RP [Case 1] Regarding Homeland Security

Makoto landed the cruiser next to Ladydick's car. She had driven in silence, reviewing the information on her pad in her digital mind in silence and tuning out the god awful noise Sashi had insisted on putting on the radio.

The SAINT operative exited the vehicle as soon as it was shut down and strode away from it. She withdrew her small pocket tablet again and compared some note to the visual data she was taking in of the location. She then quickly caught up with the other two, but did not interrupt them, just observed.

"Anata no kako no tsumi kara hanarete mite!~
Kyō wa anata no saigodearu ka no yō ni ikiru!~"

Sashi was still singing his godawful pop music as he emerged from the patrol vehicle and waltzed-- No, sashayed-- right up to Makoto's back and settled his fingers across her shoulders to play the imaginary keyboard that he'd visualized across her back.

Immediately, Ladydick lowered his fedora even more and sighed that hardboiled detective sigh. "Pumkin, what the hell is wrong with you?"

Makoto sensed and heard Sashi coming up behind her before he actually touched her. He had been singing along with that noise he had put on the entire trip. But now he crossed the unspoken line drawn in the sand as his fingers drummed his fingers across her back in tune with his song.

She moved. She made no sound, gave no sign of emotion, but was suddenly spun around, her hand clamped down on Sashi's wrist, twisting it as a booted foot swept his feet out from under him, forcing him to his knees. She applied the appropriate twist and pressure to his wrist to get his attention and keep him immobilized, but not injury him at all before she spoke.

"Consider the fact that if I did not know you were on the same team I could have killed you with as little effort as it took me to disable you." she stated. There was no sign of anything in her voice beyond cold certainty. "Do not touch me again" she said, then let him go and returned to her tablet as if nothing had happened.

"Ooooh we got a serious spook in this one Buck," Andrea chuckled looking at Ladydick. She was a bit sorry for Sashi. The ex-nepleslian cop actually liked the girly bugger. He was a sight for a sore eyes. Well he was probably a bit faggy, but he was lively and really cared for a job. Still in the prime of his ideals. That was always refreshing sight.

"You kill all the people who touch you? Or just the ones that cannot fight back?" Andrea asked looking at the spy. It could not hurt to tease her a bit. Andrea also knew that the spy took Sashi by surprise and from what she has seen, when Sashi puts his mind into it, he can brawl well.

"Yeah, well," Sashi sputtered after a moment of sitting with a shocked look on his face to let it all sink in, "C-consider for a moment that we're supposed to work together and there's a lot more polite ways to ask people not to touch you."

The poor boy looked as if he was truly hurt, internally, perhaps even about to cry. Then again, Sashi was such an expressive individual, it was hard to tell just how intense his feelings were.

Ladydick just peeked at his communicator again and asked the only important question. "Where are the two biker girls?"

Inbound shuttle.

Hoshiko sighed, looking out the window at the skyline zipping by her. She had been late, having missed the briefing and sure it had already been reported back to her mother. Everything she screwed up was always somehow reported back to her mother... He blues eyes locked on the pilot next to her, glaring angrily at the woman that had made her late. The woman had been apologetic sure, even to the point of fearful as Hoshiko had waited outside her base lodging, scowl set across her features. Small by most any standards, Hoshiko none the less cut an imposing, even scary figure for her size. But she didn't care about that right now, the woman couldn't even see her, the SAINT operative wrapped tightly in a cloaked cocoon to keep herself private from the screw up.

Just weeks ago she had been stationed at VICKY performing menial desk job tasks, going over reports and paper work, nearly tearing out her hair in rage at the monotany that had become her life. But now...Now she was back in the field. Her mother trusted her enough it seemed to allow her transfer request to finally go through. No more freezing her ass off with the rest of the cookie cutter ndkos on VICKY.

Grinning a little Hoshiko watched as the shuttle finally made it to the warehouse district where she had been told to meet the group, and report to a one...Ladydick...She had to shake her head in confusion as the shuttle shuddered to a stop before descending to the ground, the passenger side hatch opening to allow her out. Her pistol on her left and the serrated edged knife on her right, Hoshiko exited the shuttle still wrapped in her cloaked state as she sent a mental ping to the pilot to take off. Only more then happy to be rid of the spook, the shuttle was quickly off and running just as fast as it had set down.

Hoshiko would take in each of the crew, moving silently off to the left of the group as she observed them, trying to get a handle as best she could as she came up beside the man in the hat, taking up position just beside his free side before dropping her cloak, trying her best to act as if she had been there the entire time.

Of course her arrival did not go unnoticed. Makoto spotted the cloaked woman as soon as she arrived and kept tabs on her the entire time, while still appearing to work on note taking with her tablet. This was an incredibly simple feat with her skin vision, she was able to easily watch the woman while keeping her eyes on the handheld display.

The black uniformed SAINT operative casually closed the gap between herself and the newcomer, her movements were that one someone walking along, paying little attention to anyone in particular. That was until the woman started moving in. Then suddenly Makoto's path brought her directly in front of the woman, imposing herself between the detective and the newcomer, her atomic green eyes flashed as she looked right into the newcomers.

"And who might you be?" the operative asked casually. She knew the woman was armed and she already had multiple plans of attack calculating through her mind, in case she needed to take this woman out very fast.

Blue eyes looked up at Makoto, glaring a little at the woman. She had worn her black panneled uniform, but then again who wasn't suspicious in SAINT? Hoshiko growled as he rested a hand on the grip of her dagger casually, toying with her spike back hair with her free hand.

"Itto Juni Hisae Hoshiko. I suppose I should thanks you for the introduction Santo Juni Isamu Makoto..."

Hoshiko didn't trust anyone, nor anything. To that effect Hoshiko tried to always know who she was going to be working with. It wasn't tough with her rank to fins out who the other SAINT Liaison was going to be for this group.

"So they sent you" Makoto replied. She had never met Hoshiko, but she did know her reputation. She thought it interesting that SAINT would send her to work with these police as well. "You can take your hand off the knife any time" she commented.

"Is there a problem with them sending me?" Seemed Hoshiko was a little hostile with the woman, though admittedly she did remove her hand from her knife.

"I'm unaware of anything marring my record, any service issues. So would there be a issue of me being here?" The smaller Neko narrowed her eyes at the giant. (compared to her)

Makoto smiled thinly at the diminutive neko in front of her. It's not your record that's the problem, it's your reputation she thought. "That depends what your assignment here is" she said, not asking the obvious question of why SAINT had sent such a skilled and notorious wetworks operative to join a police unit.

Makoto herself had done plenty in her time, even recently she had 'retired' a possible political obstacle for the empire. But what she knew of Hoshiko, she made an artwork out of it, even Makoto had to concede that this agent was someone she did not want to bump into in a dark ally. Which again drew her back to the question. Why was she here? Was one liaison not enough?

"Geh, another one!" Buck snorted, pushing the fedora back on his head. "What're you guys, flies 'r somethin'?"

"Well, Lieutenant Ladydick," Sashi seemed to pep up again and get to his feet rather quickly for someone on the verge of tears, crossing to stand next to Hoshiko and gesture emphatically, his white gloves tracing a path in the air, "As you said, the conditions of this facility reflect strongly the patterns we associate with Independant Worlds League safehouses. This is a threat to Imperial national security. We're lucky the YNP is involved in this at all. Furthermore, w--"

"You don't ever shut up, do ya, Sashi!?" Ladydick barked. He took a swat in the younger agent's direction. He added the next part in his native language, "Boy can't keep his mouth shut for five DA..."

Out side the sound of a 350cc motorcycle could be heard as it reverberated off of the warehouse walls. Sliding into an open parking spot with a loud screech Trudy killed the engine before taking off her helmet and shaking her hair out.

"Sorry I'm late, got caught up in traffic."

The sound of her heels clicking echoed off the concrete walls as she spoke.

"Oh did we get another SAINT agent?"

"Flies always have to clean up after the failures that die off..." Hoshiko said up to Ladydick, ignoring Makoto for the moment as she watched the newest arrival. Shaking her head a little she finally turned back to Makoto, addressing her in a far different voice then the icy demeanor from before. It was almost childish as he gaze softened.

"Don't know, don't care. I'm not behind a desk anymore and that's the best thing!" Hoshiko smiled even and stretched, making a small show of moving up to her tiptoes and seemingly extending her body even more. It was a odd transformation from the cold killer to the child as she stopped stretching, letting out a content sigh and just smiling around at the others now.

Buck peeled his perfect chiseled jaw and oceanic eyes away from the potential insult and fixed them on Trudy. He smiled to see her and waved.

"Alright, just missin' one more and we can get this little field trip underway." Buck commented, waving Trudy towards the rest of the gang, "Settle in and stretch out. I'm in no hurry to get in there but we gotta do it sometime. So let's just examine the exterior until the last character in this sad little play shows up."

Andrea watched the newcomer with her eyes. As she showed up and Makoto acted, Andy made a grab for her jitte at first, but then let go as she saw there was nothing to worry about. Just another SAINT agent. As if one was not enough. Andrea sighed and looked at the two woman and then Ladidick.

"Buck I get feeling this is going to be one of those cases." She said simple and then turned back to look at the Warehous once again.

Hoshiko let out a small content sigh before striding off, starting to search around the outside for what she could find. Eyes peeled to check entry points along the area, she made sure to pay attention to windows and doorways, and even see if she could find any blood or hair, anything that would leave DNA or other identifying clues behind.

It had been a while since she had been out in the field and while she felt a little rusty, she was also excited at the prospect. No it wasn't true fieldwork...but she had a chance to prove just how good she still was and maybe move out of this position back to real fieldwork.

As Hoshiko had been the first to look past her immediate surroundings, she would be the first to notice the deep gouges in the gravel just around the first corner. There were, at best estimates, five motorcycles which had left these marks. That, or some kind of strange ten-wheeled vehicle that left wiry, yet concentric tracks which swiveled away from the warehouse. Curiously, one of the tracks seemed to drag on past the warehouse parking-lot and onto the road beyond as a black smudge which quickly turned into simple hatches.

Meanwhile, back at the warehouse, Buck peeked at his communicator again for the time as he watched Hoshiko drift away.

"Meh." He provided, "The other biker's probably gotten tied up. Had to pull a guy over or something. She can see herself in, let's hit the scene. C'mon, Pumkin. Pick yourself off the ground and stop crying over the pretty spy lady what didn't play nice with you."

Sashi reluctantly obeyed, not wanting to shirk his duties to the YNP which he cherished so grandly. The blonde investigator peeled himself up from his knees and wandered over to the warehouse door, not even giving Makoto a second look.

Hoshiko, ever observant, saw the tracks easily enough. Following them to the road and a little further on, she eventually stopped, less then a quarter mile away before she lifted into the air and floated back to the warehouse. As she returned, she sent a mental ping to Makoto, trying to get her attention.

SAINT was SAINT, no matter what you did in the organization. Hoshiko didn't trust the compitence of these officers though...

Makoto had gone back to her note taking and observations after the brief encounter with Hoshiko. She did not hold anything against her fellow SAINT operative, nor did she harbor any malice, she just did not trust her or anyone else at face value, not until she knew them better. Anyone could stab you in the back.

She broke her attention away from what she had been examining as the mental ping came in from Hoshiko.

Code:
"What have you found?"

she asked over a secure wireless line to the other SAINT operative. Outwardly she appeared to be continuing with her ongoing activity. No need to make anyone aware of any change till it was necessary.
