions. Currently I'm told my humor coefficient requires improvement."

Candon shrugged as he laughed softly. "Depends on who you ask," he answered, "It's complicated, I can explain it better over dinner.. or whatever meal is next."
'I wonder what time it is anyway, he thought as he waited for the decontamination to finish.
"Aikiko," he called over a private channel, "I need to know what happened back there. When you get a minute I want you to write up an explanation and leave it on your armor station workbench. I'm going to be inspecting the damage too so don't send it to the fab bay yet."

The moment the decontamination ended he would drop the bug bag on the cart and head to his armor station.

Wazu would make his way to his assigned room, tossing his bag onto one of the empty bunks and then fishing out his pressure suit, helmet, and the pack of radiation and shock stickers. He slapped one of each on the back of the helmet, suited up, and then headed toward the medical bay...

… though when he got there, he found that he had beaten the Rixxikor corpses to the Medical Bay. Without waiting a beat he'd head towards the power armor bay.

I should thank you for getting some bodies to examine,” Wazu said as he arrived, his words muffled almost entirely by his helmet. His pressure suit looked downright ancient compared to the sleek Mindy armors. Instead of armored panels his suit was made up of a dull gray/green fabric that was slightly poofy everywhere from the neck down. A small box with controls and a fold down panel was on the front of his chest, Velcro, Magnets, and a mirror were setup on both arms, and small tubes seemed to be running down along the exterior. The helmet itself had a golden visor and a bulky respirator that looked something like a cross between a fishbowl and a gas mask.

He would open the front Panel of the suit, and quickly adjust one of the knobs before closing the it back up,

“I should thank you for getting some bodies to examine,” He repeated, this time the speakers on the suit relaying the information in a normal volume, he would head towards Candon's power armor station, looking to get ahold of the bug-bags,

“Charisma is also looking at comparing the weapons fire from the Rixxikor earlier and the previous engagements. There does not seem to be much similar between that handheld weapon and the Kuvexian starship-grade weapons but that is to be expected. Even if they were made by the same people, they would likely use very different mechanisms for weapons of differing scales...”

He would then look over at the rest of the armor team adding...

“So, do any of you want to cut open a Rixxikor corpse?”
