This suggestion has been implemented. Votes are no longer accepted.
Approval revoked.
  1. The checklist was not used.
  2. Civilian ship not paired with this.
  3. Has Origin working with people in the Hades system - is this canonically possible?
  4. Not in the starship template at all.

I want all starship submissions to use the template provided so they have a common layout. The rules say to use the template. I'm asking you to use the starship template. I don't see how I can make this any more clear.

Frost, give it a break man.

So its not a guideline but a mandatory rule? Because this wasn't the case before. This moving carrot routine is getting a little stale.

The Reviwers guide says rather specifically that they MAY post the check list. Which is a bit different than saying they SHOULD post the check list.

I suppose confusion on that front can be averted by changing the wording.

This is going to be kept above board and to the required letter Wes wants to see.

@Ametheliana is finely capable of handling a review of a submission where only a few issues remain and Wes has clearly outlined them.

Everyone is aware of the cliquey entanglements here, but as we have no active reviewers who don't belong to one side or the other, this is what has to happen.

The next post in this thread will be @Ametheliana's to make.

I will delete any others, and keep your likes to yourself.

Notes
Please rearrange to match the starship template.

Need to verify approved/not approved status of all subsystem articles as none of them say if the were approved or not.

Seems like the number of missile launcher is pretty excessive.

Need clarification on how ONI and Origin are connected.

I intend to finish this review by: 10/1/17

Why is this number of missiles excessive?

There are other ships with similar massive amounts of missiles and DR output, and we haven't gotten a guideline on what is acceptable regarding missiles.

I think it

is something to do with the DR 3 mandate. A certain amount of weapons are allowed base s on tier.

Well, I was thinking in terms of "what is the normal number of weapon systems on a ship of this size in the SARPiverse?"

We've been over the missile issue, I believe we classified them as ammunition and the launchers the actual weapon systems.

What is the normal number of weapon systems on a ship this size in SARP?

We had a guideline for this previously and it keeps getting taken down. Since there is no normal number of weapon systems for a ship this size and no guideline for how many weapons you should have no one can really say how many weapons it should have and it's super unfair to people who submit stuff to get judged on a guideline they can measure their stuff against.

The problem is made worse by the NTSE lacking a standard for missiles and other expendable weapons.

Ultimately there are ships above and below this in terms of weapons per unit of size for a variety of reasons.

I'm surprised this article is still going. But it looks like the usual is about to start happening. Might I make a suggestion to @Wes and @Doshii Jun and anyone else who actually is staff or NTSE working on this. This ship is built on some hotly debated points and if people are allowed to drag them in this will never in short of some gavel slamming. Since there are no actual -rules- concerning the number of weapons a ship can have, I suggest not letting people talk about that debate on why there is no standard, arguing about it is part of what got the partial standard we had pulled anyway. This ship is 'new territory' for the site, or at least something that hasn't been seriously thought about for a while. So there really shouldn't be outside discussion brought it. There is a rule that past submissions can't be used to validate new submissions as well, so any post that are talking about "Well this had it" or something, should probably be removed. Let's just take the ship for what it is.

Now this is just my personal opinion @Wes but with the missile tubes, I think the fire rate(for the entire ship) is the only thing that really matters in concern to how many there are. There are like 2000 tubes but according to what is written there are only going to be 6 missiles every 2 seconds, so that's like 3 double barrel heavy cannons. (Of course this relies on the chart being 100% accurate and not misleading)
