OOC Conference Discussion

Soresu said:
Meant Gally, that guy ain't posted for me in four days.

Thank you for reminding me; the last few days have been a roller coaster, for me.

Post coming sometime later today (Within the next 12-20 hours).

shiiiiiiiit.

That was supposed to be one of those 'said quietly to the princess' lines. I guess Wazu was a little louder than he thought he was. That is what I get for rushing through a post.

That's enough of that.

Wes, the YSA has the authority to do what they just did. They're your creation, you gave them that power. What's done is done.

Jimmy and Gallant, I thank you for participating. Your characters can exit the station peacefully now, without any need for any standoffs or bloodshed.

Zack, you can start a new thread either from a holding cell or from the quarantined Gartagen ship, whichever you prefer. I might edit the title so it's uniform, but otherwise you're OK to do that. Wazu won't have his pad or his cane in the holding cell, but he still can send messages to the Princess through a secure volumetric panel.

Since there was no lawful arrest warrant, it isn't evading lawful arrest.

As such there is no reason for the Samurai to get involved, no reason for resisting arrest charges, and no reason to put the ship under quarantine either (or any reason to think the ship should be placed under quarantine since they think they have Wazu as is).

Off-topic, but I just read the first couple of pages of the Trade thread. It occurs to me that the Gamjie Corporate Zone was never brought up, which is OOCly/ICly alright seeing as how new it is, but it could function as a center of trade of sorts.

Just throwing that out there.

OOC: SAINT agents will stop the IPG forces if they attempt to bring Wazu anywhere, preventing them from leaving with him. I'm telling you now so you don't auto an uneventful trip through the station.

Wes, we handled it. You need to start trusting us instead of protecting some supposed friend of yours.

Seriously. This ICly has been coming. You made a lot of promises to us. It's time to start making good on them and stop turning your back on your staff and GMs.

Not to mention SAINT is Nash's responsibility, just as civilian Yamatai is mine.

Here's what needs to happen: Wazu gets banned from the conference for causing all this drama and goes back to the Gartagens where he can make ships for them our whatever. Then the conference continues as planned.

Wes, we've balanced out the ICly ramifications with what happens to this character, as well as the OOC implications. We're not taking away RP, we're not booting Zack out of SARP or trying to screw him over.

This is as balanced as it gets. Wazu, as a character, is arrogant, overbearing and thought he could escape one of the most powerful nations in the galaxy. He is wrong. That, ICly, needs to be shown, just as much as you'd like to show that Yui/you can protect anyone.

We're trying to get on with this for the conference. You're stalling us. Please stop.

We're doing this, Wes. And you need to trust your people to handle it. That's what it means to be a leader, and a good roleplayer, and I know you can be both of those right here, right now.

Please, please just escort him to a docked SAINT ship which will quietly bring him home to Gartaga. Then hopefully there'll be no more conference distractions.

No, Wes. This is happening, and you need to let it happen. Trust us, your staff, your GMs and your players. This is an RP opportunity that needs to come to fruition. I know you respect your staff enough to let this happen.
