Notes: This is meant to be the page for Asteria's self-defense force. Right now, I'm wondering if I left anything out, so let me know if there should be anything added. Also, the equipment page isn't being submitted right now since I need to go over it more.

Okay, is there a better name though? "Imperial Guard" means they're for an Empire or an Empreror in the same way "Royal Guard" would be for e King or Kingdom. However Asteria is not an Empire, it's an autonomous region. Would the "Asterian Guard" or "Territorial Guard" work?

Actually, we got Asteria being headed by a 'Mikado' (帝) - it's an older term for Emperor/Empress I think. Because of that, 'Imperial' seemed fitting. Still, I'll go ahead and talk to the others and see what we can cook up, since they did like that most. I'll let you know as soon as I got something.

Why not Mikado Guard? Or an adjective form, like maybe Mikadan Guard? It would give you some uniqueness as well as reference what kind of leader you have in multiple locations on the wiki.

Shield of Asteria says a lot in just a few words.

Thanks for taking off the unnecessary ships! It means a lot!!

I've gone ahead and changed the name over to 'Shield of Asteria', and after it's approved, I'll also change the namespace accordingly as well (thank god for the name edit tool)

Here's what I said:
if you want to have a very small number (single digits) of additional (not Eagle-class) ships that come from Fate's forces I'm willing to talk about that on a case-by-case basis later (post approval adjustments), for ship class inclusion purposes.
I have yet to have anyone come to be about these ships, that I can recall.

This was the approved article: https://wiki.stararmy.com/doku.php?id=faction:asteria:shield_of_asteria&rev=1501986227
This is the current article: https://wiki.stararmy.com/doku.php?id=faction:asteria:shield_of_asteria&rev=1506201331

There are 98 additional ships repeatedly being re-listed that are unauthorized, unapproved additions to the article.

The Asteria crew seems to keep adding this stuff back after it's fixed. Please stop metagaming and go through approvals.

How is any of this meta gaming?

I'd like you to reduce the amount of Lorath ships in Asteria's inventory to small, minimally significant amounts, such as single digits of each class. At great expense, Yamatai has already provided a large amount of ex-UOC ships to flesh out the Shield's forces, and per RP with Doctomoe Fate's rebellion was all but destroyed. I can allow a handful of Lorath ships to have survived but just a handful. Thanks.

The problem with that is that in RP, Fate's remaining forces after all the fighting was done, and after being captured, counted just under 100 ships. We took into account what those ships were later, but if this is still too many, we can simply begin scrapping and selling the vast majority of them to fund our new nation. I think this makes the most sense, since it provides continuity to all the RP we've done up to this point.

Where does it say 100 ships in RP?

[EDIT]
...Wes says otherwise. The survivors are up to him, but we do know that out of that hundred, at least Fate's flagship made it.

So they started with a 100 ships?

The definition of metagaming is this.
In role-playing games, metagaming is an "out of character" action where a player's character makes use of knowledge that the player is aware of but that the character is not meant to be aware of.
Therefore this is not o.x

I'm okay with the scrapping idea (as long as it happens in a timely manner).

Also Asteria will probably start racing to develop its own designs soon, won't it?

Yamatai also gave them old UOC ships.

But.
Where does it say 100 ships in RP?

[EDIT]

So they started with a 100 ships?

What is even the problem with it anyway? Are you planning to come rp in Asteria? If so the okay. If not then what is the real worry? I only ask so that the worry can be addressed.
