Yoroko got the message from Kai, "Remove me from the excercise." she told her AIES as she dropped the dummy rounds from her LASR and SLAG. As soon as her weapons were "live" Yoroko slammed on her thrusters and flew out over the trees toward Ft.Ready. "Kai," Yoroko responded over the radio "link your AIES up with ours, or at least mine."

A dark sadistic smile crossed Devonus's face beneath his armor when he heard the news... Training excersizes were all well and good, but Devonus had seen death to many time to actually feels anything resembling combat during the training session.... this was more his style.

He had already been half way towards the hanger, having removed himself from the combat zone soon after dying in order to catch up with kai and go for drinks, but he lost his taste for alcohol.... now he thirsted for blood.

On my way Kai, fall back to a safe distance but try to maintain visual, the last thing we need is for the few of us in armors to lose track of a mishu on a training base...

His telepathic message even echoed of the dark blood lust welling within Devonus, now they would see why in Neplisia his street name had been DarkHeart... Now they would see that he'd been playing around during the training excersize, and that he wasn't as stupid as he had acted.... but for one fleeting second, he worried about what the other would think seeing him in this state, but as he came withing range of where his AIES said Kai was, and he switched on his active camo, the chaotic calm took over his being, and his last doubts disappeared into the void within his heart.

He drew his blade, switched on the poison reservoir, and looked for the tentacled beast that would taste his hellish fury.

"A MISHHU? You can't be serious!" Kiyoshi sent to Kai. After realizing the urgency of the situation, Kiyoshi delivered a command to all AIES to halt the game. "Yasuo and I will head back to the base and get back-up. Everyone else try and hold them off." He let off a sigh. "I know you can do it," he added. With that, the two armors sped off in the direction of the main fort.

With little opposition as of yet, Kai, Noboru, Yoroko, and Devonus regrouped outside of the Power Armor bay. Apart from Kiyoshi and Yasuo, the others had not reached the bay yet. Their AIES did not report them being attacked, but what was holding them up was unknown.

All they knew about the enemy was there was at least one. They could easily be cloaking like them, or this one could be a scout. Regardless, the Mishhu was not oblivious to the approach of all of the other armors and slowly floated over. The time for formulating a plan was diminishing.

The neko swore quietly to herself at the news of a Mishu. She had heard a lot about them, but never really SEEN one up close and personal really... But the things she had heard scared her enough.

With the training over, her armor once more felt as normal to move in as it should, and Yuril quickly begin to head to regroup with her team.

"Guys, I think the misshu is on to us." Yoroko said as she saw the misshu drifting over to their location. As Yoroko watched the misshu approach her AIES suggested she re-activate her active camo. After activating her camo Yoroko started to circle the misshu keeping the same distance as the rest of the group. "Can we take it?" Yoroko sent over encrypted telepathy as she circled.

'Probably not. But I suppose it won't hurt too badly to try? 'Sides, Yuril is the only Neko, so the rest of us will just get killed. Oh joy. Noboru's pathetic attempt at humor only garnered silence.

Flank it, and put a pincer on it. We'll pop it like a squid-zit.

Though the mishhu too was cloaked, hiding it visually from the trainees, The AIES sensors still detected the moving object that could only be the Mishhu. "How many of you actually managed to switch to live rounds? Those of you that did, triangulate on that blip on our sensors, and make sure no one is pointing at someone else. when we're ready, i'll call out to start firing" Kai said, backing away from the advancing Mishhu. Obviously it had to know it could not win, but that only made it more dangerous, especially to recruits with little to no experience.

I didn't grab many live rounds, and just incase there more i'll save my ammo and watch the area...Mishu arn't stupid, they travel in groups unless this one's a stray.

There could be more, so make you'r shots count, and when he's weak enough i can finish him with my blade... unless of course you's are willing to let me try and take him single handed with my sword, though i'm not even sure if i could handle a giant squid.

He knew that most of them would not want him going toe to toe with a Mishu though he wanted to try it, but he also knew it was stupid, so he would have to do it smart. He scanned the area where the mishu was suppose to be, made a mental note of it's location and then began to scan the surrounding area.

Also i reccomend you's send you'r drones out in a perimeter, to prevent any tentacled surprises.

"Devonus, you can take my LASR then, I brought a spare weapon, circle around the misshu and meet up with me, be sure to turn on your camo." Yoroko sent throught the AIES to so her team could hear. After Yoroko transmitted her message she started to circle around to meet up with Devonus, her weapon trained on the misshu the whole time.

With Yuril's arrival, their force now reached 5 armors, including Devonus, Kai, Yoroko, Yuril, and Noboru. The Mishhu slowly approached the group of recruits. The air around the the power bay shimmered when the light hit the cloaked armors. Before the tentacled creature rounded the corner, a small grunt could be heard from the armor bay. The Mishhu quickly turned and saw that the neko had survived and crawled into a spare Daisy.

Now there was a threat to the creature. It floated cautiously towards the neko in the armor, who was still too injured to move with enough speed to win. "En..emy...power bay..." the team heard over the radio. The neko attempted to hold the LASR up to the Mishhu, who swatted it out of her hands.

Just then, two more creatures appeared to phase into existence next to the scout. It was hard to tell whether the Mishhu were going to stab the neko again, or mess with their prey. Either way, the enemy was distracted and there was no better opportunity.

Noboru scowled. The ingrained survivability of the Nekos pissed him off- they didn't just lay down and die like they should when mortally wounded- hell, they just crawled around.

"Shoot 'em before they get us!" He opened fire on the left-side Mishhu with the intent of viciously gutting the horrid, aberrant creature.

Yuril's grip on her weapon tightened as she replaced the practice grenades in her SLAG with a few of the actual ones she had the foresight to grab earlier. She wanted to just fire and save the neko, but given the proximity of the Mishu to her, she wasn't certain she could fire without injuring the neko further.

"Get them away from the neko, now!" hissed the silver-haired neko to her teammates, "I can't fire with them so close to her!"

"I don't give a fuck! Let the damn thing die like it should've!" Noboru sustained fire on his target, obviously pissed.

As soon as the two extra Mishhu phased into visibility, Kai Aimed for a headshot on the rightmost one. AIES, Don't fail me now he thought to the suit, half a moment before he pulled the trigger and sent the LASR shots straight towards the Mishhu's head.

Krasus had slipped back into his armor, loading a real clip into his LASR.
I'm coming! Whats happening?! I'm heading for the Power Bay.

Krasus activated his camo and started moving forward... If he ran, he might be discovered by any Misshu wandering around the hill... If he was careful he could join the rest of the group... But he might miss any action that was happening...
Krasus decided it was time to play safe.

Yoroko fired at the back of misshu that had then neko, hoping to draw its ire As she did so she sent a message to Devonus while moveing back as fast as possible while still firing, "Nevermind, guess you can't get the LASR yet" then to the rest of the group "Save the neko, lets draw their attention and then focus on them one at a time."

Kumiko finally got there, just in time to see what was going on. Quickly, she unloaded her weapon, and grabbed live rounds. She then boosted a bit back from the fight, and dropped to a knee, and began lining up a shot.

Devonus was closest to Noburo and was slightly pissed at his reckless firing upon the enemy, even though a stray shot could easily kill the Neko. that combine with his blood lust already made him want to beat the crap out of him.

But hopefully Noburo was smart enough not to fire on me when i did what i was about to do. He drew his blade back locked onto the mishu, and aimed at what he thought was it's vital region.

Noburo you shoot me you'r going to have a first hand presentation of what the hell i can do...

And with that he flew forward, the blade still posed for a killing thrust, he drove his blade into the back of the one closest to the Neko, hoping to at least get it's attention away from the wounded Neko.

You just try, Captain Suicide. Noboru's sarcastic reply came off laced with enough abrasive that if it was corporeal his words could be used as sandpapaer. He continued to pound the Misshu with a hail of supressive fire, now relatively sloppy and reckless in his shooting, aiming and re-choosing targets.

Krasus came up to the Power Bay, looking at the Melee unfolding before him.
He slowly sang an old hunters song, and lined up a shot upon one of the Misshu.
I'm in the treeline, try not to send them toward me, or we will have problems.
He pulled the trigger, breathing out as he did so.
