Multiple factors were beginning to create a very desperate situation among the rebels; already they were being systematically slaughtered or captured by the loyal personnel onboard the vessels in the disabled fleet. Already most had managed to get their computer's operating in ACS mode with at least most capabilities back at the disposal of the commanders.

Lack of communication was also adding to the frustration of what before seemed to be a formable force. The Ixa had not transmitted commands to any of the remaining rebels which were now down in the two hundred range spread out over the fleet. The Ixa had its hands full and Yoshike's incompetence as a commanding officer was becoming brilliantly apparent as she sat staring at the tactical hologram at the front of the bridge.

The Confidence had cleared nearly 2 of the 4 wings of Lamia's she had assigned to go after the fleet. The remaining wing was pushing their CDD drive to propel them at 500c as they desperately tried to escape the staging area of the awakening fleet. But found themselves in the presence of the reinforcements which had began launching armors of their own in response.

The six wings which had been clinging to the Ixa were quickly dropping like flies as the weapons of the Confidence discharged either at them or the Confidence. It was not long until only 4 of the wings of one thousand remained in formation. There was nearly constant radio chatter along the lines of "Lamia Wing to Ixa....What do you want us to do Yoshike?â€

Lucias fell back behind the barricade with the others and opened fire one the betrayers coming down the hallway. A few near misses, but luckily no hits and the battle was over. With systems restored and all well again, a smile crossed his face. With the majority of the ship cleared out and secure, it was more up to those classified to get systems running than the fighters in the hallway. Lucias took up position in the room and did what was asked of him to help get the ship underway.

Bishop had crawled out of the hemosynth conduits moments later, he had found what he had been looking for, a cheap and badly planned sabotoge attempt on the hemosynth conduits leding to the KAMI room, Bishop had managed to dispose of it in the HSCS-3 waste disposal tube, when he got up Bishop realized there had been a firefight but didn't get there in time. fortunatly Katsuko's loyalists had won this fight, Bishop took a sigh of relief and leaned back on a wall for a moment before regaining his composure and getting back to work, the ship wasn't under full control again and he still had a rotten feeling in his stomach

Bishop waited a few moments to make sure he wasn't needed for any clean up work before following Lucias, Jaq and Jatsu, he wasn't badly hurt but he realized that the burn on his shin had ripped open somewhere when he was running, not to mention a few more cuts on his arms but nothing as bad as Jastu, out of concern he bit his lip and walked quicker to check on him, catching up to the threes not to far down the corridor.
"How's he doing?" Bishop asked Jaq as he came up beside him not really able to tell from his position if Jatsu was able to answer.

Caine was leaning up against the wall in the same room the others were in and cursing himself. He'd managed to survive this lon gby staying with the main group and acting as a rear guard, being smart enough to keep behind cover and firing at insurgents whenever he could, even managing to hurt a few. But overall, he was berating himself for being useless. "Dammit, what a great fuckng first day. I'm so ashamed for freezing up at times, that's not how a soldier acts, I suppose the stress of this situation just got to me." he cursed himself. He'd apologize to whoever he needed to later, after he finished berating himself first.

Wrapping things up...

Katsuko had decided to send Akina to her quarters, having wanted to view the devastation on the Akuro's bridge alone. She hesitated a moment before the doors to the bridge, she thought to herself We barely met, we barely spoke, yet Akuro's crew paid with their lives to be loyal to the empire and their commanding officer. Yet what does that say? Why is it I feel their deaths are so empty...they did not have to die. A sigh left her lips as she ordered "Akuro, open the bridge...â€
