Now that the dust is settling, I'd like to say that we've all come together and decided to make something new to share with everyone; the Black Star Alliance.

Like the UOC before, we're going to make a faction under which many other factions can join and participate as a major part of this. In this way, smaller factions will get more of the limelight as we all come together. Though they'd act as a whole through decisions made by council regarding defense and such, each faction within the Alliance will be able to have its own ships and fleet to give a sense of diversity. Currently, we're laying the groundwork for the faction including In-Character roleplay foundations, as well as wiki-work however.

Anyone interested in 'The Alliance'?
 
I think this sounds like a cool thing. I would definitely love to become a part of developing another faction (and probably make lots of stuff for it/do something important)
 
Lets see here... gotta pull up my OOC bucket list:

Somehow end up in an important position
End up with a character entwined with royalty/important people by IC accident
Make IC history
MECHS I want em.
 
Hm. The first three would be up to your character and how you play them out, but the fourth I think is easy enough. Chances are, we'll be employing mechs as a key part of the military, so there's that.
 
Yus. Mechs coming back into the limelight. This is good. I think that a neat thing to do eventually would be to have Alex from 188604 become a part of this, since he's somehow becoming important over there, and I think that the USO would totally fit in this kind of alliance.

Sure. Especially if the casus belli is good. As long as we're kept in the loop and it makes sense IC, I think we got a green light.
 
All activity is good activity. If people think it's cool enough to use it, well, that's awesome. That's always been my stance.
 
I'm down with the Alliance. I've expressed some interest to Acewing and Edto already. I might be developing a NPC species in the future that could be a part of this. Still working out the details to make sure they make sense, but I am currently thinking they will be a nomadic race of insectoids that are masters of genetics and biotech.
 
So yea uh.. part of this... equipping them... across the board, good times ahead.

I can almost assure you, and everyone else, that there will at least be a facet of this faction that could be used as Antagonists in plots, and this is actually an encouragement. We just need to hammer out the detail. While this is subjected to change in some ways, I gotta say, Mercenaries are great =D

Heroic from what perspective? Cause Hero's are in the eye of the beholder.
