I like them all, and I am okay with paying extra to get the multiple variations. Looking for RIKUPAT camo on the top ones and two tone on the bottom 2.

The first and third (Without the cloak/pancho) are good. The third with the beret slayed me.

Sorry for so many delays, I'm at my mother's helping her with some things and end up so exhausted I can't draw.
Haven't been sleeping all too well either thanks to many different factors, the drawing is going nicely but only the face is inked.
Monday - Tuesday is going to be kind of problematic here for me, I might be without internet those days but we'll see.

In any case, it will get done but not yet, I'm really sorry.

Even when there's no art with your update posts, I appreciate that you're maintaining good communication.

Character Name: Jun Nan

Character wiki page up-to-date? (Y/N): Y
Uniform/Clothing Reference URL:
Notes: (Pose, expression, props, etc) I want to do a picture from the waist up with Nan holding out the peace sign and has a very Teen Beat esque expression. No jacket, just his blue jeans and black T-shirt

Who is paying, you or Star Army? I will pay.

Lines look good!

Looks like he's having a ball. Oops, just realized he's Yamataian. The awesome mustache made me think Nepleslian.

Uniform/Clothing Reference URL: If Asteria has a uniform by the time you get to me I'll probably request that. If not I think I'd like him in this: https://wiki.stararmy.com/doku.php?id=stararmy:equipment:aerospace_flight_suit

Prop: Helmet in hand like the pose below

You may be asking "what's taking so long?"
Well, as I said in my latest post, I made this harder for myself. It obviously wasn't my intention and I thought I had "mapped" out how to get this done without as much work as if it was 4 characters, yet it ended up just like that anyways. I'm going to explain it just in case anyone reading does illustrations too.

Lineart:

I do it in so many layers you wouldn't believe, have you seen the "spent X hours drawing only to find out I was inking on the sketch layer" memes? Well, almost everyone if not everyone has gone through this, my solution to this is, when I have doubts I create a new layer. Would be best if I named them as I create them but that interrupts the flow, and once or twice is not enough but do it often enough and the technical aspect of digital art starts bullying the artistic one.

Colors:

This one takes time as I don't do it with fillers and all that, I do it by hand but the layering is simple. Each color has its own layer. This helps masking and shading, plus it's important if I mess up a color, I can just replace that color without altering the whole thing. (this only works pre highlight though)

Shading:

I create a mask from all the color and lineart layers. Then I put a global shade and use different layers to add light. I also create accent layers when required to darken some areas.

Highlights:

Another mask is required for this, but it's a matter of copying the previous one and working from there. Just like the lineart, there are a lot of layers covering the highlights.

So yea, now imagine having to rework it one by one 'cause it didn't end up looking how you thought it would. That's where I'm at, the shading is done and the colors have been done for days, just that I realized that if I want to finish before judgement day, I need to put the base colors image as a guide for what needs the most attention and how the next set of masks should go.

So I apologize to those waiting their turn, this is my bad and worst of all, I still have no clue how to make it faster. I guess I need to plan better somehow or be more skilled.

Color changes:
  1. Please color the poncho on the top right one in the RIKUPAT pattern
  2. Please replace the RIKUPAT on the top two images with a bigger version - the color blobs are so small they are blending together. I'm looking for the camo pattern to be about this size:

Also how much more money do you want for making these extra versions? I'm not sure how much to send.
