CCG 2

https://stararmy.com/ccg/ccg2_skills.html

Skills page is done. Tommorow, I'll start work on the occupations one.

Let me know if there are any questions or suggestions for the skills list or anything else.

All CCG2 pages linked to a single style page. All non-hyperlinked races given temporary informaiton links. Text added. Word file character creation sheet added. Star Army occupations page and standard Star Army skills list added. Increased starting skills to seven.

CCG2 is now fairly usable. That is, you can now go all the way thorugh it to make a finished character. Elf species module is needed. NH-22 and NH-17 modules also (I'll do these).

Working on occupations listings for Star Army. I could use someone to work on the descriptions of civilian ones.

Given a little time and an idea on what you want your SE elves to be like I can do it in one night.

*creeps along, slowly but surely getting the occupation pages closer to completion*

Eh, also I noticed the appearance section of the Nepeslian CCG isn't really about appearance, lol. I'm going to move information from the charts in the CCG 1 in there and move that infor to the Playing page instead.

I'm also considering a having IDSOL as a race, considering the strong appearances they've made (The big guys, Hands-On Journalism, Filthy Horror in the Slums, etc.)

Would IDSOL be considered a Nepleslian variant or a Geshrin variant? I'm just thinking out loud here.

They're based on Nepleslians, technically, although they are genetically augmented, not cybernetically. The IDSOLs were the predecessors to the NH series weapons. The NH-1 was produced at the same time as the first Geshrin, so the Geshrin weren't around when the IDSOLs were new.

I'm thinking we may want to count them as their own species. Do you think so, too?

*Adding IDSOLS and Yamataians to CCG*

Note: Altough the Yamataians will replace the Geshrin, people will sill be able to make Geshrin characters, because there will likely be some folks who haven't transferred for whatever reason, especially this soon after the Neko RIP was passed.

Good question. They are taken out of the 7 skills a character is created with.

There's no infantry description.
Care to make one up? I've got my hands full.

Here's a small description for the MP job that i decided to write. If anyone has suggestions feel free to add them or correct areas where i'm wrong. Hope ya'll like this.

Military Police: The military police are the Law Enforcement Specialists of the Star Army. They are tasked with enforcing military law and regulations, as well as preventing crime and accidents. Their jobs include, but are not limited to; conducting area patrols, interviewing witnesses/suspects/victims in the coarse of investigating a crime, collecting fingerprints and other evidence, arresting and charging criminal suspects, testifying in court, guarding entrances and direct traffic.

Some skills that will help with the military police occupation:

Knowledge: Mp's have a full knowledge of military and civil laws and proceedures, crime and accident investigation proceedures, evidence collection proceedures; including fingerprinting and suspect questioning; traffic and crowd control proceedures.

Fighting: Mp's have the training neccasary to defend themselves and others. They also may need to know how to fight in the event they need to arrest or restrain un-cooperative individual.

Weapons: Mp have a working knowledge of all close quarters weapons and firearms used by the police force of the Star Army.

Ok that's my little toss up. I'd like to take this time to thank you for bothering to read this post and consider it, as well as give credit to the United States army. I took some of the information about U.S. Army MPs from the website www.goarmy.com the exact page where this information can be found is www.goarmy.com/JobDetail.do?id=98

Major update! CCG-2: Section 3 is up!

The new CCG is now operational. It's time to flesh it out more and get the unfinished sections done.

Weapons skill is now combined with Fighting, btw.

New race submission

I'm going to have to do this in several posts, because I have to go to work.

Altinian - The high race

The are two possible genders; male and female.
Their race can be classified as "cat -girl" I guess.
They call themselves Altinians or Children of the Blessed Realm.

Appearance:

Altinians are tall, 5.5 to 6.5 feet tall. The females are shorter and lighter in weight and build than the males. Males are more muscular and well built. Their skin tones range from pale blue, to teal, to green. They are covered by a soft down-like fur that helps insulate them against the cold. To the touch of a human they are extremely soft. They fur is the same color as the skin, with a few exceptions. All altinians have some sort of marking, whether it be sploches, spots, or stripes, though most have stripes. Their ears are usually large and well-developed for collecting sound waves, the ears swivel around to catch sounds. They have gill slits that extend from the base of the arm-pit, to the top of the hip. They are VERY adept at swimming and can breath underwater indefinately. They have long tails, at least as long as the Altinian is tall if not longer, it is also prehensile and can support their weight. At the end of the tail there are two major traits. The first is the ability to flatten out the skin and use the tail to propel the Altinian through the water. The second ability is the barb located at the tip of the tail for defense. The barb can inflict minor damage and usually serves as a distraction, though a few Altinians (the newset generation) have very small poison sack attached to the barb. The toxin is a mild sleep inducing agent that makes the foe drowsy. The Altinains have powerfully built legs, as well as claws on their hands and feet. They do not have whiskers. They do have the nictating membrane across thier eyes like a eath cat does, it protects the eye while the Altinian is swimming. For the anatomy: An Altinain has two hearts, one in the regular place, and the second just below the stomach. They do have lungs, but they are very small, say 1.5 times the size of a human's fist. The lungs do not work very well and are simply a supplement to the gills. The gills MUST be immersed in water at least once every 24 hrs or they will dry out and the Altinian will begin to suffocate. The liver is more efficient than a human liver. The main difference I like is the bone marrow. An Altinain's bone marrow is unique. It can begin producing mass quantities of blood at a a very rapid rate the instant the Altinian is severely hurt (severed artery kind of hurt). This means the Altinian can "bleed out" and still be okay, for they are still producing tons of blood to support themselves. This is very energy draining and the subject must rest for several days before being able to go about daily tasks again. As for bodily appearance: Altinians have longer hair in their heads, it is silky, straight or wavy, and fine. The males usually keep the bangs tied back, while the females generally keep the hair loose. NO ALTINIANS WEAR CLOTHING. They have no need, as the planet they live on is entirely water. A person looking at an Altinian cannot see the genetalia because it is covered with thick, course fur. They wear ceremonial bracers, earrings (males amd females), and necklaces. Royalty wear crowns and leg bracers and occasionally capes. Military personnel wear chest sashes (male) or waist sashes (female) that have rank and award status pins. Government officials also wear sashes indicating place of office.

Well that's all for now, I have to go to work.
Hope to continue this later and I hope I've peaked your interest.

Wow! Thanks Kristin! *hugs*

That certainly put a smile on my face.

*hack hack blarg coughs up hairball* don't we have enough catpeople around? why not other types? catpeople are so overdone.

/rant

btw, good species bio.

The RP universe that our characters live is pretty much overflowing with catgirls. I agree with Tyler that we have enough. On the other hand, I don't see how a few million more can make matters any worse.

To the anti-catgirl people out there, science fiction is supposed to prevent the future. Um, think about that. *pretends to know what he's talking about*

I myself is like some sort of catgirl-fanatic-cultist. (read: I'm pro-catgirls.)

I'll read the species bio tomorrow, after my midterms.

Okay, so continuing the Altinian train of thought.

where was I... Oh, yeah...

Altinian aging...
Okay, so normal Altinians age rapidly at first. They are born speaking, they nurse for about 2 weeks, then take solid food. They walk at arour 20 days (they can swim at birth). All Altinians are telepathis, but the range is limited to one person at a time. The other person has to be within five feet of the Altinian, and even then the Altinian can only "hear" what the person is currently thinking about. Research is being done to heighten this. Altinian children enter school around 4 months of age, they are VERY attentive and intelligent. Schoolling is year-round and a child has a mandatory four year term. After that, if the child wishes to specialize (98% choose to do so) they can take extra courses. Some courses are required for government service. Altinians begin physically maturing around 6-8 years of age, teaching physical and sexual maturity at 10-12 years of age. At 12 years, the being is fully grown and is legally a "limited" adult. This means they can marry, vote, and apprentice with a government official. Most Altinians marry at 12 years of age, some wait until 14. It is socially expected, not required, to be married with at least one child by the time an Altinian reaches 15 years of age. However, at 14, an Altinian can Intern with higher government officials like congressor or senators. At 16 they can run for minor offices, and when an Altinian reaches 20 years he or she can run for any government position except Emperor. They age very slowly after the 18th birthday.

At 18 something happens to All Altinians. They loose their eysight for a week. Now I don't mean they are just temporarily blind. I mean the eyes deteriorate and the being is left with empty eye sockets while his new eyes grow. This time is called 'The week of endless night', and happens, as I said at 18 years of age. It then occurs every 10 years until the Altinian has reached his or her 200th year.

Bedtime. catch you tomorrow.
