Just that events are pretty close to that scene. It wasn't intentional.
Dumont and her resident spacer have been super busy as of late, to be fair.
You're nearly towards the end of the mission anyhow.

While there may be room for improvement in how Alex fights, Alex is doing the right thing.
Uso chose this path because she wants to keep all of their forces grouped up in one strong push, then overwhelm everything directly in their path as fast as possible.
Get in and out before they get swarmed and destroyed.
Of course Uso isn't used to leading groups, and just expects everyone to know this and carry out the plan (Because she's used to everyone all being super-elite commandos who come up with the same plans)

I'm basically winging it on the scale, but going from bottom to top:
We've got Mt Gilpnir that was exploded in an attempt to burry the city.
Then we have the four craters from the orbital strike where we exploded the land slide to keep the land slide from burrying the city.
Osman city is in the center.
To the left of Osman City is what I am calling the Vek-Hole: The vek are burrowing down from here and mining all sorts of good stuff.
The grey rectangle above that is the starport: A giant patch of concrete that the I'ee are building that we can land our ships and stuff on.
and then up at the top is the crater from where the White Lament landed.

The four craters and the mountain and big crater below them make me think of a little jumping spider.
