RP: Pisces Episode 01 - 'Under A Blind God'

Before continuing with Marina, Irim sent a quick message to Fifth Expeditionary's Taisho. "You and your fleet can get out of my sight."

Mayumi regarded Caine with a nod, but Irim interrupted her. The tone of the other Taisho made her want to get out of there. The channel was closed, as she turned and aid to her tactical officer. "Get the Seventeenth in. We have over stayed our welcome.â€

Taii Nakasato regard the Seijin no Umi's latest orders with a sigh of relief. With the welcome news she broke the radio silence that the Kasairyuu Wing had been under.

"All squadrons regroup on your leads. Leaders bring everyone in, we're leaving this sector." The NH-29 ordered. She and her personal group made an abrupt turn and returned to their designated hanger.

As she left the space behind for the safety of the Chiharu's hanger, the Taii looked back at the Pisces station. I'll stand against a Mishu battlefleet anytime. But those 1st fleeters give me a scare every time I see 'em.

"17th is aboard." Nakasato announced to the bridge as she watched the last of here wing land.

Mayumi ordered, Helm, engage fold drives.

The Seijin no Umi and her escorts left just as they came, disappearing into hyperspace to make the short trip back to the Staging area.

Another reason, another promise broken; Yet it is us who pay in blood.

"...I understand." Much as Marina objected to the order, she couldn't exactly object to something that came to her directly from the Taisho herself. "I will have someone posted at all times..."

As Marina heard Irim's comminque to the 5th, Marina suddenly turned serious. "Now it's your turn."

And of course, as is typical for children on starships, Yuichi was completely ignored...not to mention looking at two stark-naked women.

Meanwhile, Dastravi, over the comm, heard that things were not exploding, and thus the situation was averted. With a sigh of relief, he picked up his communicator again. "Hey Irim, say hi to your sister for me, all right?"

(I thought Irim dressed in the restroom....)

Yuichi sobbed loudly, then very unceremoniously plopped in a chair and began to bawl his eyes out...

"We're gonna die aren't we? Killed by Daddy's own people! *sob*...WAHHHH!!!!!"

The kid had some powerful lungs...

Yaichiro's Engineering Team was soon on site rapidly trying to gauge the pressure in the rest of the fortress, trying to confugure protocols and verifying nominal pressure in the other areas...their control access was restricted, indicating that the security wasn't entirely compromized.

Others, Yaichiro and the quicker-to-respond medical teams included, were attempting to stabilize the wounded and replace the damaged HSCS conduit and wall paneling. Everyone had put on haz-mat suits, and was doing everything they could to neutralize any remaining HSCS-2 puddles. HSCS-2 contaminated clothing was removed, people were washed in chemical showers and bandaged, and then they were sent to the medbay.

Irim nodded. "Good luck. If you need help, ask."

She then left Marina to once again try and solve the case.

In minutes, Irim and her fleet were headed back to the war front.

Terry emerged into the room soon after Irim left, looking rather bedraggled and clutching a small (and yet surprisingly painful) HSCS-2 burn on his left arm. He bowed politely to the captain, "Forgive me for not being at your side sooner Arisa-Taisa, but I was delayed attempting to reroute the hemosynthetic system away from some of the civilian sections.â€

Yuichi had downgraded to sobbing after Irim left, slowly recovering when the station did not blow up beneath his feet.

"...Ehhh?! What's that on your arm, Mister Shosa?"

Meanwhile, Yaichiro was again trying to contact all Pisces officers.

"The murderer has just become a terrorist. The HSCS-2 situation is currently under control. As my earlier efforts at communication with my superiors have failed, I am trying again. The communicators of Caine-Shoi and Cammellia-Chui are not in the vicinity of Pisces. I request that all officers check in if you are able. Surely I'm not the last officer left on this station."

Fifth Expeditionary Fleet commanders onboard Pisces were quite pleased with having communications restored. Many of them overjoyed with the news that the upper echelons of the fleet for the most part had made it, and that Taisho Koyanagi was in the field and putting things back together.

The mood would change very quickly among the soldiers; even the civilians from Taiie seemed pleased that communications had been restored. Several of the higher ranking officers got word that the ‘twelve' were meeting-they knew their stay on Pisces was not going to be a long one.

News of the HSCS2 breach had not yet reached them, allowing this moment of bliss.

"...so the hemosynth conduits were sabotaged," Marina responded to Terry. She was still naked, but had little time to be embarassed - such an action was an act of treason, punishable by torture until death. Silently, she wondered how many had died..."Irim has left, and so has the fleet. I am going to have a proper investiagtive unit mobilized here before any more casualties are sustained. We can't be silent any longer."

The Mindy she dismounted beeped annoyingly with an incoming transmission; she picked it up and listened in.

Yaichiro continued his communication.

"...Again, I request that all remaining officers make themselves known. Cammellia-Chui and Caine-Shoi's communicators are not listed as in the station's vicinity, and I wish to know just who we've lost. The Murderer has become a terrorist, and such measures should be taken. Also HSCS-2 requires replenishment. We've only lost 12%, but the strain on the supply makes that a critical loss. I also require the location of the Chief...I have important business with her once this has been brought under control."

The medic heard Chief's comm beeping, and answered it in her stead. "I'm sorry but the Taii can't answer the comm right now, she's been sedated and we're administering treatment for the injuries she sustained from the stun blast."

Yaichiro pondered for a moment.

"Doctor, the Taii is to be restrained at all times, and her command privileges revoked. She is officially under my custody by the direct orders of Irim-Taisho-Sama on the charge of mutiny against a superior officer without charge and ordering a subordinate to incapacitate a superior officer without charge...you can run any medical tests you want and use anything you find to try to get my orders to arrest her revoked. I don't WANT to have to send her to a court martial, but I can only buy you until she recovers, probably..."

"With respect, sir," the medic replied, "I cannot allow that. Until there is a replacement executive officer assigned to the station I must allow her to roam free. You do, however, have the option of assigning an escort to prevent her from doing anything rash or mutinous.

"I would also like to respectfully suggest that a condition not present in her admittance to the armed forces is in part responsible for her behavior. The readings I took show that prior to the incident she had been enduring an unusual amount of stress that exacerbated the symptoms of her illness."

"Understood. I will assign an escort for her...but nothing can stop her eventual arrest, save an order from the Taisho who gave me the order, the Imperial Government, and perhaps the majority of the other Taishos in the Army...she WILL be arrested, but I wish you you to continue to collect data. Kage-Juni out."

He quickly turned on the communicator, to speak to the Taisa.

"Taisa, I request that you assign someone else the task of XO...Nozomi-Taii is not fit for duty, and even when she recovers, I plan to arrest her by the direct order of Irim-Taisho-sama. Terry-Shosa is currently the only remaining officer of sufficient rank to possess that designation."

As he sent this communication, he telepathicly contacted Kokoro-Heisho.

Kokoro-Heisho, I believe you've had combat and security training. I have an important job for you...[/i]

Marina was somewhat busy finding a spare uniform and dressing; her Taisa pin restored to its proper place and her body now modest, she returned to her Mindy armor and tapped into the comm.

"...I see. I will authorize it. This is only a temporary measure, however, as I expect she had a very good reason for what she did. As for Sarri-chui and Ionoche-shoi, I have a feeling I know who took them. Tap me into the 5th Fleet's communication lines at the earliest possible opportunity. Arisa-taisa out."

With a smile, Marina turned to Terry. "Though it is tragic...this day may have hope to be good in the end after all. You are now ordered to the position of executive officer, effective immediately."

(Move this as necessary)

It took a bit of time for Yaichiro to get the spare time needed to try and access the 5th XF's communication lines via PANTHEON, and patch them though to Marina...

"Here's hoping that they haven't locked out their communications...This is Pisces Station calling the 5th Expeditionary Force. Taisa Arisa Marina has requested communication."

Meanwhile, Kokoro-Heisho had been sent up to the medbay, to keep an eye on the Chief. The red-haired neko watched the Chief with rust-colored eyes, a bit sympathetic...

Still patched into Marina's personal comm unit (even though she had supposedly deleted the appropriate program), Nozomi heard Marina's orders regarding her status.

Chief wasn't happy at her apparent downgrade. Her clipboard was still hers, still essential to her life; she was currently using it to make a (regretabbly covilian) comm transmission in the direction of the doomed desert world. Since she, as the former XO, still had a lot of things to arrange, she also spent the time to update her replacement on what was expected, what had arrived early and was awaiting to be unloaded, and what was late and may need to be acquired from a different source.

She still had her responsibilities, after all, even if she was to be stripped of her rank and sent to some penal colony on a frozen iceball in some system on the fringes of the galaxy; that didn't matter to her. Finishing what she started did.
