I've been rather unfair, as I should have said something sooner.
As this plot gets closer and closer to being finished, it gets harder and harder for me to move it at all. Currently, I am having a lot of difficulty trying to figure out what to do next, as I have made matters even worse by bungling this phase with my poor decision making and performance as a GM. I'm currently trying to figure out what to do, but without too much luck - as it has been, I've been operating off of the previous GM's plot framework, modified and expanded as necessary. Which had been necessary, many times over. Even then, it is difficult. As I type this out, I am starting to realize that perhaps even trying to follow the original 'pathway' set - no matter how loosely - may have been a particularly bad idea, and that I should have tried to make it my own plot from the moment I had to take the reins.
I'm embarrassed to say that up until this point, I have always seen this plot as the previous GM's shoved upon me, rather than my own, which is likely what is causing us all this grief at this point in time.
I must say that I'm very sorry for the slow, puttering pace of this plot, as it should have moved much more quickly as the other plots that I've worked on as of late. And almost as importantly - though most certainly not as importantly - curse the prior GM's name for the nine-thousand-and-oneth time.
Hang in there guys, I'll think of something GOOD for once, rather than use old, canned orders.
