A data window appeared beside Vlad'mir with the information he'd requested.

As the information continued to scroll across Vlad'imirs screen, Sa'kira glanced over at Ay'indri. "There's a metallic object near the 2nd planet, see if you can grab any information on it please."

Glancing back at the screen, Sa'kira pondered why the officer was relunctant to say anything about this mission or what ship was being used..

Bridge

Vladi'mir reads the information and smiles "Mah it seems they were here to hunt terrorists, they were lead by Kui'kane sa'ahane, guessing that is the missing person" he sighs "need the shipmaster to request more information though"

Engineering

Ye'gor began going over the gauges near the valves to see if any were showing any obvious signs of low coolant flow. The screens displayed numbers within the correct range of numbers for what he recalled, however he thought back on what he had said earlier. The young engineer grabbed a hold of a valve and tested it to see if it could be opened up a little more.

It took a little to break the torque resistance, but the valve did move like it had more to go. The gauge responded in kind; though he did not go until he hit the edge, instead going for a safe higher pressure before moving on to the next. Once he had opened all the valves up more, the young Laibe made his way back to the status screens to see if a difference had been made.

Once back at the screen in the main area, the kit checked the temperature and adjusted his expectations compared to time. It seemed that the engines cooled a little, but the extra coolant started bringing it down closer to the rate Ye'gor would expect normally. Seeing that, he made a mental note to go over the new specs again to ensure the system was set correctly.

He then looked to the Chief Engineer and addressed her, "X'Muyeia, the valves were technically fine, but a little extra turn seems to have helped. I have a feeling someone updated the book without telling me."

Sa'kira nods and thinks on the name. "Kui'kane Sa'ahane..... no rank listed?" she asked but didn't bring the information up. It was at this point that the officer on the viewscreen looked up, as if she had heard the name. "I guess you are authorized to know then," she said and began a transfer of information between her scout and the Gam'trosha. "I'm sending you all of the information in regards to the missing ship and where it was last reported at along with the mission briefing."

Or'ion Classified Report.nva

After the transfer was completed, the system auto-opened the mission report file and displayed it in front of Vladi'mir and Def'leor.

A security tag accompanied the report, showing that it was a verified mission statement from the Youth Corp.

"Bard'iel," said Sa'kira as she turned toward the advisor. "I don't think we'll have need of your services at the moment, you are free to leave the bridge at anytime to take care of any pressing matters or to just rest up a bit."

Bard'iel

With a nod she headed out the door catching her brother's eye and winking. Once the door closed behind her she giggled. He would be steaming about that for the next week. With a bounce in her step the counselor made her way down to her make-shift office.

The deck crew did a wonderful job at making sure it was out of the way and set up. A desk and chair was in the front just behind a curtain. While a couch and arm chair was set up beyond the desk behind yet another divider. the whole place was light up with a strand of work lamps strung along the walls just at roof hight. Someone even laid out a moving blanket, for protecting fragiles, on the floor with two empty crates for a coffee table. she own the Deck crew something very nice.

Sitting down in her desk she found her boxes of files and book sitting behind it. Though she thought she would have kept them in her cabin this was a good place. The container doors could be sealed and locked.

With a grin she pulled out her communicator and sent out a crew wide e-message.

Code:
HIHI ;) <3

My office is now open down in the Cargo bay please come by at your earliest
conveniences. I would like to interview each and every one of you.

Please don't worry this is a friendly visit and will be nothing more then a
chat to see who you are and allow you to meet me.

Thanks <3
Bard'iel Tar'Vas

With The message sent she went about working on putting her books on a little shelf in the back "room" and hanging her diplomas and certifications. Whistling she pulled out one last sign and went out and hung it up. retreating back inside she slid the first curtain open and started putting papers and files away into her desk.

Zu'rel Tar'Vas

Her was livid, his own sister winking at him... He should have demanded her to be place in her quarters for that crap. His anger washed off of him as he went to work authenticating the messages and the orders they were receiving from the Youth crafts. Everything was just not jiving right since that interrogation he preformed. With the things he had learned everything was a perspective terrorist, or threat.

His fingers flew across his input board and his many monitors were flashing with data. His data code and clearance was still fairly low, he really did need to convince the Ship-mistress that he needed an higher one. More facts and figures popped up on his screens as he delved as deeply as he could and attempted to unlock the facts he needed.

Engineering

There was an audible sigh from Quin as she pushed away from her console and floated aimlessly in the air, her arms folded over her chest as she rotated to face Ye'gors direction. "Would've been nice if someone had told us, else we could've blown the reactor...." she grumbled and shook her head, then glanced away in thought before looking back toward Ye'gor. "Put a note in the ships engineering log please and send a copy to the bridge, I'm sure the Shipmistress won't like that someone made updates and neglected to inform us..."

Sensor Entrance

When Keri arrived at the ships forward sensor array, he'd notice that the sensor room door was sealed tight, a display pad on the side of it read 'sealed/locked', there was both a keypad and a card slider.

From the outside Keri could hear the loud humming of the sensor array's various primary and support systems.

Def'leor read the information pulled up by the queries. 'Drisa' she thought to herself. 'so much for a nice simple exploration mission. Not only are we not the first to explore this systems, there are enemies here. Drisa.'

She turned around got out of her seat and walked over to Sa'kira. "Ship Mistress, in light of the new information I advise that we put the entire squadron on alert. Based on the data, we know that here is a hostile presence in this system. Our mission has changed from exploration to one of recon, assessment and if necessary threat neutralization.

That the Darkness Endless went dark after only being in systems for an hour says, that it was in all likelihood attacked without warning. Putting the squadron on alert shields up and weapons charged, will ensure that we are not similarly overwhelmed."

Bridge

Sa'kira smiled as she lowered her head in thought. "Actually our mission hasn't changed," she said and took a few steps forward past Def'leor and stared at the view screen, which still had the Youth Corps officer on it. "We have five ships in this squadron along with two supply vessels, we can task three of those ships and one supply ship to search out for the missing officer, our ship and one other along with the last supply ship can continue on with our original mission."

She looked away from the view-screen and at Def'leor. "Unforeseen developments tend to happen in our line of work, if we had been alone then I'd agree that our main mission had changed, but we are not alone; so lets use the assets we have and accomplish two missions at once," she then looked back at the screen. "C'bar, any information on that metallic object that we detected?" she asked, looking over at Vlad'imir for a moment and then back at Def'leor. "Pick three ships from the squadron, and task them with the search and rescue, order those ships to use their onboard probes to widen their search area."

Engineering

"Right away," Ye'gor nodded before noticing his communicator going off. He picked it up and checked the sent message, wondering whom would have the time and the desire to at that point in time. The young Laibe looked at the name and his ears quirked towards the the small device.

The engineer noted the name "Tar'vas" and wondered why they would be contacting him until the Or'ion Agent of the same family name came to mind. His fur raised a little at the thought, as well as his recollection of another whom he had brief dealings with. Ye'gor's tail bloomed as he shakily accessed the message to check its contents, wondering what trouble he had managed to get himself into this time.

The kit was rather taken back by the sickeningly sweet address as it juxtaposed the feeling in his gut. There was no way either Agent would address anyone that way from his standpoint, however when he happened upon the word "interview" he felt his insides knot up again at the idea. Finding a subsequent word, "friendly", the young C'Baruce truly began questioning the dubious nature of the request - or was it a veiled order.

Ye'gor ran it all through his mind a few times before realizing that he still had the engineering log entry to write up and a report for the bridge. Bringing his full mind back to the present and closing the message, the young Laibe opened up a console and began composing:

Code:
Engineering Log

FTL drive core found abnormally hot after returning to normal space.
Temperatures were within tolerance, however much higher than they should have
been for the distance travelled despite inspections indicating functioning
and cooling in order. Follow-up inspection found that coolant valves were
set at standard prescribed levels; however increasing throughput to a point
still within tolerance brought temperature changes closer to the expected
rates.

This possibly suggests that with the upgrades, the new requirements may not
have been communicated. Will need to investigate where the suspected
disconnect may have occurred.

C'Baruce Tos'cana Ye'gor
Systems Engineer

He then checked the report over, making sure he did not miss anything before applying it to the log and sending a copy up to the bridge.

All that could be seen of the ships resident weapons engineer was a pair of legs sticking out from underneath he chassis of a rather heavy looking tank. Having seen the quality, or lack thereof of the station that had hosted the ships repairs Lato had figured that it might be a good idea to do a full maintenance workover of all of the ships vehicle and weapons complement. And so it was that he had ended up neck deep in lubricant after he found a small puddle leaking from beneath one of the "new" light tanks. Feh the thing was probably past its decommissioning age with all the grime and dirt inside it.

The ping of a message arriving at his terminal distracted him for a moment leading to a fresh gush of the slippery clear liquid from the open hatch above him smothering his face and upper torso.

"Son of a... HACHOOO!!!" he sneezed, some of that had gone up his nose and he was sure some had leaked into his ears. Needless to say the pipeline he was working on was a complete bust. Using a small knife to remove all traces of the bad fluid pipe Lato fastened a new one in place and released the isolation valve.

Problem fixed he turned his head to the side slightly disgusted at his current state. bringing up his terminal he checked the message.

'Blegh... Im not going looking like this.' he thought as he rolled himself out from under the vehicle. He cleaned himself off with a towel as best he could despite the horrible feeling in his fur. He only had a couple more of them to look over before he was done. It would take maybe an hour or so at the most. The councillor could wait that long. With a sigh the Laibe got back to work.

Vladi'mir starts typing away trying to get any information on the thing orbiting the planet, then gets the message from
Bard'iel Tar'Vas but ignored it until he found out what that object was. As he typed he smile "come on show me what that thing is" he begged to the console.

He looks at the screen a bit confused, by the information giving it was either a satellite or a ship, he decides to tell them what he found out about the metal structure "mah it seems we have something that's either a satellite or a ship, by first glance and the information we have been given i think it is for the terrorists".

"As you wish Ship Mistress." Def'leor said and then walked back to her station. She strongly disagreed with Sa'kira's view on the situation. She lacked the rank or authority to challenge the decision. So she would do all she could within the constraints she worked under. She first made a personal log entry attaching the information they acquired, and then appended to it her discussion with Sa'kira. If the situation went badly she was not going to be accused of failing to do her duty.

Next she contacted the squadron. She sent a general message to all vessels in their group, and the ones enroute. Advising them to assume a defensive posture while performing their duties. She selected three of the squadron ships and relayed Sa'kira's other orders regarding them.

Engineering

Ye'gor checked the message he received again, then heaved a heavy sigh. He wondered if he ought to try getting the interview over with before any further action began.

"X'Muyeia, if it is allowable, might I see about this interview thing before any action starts?" the young Laibe asked, "I can then cover for others when it is their turn."

Cargohold

All of the light tanks there looked to have seen better days, a fresh coat of paint and the replacement of armor panels couldn't hide the dents, scraps, and bumps that were present on all of them. It also couldn't hide the obvious smell coming from one of the tanks that was an obvious sign of a burnt out anti-gravity unit...

Bridge

"Perhaps," Sa'kira rubbed her chin in response to Vlad'imirs remark. "But let's not rush to conclusions just yet, for all we know this metallic object could be a derelict of some sort, an old ancient ship or station or perhaps something belonging to another race.. if any other races actually exist out here," she turned her gaze toward the viewscreen once more and watched as three of their ships along with a supply transport broke off to undertake their new orders.

She knew that this was a risky venture, it was never a good idea to break up a squadron of ships and undertake two separate missions, however this was a policy that was mainly reserved for their home system - outside of it they had more freedom to make choices for their squadron. "Lexicon, relay one more order, I want our squadron to avoid this object that the C'bar has found, we'll investigate that one ourselves," she said.

Engineering

Quin smiled and floated down to the bottom of the engineering deck. "Sure, things are quiet for the most part so it shouldn't be an issue," she floated over to another terminal and brought it online. "Just make sure to becareful, you are dealing with a civilian afterall."

Bridge

Def'leor sent a follow up flash message the the second group of ships. She passed on the Ship Mistress' orders that they were not to approach the unidentified object. That the Gam'trosha and its remaining escort would deal with it. She received an acknowledgement almost immediately.

"The second group has been so informed and acknowledged the new orders. We should also advise them to scan for any irregular energy emissions. The only way a ship could disappear without a message before the beacon, means they were most likely jammed. Our remaining vessels should do like wise it may help us to locate a hidden threat by collating the data from multiple angles." She replied.

Shar walked into the Cafeteria, she carried her sword and a whetstone. She liked to maintain her blades by herself. On her belt was also her regular combat knife and knife made to be attached to he Sharp pistol. And of course the Sharp itself in a holster. She left the maintenance of the pistol to the ships armoured for now, as she still did know its insides.

As she sat at one of the table with cup of coffe and small bowl of water, one of the U'renese kits by the heating raised its head, one of its ear hangin down, while other was prompted up, listening. Its fur was black, except for few white spots, most notable her throat and lower jaw being completly white. The tiny animal yawned and creeped out of the tangle of bodies. It yawned against and stretched itself on all four before patting down to where Shar sat.

The woman already presented whetstone on the table and all thee of her blades. As the U'renese hopped on the table, Shar smiled at it. "Hi there critter, missed me?" She said and reached in her pocket. When the hand came back up it left a treat on the table. The bunny looked it with calm expression and then walked to it. She then picked it up, sniffed it and started nibbling on it.

This little one kind of started hanging around Shar shortly after she found the critter's whole family. Unlike its brothers and sisters it was strangely calm and curious. It usually sat on Shar's shoulder and looked around. Shar called it critter and acted as if she did not care much, but in fact she was happy to find new little friend. The tiny animal was pretty much her only friend on the ship.

Shar smiled and scratched the tiny thing behind an ear. The U'renese gave out a short purr of approval, nibbling on the treat.

"Right," Ye'gor nodded, "I will be careful."

He then logged himself out of the screens and made his way out of Engineering.

Cargo Bay

The young Laibe made his way through the door into the cargo area and looked around to see if there were any obvious signs of this office. There were many paths between the crates and boxes of supplies, many piles of which he would have to contend with not seeing over for now; but one path seemed especially cleared. The engineer made his way down the path and noticed that a bunch of curtains had been hung up around an area - he wondered if this was it.

"Um, excuse me," the kit called out, "Is this the place for the interviews?"

Computer Room

After the alarm had summoned them to their stations, Erm'olai was left to monitor data traffic and make sure sensor data was recording properly. However, he didn't need to be at the station at all times. One thing about being a Software Engineer was that if the Computer was working properly, he could at least be used elsewhere.

Making sure his computer system was operating at peak efficiency, Erm'olai opened a communication link to the ship's Chief Engineer. "X'Muyeia, Ro'sario here. Computer Systems are reading operational. Is there anything around the ship that requires my skills?" he asked in a respectful tone.

"Yes Yes!!!" Bar'diel jumped up and rushed to the "door." "Come in, Uhh..." She looked around the cargo container, "Would you like to sit here at the desk or in the back, i have comfy furniture back there!" She asked, not really waiting for an answer she grabbed the kit by the arm and dragged him into the rear room.

"Sorry about the mess I'm just moving in. Here have a seat." She motioned to the couch and the chair, which ever Ye'gor would like. She started digging in a box and pulled out a tin of cookies. "I'm sorry i don't have tea or anything yet... It's my first day..." She apologized as she grabbed her clipboard and pen.

Ye'gor jerked back a bit, his ears popping up when the brown Daur made her appearance. He looked down at her, not quite sure what to make of her question, though he had little time to consider it. The young Laibe's ears and fur shot up from the physical contact made, his tail blooming into a beautiful orange flower as he was dragged into the back room.

The engineer's breath was rapid and his eyes bounced around the room as thoughts of interview possibly meaning interrogation went through his mind. The Ini'she was cute - for a Daur - but the possibility of that being disarming made him even more wary.

"What would be better?" he half squeaked.
