RP: YSS Genesis [Aside] Something to do.

"Yeah, Just some laceys and some shirts and stuff for Off-duty, it's strange how none of the ugly standard-issue stuff got destroyed..." Saito answered, rolling her eyes as Yuril would feel Shizuka shaking slightly in suppressed laughter, since she was still hiding with her hands on the silver-haired neko's back.

"Well, we've all gotten what we wanted, too, so, why not time to relax?" Dick offered, pulling out his communicator again. "I checked the weather for the day, sunny skies, just a few clouds, no rain, and the perfect level of humidity. It's a nice day, today."

"Ugly things are made to last I suppose," offered Yuril with a coy smirk, "not that I have a particularly knack for fashion myself. I went swimsuit shopping once, years ago. Although, I haven't been anywhere with any actual place to shop in quite a while but..."

The neko shrugged, "That weather sounds pretty good. So, we'll just get a taxi, and head to one of these parks then? You all seem to know more about this place then I, so I'll confer to your judgement for a good park. I'll cover the taxi fare again, unless anyone objects?"

The three others shrugged. "We don't have any problem with that." Saito responded, but Yuril felt a tug on the back of her uniform.
"Umm, I know it's not really much or anything, but I'd like to pay the fare." She seemed to be acting shy about it, but she also seemed a bit insistent for no apparent reason. Saito shrugged again, rolling her eyes and the two men just chuckled.

"Looks like she found a new friend..." Saito mumbled. "Whatever, let's go back to the road, the cabs should find us easy enough."

Yuril turned around to find her pink-haired friend tugging at her uniform, when she offered to pay, the silver-haired neko offered a smile to her, "Alright then Shizuka. Well, let's go find a taxi then eh? Then I'll get to see one of these parks!"

With that she marched off with her band of new friends, heading towards one of the roads so they could hail a taxi, pile on in, get the park selected, and then arrive at said park. In the meantime, Tsukade decided to fiddle around with her datapad, browsing around for things to pass some freetime.

The rest followed, with Shizuka looking over Yuril's shoulder interestedly as the other three chatted, continuing a conversation they had been having before. This continued when they go into the taxi, and Shizuka slid her KS card through the reader, poking in some directions, and then the cab took off.

"So, what are you doing, Yuril?" Shizuka asked, looking with interest at the older Neko's datapad.

Tsukade glanced up at her new-found friend and shrugged lightly, "Well... kind of looking around for... things, I guess! I haven't used this datapad all that much actually. Seems you can even buy things on it, and well as I'm in a shopping mood a bit still... why not poke around for fun? You never know what you might find, huh?"

"True. Ooh, what about that?" Shizuka pounced, poking at a relatively cheap 'grab bag' advertised from a salvage company. the window zoomed in, bringing up the offer for the two to see. "Hrrmmm... dunno what's in it, but it can't be too bad. Salvage always sounded fun to me..."

"Salvage huh...? Well, that could be rather interesting..." the neko looked at the datapad thoughtfully, "It is kind of cheap too..."

A fingertip danced just above the option to purchase it, before she shrugged slightly and pressed it, "Why the heck not, right? I've always liked a little gambling in my life, heh."

Almost immediately, Yuril's bid was responded to- she had won the auction, and now it was asking her for an address as to where to deliver the goods she had won, as well as a window showing the deduction from her KS account.

"Whoah... that was, quick..." Shizuka noted, eyes somewhat wide. "Umm... We might want to arrange for some storage for you..."

"Erm, yeah that was kind of quick, uhm..." the neko quickly began entering the information for Dawn Station, "ah... I think that'll do it. Guess I'll need to look into where to store it though, do... you have an idea for this Shizuka?"

"Well..." Shizuka began "We've all got some persona; storage down here on the station, but from the looks of it you'll need a bigger unit..."

************

Luckily for Yuril, delivery of goods took a few hours, so, after some swift perusing of the networks on her Datapad, Yuril was able to find some stoarage units that could fit a large lot of stuff, send the address to the seller, and still have time to go to the park for a while. A bit of relaxing in the rather well-simulated sunshine, in a green, living park with plants and even animals such as birds, insects, squirrels, bunnies, and even occasional larger animals like deer, Made Yuril's companions feel rather relaxed, though they did take some time to explain just how good a job Origin had done making the station feel like a planet inside.

Afterwards, once Yuril had gotten confirmation that her loot had arrived on station, The group went with her down to the storage unit. Now, they stood in front of the corrugated, roll-up door that led into the rather large unit she had rented.

Shizuka was the one to break the silence as they stood there. "Well, You should do the honors of opening it up, so we can check out just what you've gotten..."

The silver-haired neko eyed the door, then she bent down to lift the door up off the ground and herald the opening of her new storage unit, full of salvage!

The first thing she noticed was... well, there was a lot of boxes. Far more then she would've expected given the price.

"Wow. That's uh... that's a lot of things. Who knew you could find deals like that..."

Yuril strode on into the unit, beginning to peer about, she reached for her datapad, "I wonder if they sent me a list of what is exactly in here..."

There in fact was a list of items that Yuril had inadvertently bought in her grab-bag, but one thing would become immediately obvious. There were Five cows. In the center of the unit, a small fence had been erected, and Yuril's five new Bovine pets could be seen, and heard mooing softly.

All in all, among the things were several items that she certainly did not want, and several things that would be of use, but it might take a bit of sorting and shuffling through boxes to figure out what should be kept, what should be gotten rid of, and what should be left in storage.

"What are you going to do with the cows?" Tom asked, looking at the livestock with an amused eye.

Tsukade skimmed over the list several times, her thinking only distracted by the mooing of the bovines. She really hadn't been expecting that.

"Somehow, cows being considered salvage... well, whatever. Never thought I'd end up buying some cows." she looked down the list, "Lots of... interesting odds and ends in here and..."

The neko froze and scrolled back up the list to what caught her eye, she gestured for Shizuka to come over to her, then she pointed at the list, "Helashio! And look... control devices?!"

Yuril looked about nervously for a moment, "I think this requires some ah... some looking into. Yes."

As for the cows... "Uhm, well the cows ah... good question. I don't think I can really, well, bring them anywhere... any suggestions? I'm just uh... going to go look at this uhm... very interesting items on the list... yeah."

Tom scratched his head. "I'll put some calls through. I think we can find a home on the station for these poor creatures. wonder how long they've been sitting around in warehouses.."
He seemed to be the only one concerned about that, as Shizuka, Saito, and Dick had picked up on the word 'Helashio'.

"Wait, Helashio, like the Lorath slave thingies?" Saito pointed out. "Isn't that illegal? You're a criminal!" she announced, jumping back as if affronted by the idea.

"Well, I think she'll be fine if we free them and release them to the Authorities, right?" Shizuka offered, looking at Dick for confirmation.

"Yeah, We should take them out and get rid of the collars, and I'll call the DSS... I don't think we should get the Star army involved in this... we could get in a lot of trouble, but I think the DSS will be a bit more lenient..."

Yuril raised her hands defensively, "I-it's not like the salvage list said it had Helashio in it! H-how was I supposed to know!? Oh god, what have I landed myself in now..."

The neko sighed and rubbed her temples, "Let's just... just go look and uh... we'll need to find those control devices and scrap them and uhm... I really wish I knew more about law now." the silver-haired neko shook her head, walking through the warehouse seeking out the Helashio, "This is not going to be a good day if I get thrown into prison by the end of it..."

Tom and Dick chuckled at Yuril's reaction, shaking their heads. "Don't worry, we'll take care of it" they reassured her, walking outside of the storage unit to make some calls.

"I'll go find the box with the controller, so we can free them!" saito offered, grabbing Yuril's datapad so she could look over the manifest and try to locate the item. That left Shizuka.

"Well...." she started, a bit awkwardly, "I guess we should open the boxes, then?"

The silver-haired neko ran a hand through her hair and nodded, mostly to herself.

"Yeah, I guess we should. They shouldn't be too hard to find, right? I'd think the boxes would be kind of obvious..." muttered Yuril, beginning to search the warehouse for where some Helashio might be stored.

It didn't take long for the boxes to be located, though they weren't what Yuril was expecting for a Helashio to be stored in. They were not particularly large, but they were white, and smooth, and had a certain amount of electronics attached to them, as if they were used for storing provisions that needed to be kept at a certain temperature.

The instructions were in Lorath, which meant they were nearly completely indecipherable to the average Yamataian, but two likely looking buttons - one green, one red - probably operated the seals on the covers.

The shipping company hadn't bothered to put them together, and so one was tucked away in a corner, while the other one was in the center of the room, near the cows, though lickily there was a pile of crates in the way, so the heiffers were not annoying.

The silver-haired neko frowned as she examined the container, she didn't know any Lorathian... and forcing it open was probably not the intended way to operate the thing. At worst, it'd probably kill whoever was inside it.

There were only two buttons, so at the very least she didn't have to guess that much, and she didn't think it would be setup to allow any damage to come to the occupant if you pressed the wrong button... she hoped.

"Erm, well... here goes nothing, right?"

She nervously jabbed at the green button.
