RP: LSDF Val'ta [In-Flight Social] - When you got Religion

LSDF Val'ta, Deck 3, Lounge

Presented with an unexpected querying sphere Mirage paused contemplating the object for a moment before shaking her head and waving off the small, curious construct. With the distraction dismissed Mirage turned her attention to the room spotting J'ann behind the bar presently occupied by a few Lorath and Nepleslians in casual uniform, the only one out of place being the man in his underwear.

Bemused that the Nepleslian was more interested in getting himself drunk rather than dressed watched for only a moment before drifting further into the room. Shortly after Ashlinn made her presence known with a cheerful greeting, one met with a warm smile and a bit of amusement as she moved on to request a drink and to poke at the out of place Nepleslian.

The response that followed cemented the man a as a true lady killer, his wit and tact being the apex of Nepleslian craft. As such Mirage found herself giving an attempt at a falsely serious warning, spoiled only by her inability to keep the amusement from her voice, "Watch out Ashlinn, with a charm like his if you fall into his arms you may end up too love struck to do anything but fawn over him."

Following the comment, or perhaps inspired by it Mirage found herself imagining the Neko draped over the man's lap dressed as a Nepleslian serving girl and mewling for his affections, while unlikely it did serve to amuse. Perhaps later she'd use the mental imagery to harass the smaller woman.

Ashlinn - Val'ta Deck 3, Lounge

Ran's response made her blink slowly as she found herself under 'The Guns' of the larger Nepleslian's 'Charming Wit' as he shamelessly hit on her. She actually hadn't expected that outcome when teasing him about losing his clothing. She was still forming a response when she caught Mirages amusement laced quip. That broke her so badly she finally started laughing, the Violet skinned Nekovalkyrja's face broke into a wide toothed grin as she held a hand over her mouth, "I should be careful, I'm sure, lest I fall hopelessly love struck and leave the service to the domesticated life of barefooted pregnancy." She couldn't hold a straight face if she were trying to paint it on a canvas as she fought to contain her mirth.

She'd barely succeeded as she finally responded back to Ran, "I'm Ashlinn, the large amused Fyunnen over there is Mirage. I'll pass on losing my clothes until after you've had a chance to get ot know the place better and clean the rust from your charm." Instead of bowing formally she'd offer out her hand instead for a shake.

"It's super delicious," Akemi answered quickly before pausing for a moment to think over his next move. They kind of hurt his brain with their responses but they were sort of cute too. "You say you don't need money but how about lodging, like a home? I could set you all up with a place to live together and an opportunity to meet lots of other Neko like you and even friendly Mishhu. All sorts of people work and eat at my restaurants. Plus you could learn lots of tasty recipes and eat exotic food every day. How about that?"

Ny'za was somewhat surprised to hear the robot whistling, but it was good to know the dog was so well trained it listened to such commands. She gave the dog a pat on the head and then began to give him his checkup, giving him the injections between steps so they weren't all at the same time. "Well you can probably get him into the public showers, that's where I take Rhiq with me...but we have a place reserved for the animals we're keeping. If you think he might be too big for the shower then that's a good place to have him washed.

Rhiq climbed on the dog's back while Ny'za worked, checking him over for any insects that looked tasty, but to no avail, so he soon made his way off the dog's back.

Ny'za was quick but thorough with the check up and vaccinations, petting the dog on the head once more when she was done. "There we go, he's all done."

LSDF Val’ta Deck 2 Starboard Science

As the Rhiq climbed on the dog's back, Knight looked at it. The robotic lenses whirred as the small animal studied and watched. The dog, just looked back to see what was up on his back. It waggled its tail, since his fur was scratched in search for bugs. There were no bugs though, just dirt.

"Well thank ma'am," Knight said and tipped his head. The Dog meanwhile doubled his effort of wag tail as he was patted on the head, turning to Ny'za and licked her hand.

"Well after I wash him, maybe it will be easier to actually see that he is a Shiba," Knight added with a robotic laughter.

LSDF Val'ta, Deck 3, Lounge

Aran'ya rolled up the distended pico-jelly that had given her a good starting point back into an unremarkable rounded green blob, as a part of her wanted to immediately retreat into the quiet, cozy lab to see where this new road would lead down. She sipped the drink J'Ann served a moment in thought, the spider-aspect L'manel watching the bunch of engineers not too far away going on about things.

After a moment of people watching and eavesdropping, Aran'ya finally arose on her long legs and started going over to the bar where J'Ann and the others were congregating.

Ran Rui in particular caught her eye, seeing him working his drunken, awkward charm on the Neko Ashlinn standing out. As the announcement came over the loudspeaker about their gas giant mining, the veteran Medic couldn't help but roll up to the side of the Nepleslian she had rescued before with an obvious downward glance at his choice of attire. This was accompanied by a bemused smirk. "Hmm, looks like the ship ain't the only thing that might do some impaling around here..."

LSDF Val'ta, Officers Cabins, Er'reds Room

Er'red had shed the skin tight suit and donned a much more comfortable set of soft kilt and blouse, breathing a sigh of relief as he finished fixing his hair and walked over to pick up a small water sprayer and going over to a small collection of moss-streaked rocks on a bench at the side of the room near his bed nest.

He knelt down to examine them intimately, eyes searching for any hints of imperfections, breath flowing smoothly over them making the moss flutter delicately. Carefully he raised the spray bottle, and with a careful, slow pull of the trigger ejected the spray of moisture onto the hard surfaces.

"Did you like that?" He asked quietly, tipping his head and going around the tray to a new angle.

A second careful spray, settling gently onto the rocks, being soaked up by the lichen and moss. Darkening the smooth surfaces with a dull sheen.

"Does it feel good?" He asked again, eyes wide in concern as he studied the fall of droplets.

Just as his finger was about to gently press down on the trigger again, he was started by the sudden crew announcement the played right in his room.

"Attention crew." It blared, destroying the moment and sending and errant squirt of water onto the precious rocks.

"Dammit." Er'red whispered angrily, hand quickly trying to fan away the mistaken squirt

"The Val'ta's just going to be skimming through the gas giant Tange VI for some resources on the way to our next destination."

"No, no. Daddy didn't mean it..." He pleaded quietly with the rocks, turning to glare accusingly over at the speaker from which and announcement came.

LSDF Val'ta, Deck 3, Lounge Room
The view through the window on the Val'ta saw a moon pass by on the way to the surface of the Gas Giant, Tange VI. The ship begun to slow down, flames licking at the edges of the window, the sounds of activating machinery on the hull ready to scoop and store whatever was within the gaseous atmosphere through the Structol hull as an over-shield shimmered over the ship. The intercom was still, so everything must've been going to plan. The multi-coloured, wavy surface of the planet was getting closer and closer as it begun to touch down, until the Val'ta submerged.

The sound of rushing gasses passing over the steeled Structol hull of the Val'ta created a roaring backdrop to the proceedings in the bar. Ursula couldn't help but watch the view while she was a secondary bartender on the bar. "Huh, don't see that every day..." she said. She had trained on deck for a bit to get familiar with the layout of the bar, but this wasn't part of the regimen. She gave J'ann a tap on the hip to get his attention.

Soon, Porrim could be seen walking in, a thin layer of sweat on her body, with wet spots on her uniform. Seemed she'd been jumping around with the rest of the soldiers, perhaps for demonstration's sake. She held up two fingers to the bar. Ursula understood the order and got two shots of something, one white, one black. "Thank you," Porrim said, sitting at the end of the bar, away from the others. She downed the two shots in quick succession, wings bristling a bit as they burnt down her throat.

She watched the scintillating colours of the view outside - blazing clouds of orange, banded with white, surging in from the point of the ship and washing over the windows, edge wedged deep in the clouds. The Structol hull was assimilating the gasses it passed through harmlessly while the shields shimmered and sparkled in pockets where heavier gasses had accumulated or been blown into the ship. It looked like the Val'ta would be here for a while, as the gathering process appeared to be halfway done.

"This ship is a surprise, in all aspects." She mumbled, leaning onto the bar as she faced the window. "Hell, even I'm finding out about it..." Even though she was supposed to have a good idea of everything the ship did, Porrim knew there were some surprises. That's why Lazarus was hanging around on the ship after all, even if they were keeping their hands off. It wasn't the first time they'd been surprised by their own creations (even if the LSDF did all the busywork in putting the ship together) after all. She looked over to Ran from across the bar, a wing briefly covering the view behind her before it folded against her back. "Say," she asked the Nepleslian, "are you some sort of inverse gym rat, or easy?" she grinned.

LSDF Val'ta, Deck 7, Brig
"Friendly Mishhu?" One of them said, poking her black-haired head and black ears into frame for Akemi. If he recalled correctly, she seemed to be the brains of the outfit, which wasn't saying much. "Hang on, working with other Yamataian Nekovalkyrja...? Forgive us but its a bit far fetched, because our masters did, well," Vee looked away, biting her lip, "you know that Yamatai-made Nekovalkyrja, ones like you, are uninterrupted from the mouth to the-"

"Can I see a menu?" Webber piped up, cutting her off. "I like food!"
"Food good, yes!" Emi said.

"Webby..." Vee mumbled, rolling her eyes in front of Akemi, ears flattened with annoyance for her sister's silliness. "Well, do you have a contract or some sort? I'll read it for them in ... easy to digest terms."

"Yes we do have food. May I see your hand?" J'ann asked the token Nepleslian of the room, offering his own in some cultural gesture that didn't make sense without proper context. But the look he gave was much like a devil waiting for a contract to be signed.

The New Tur'listan didn't make any acknowledgements to Mirage after she shrugged off the sphere, but directed part of his attention to the token Nekovalkryja.

"I would recommend the Ma'ii seasoned fish. You like fish, don't you?" he asked, not letting on whether that was simply an assumption of ignorance or pointed remark at her cat ears.

He flicked his glance to the celestial display going over across the viewports, but otherwise kept his focus on the foreigners. Thankfully Porrim was already attended to.

Ny'za giggled a little when the dog licked her hand and just pet him some more before letting him go. "Well it's a cute little dog and I hope he has a good time on the ship." She stands and smiles to Knight. "He's in good health too, nothing seems to be wrong. I'll start a medical record for him on the ship"

LSDF Val'ta, Deck 7, Brig

"From the mouth to the what?" Akemi asked with genuine curiosity before crossing his arms. "I try to hire Nekovalkyrja of all types, especially people like you. I also don't mind giving ex-cons a chance. As long as people are capable I don't care about their past. Just because you were made to fight me and I you doesn't mean that has to happen. If you don't believe me I'll have you know my company has an official deal to supply the Nepleslian military. As for menus, each place has its own specialties and what is served varies greatly from place to place based on whatever ingredients are cheapest. One thing I can tell you is we serve lots of different deep fried and raw fish and meat with plenty of vegetables. If it can be caught we'll serve it." Silently the Neko telepathically gave the former soldiers a sample list of foods and information on his establishment. "Whatever you're paid it'll definitely be very competitive since you girls would be a super novelty."

LSDF Val’ta Deck 2 Starboard Science

"Thank again ma'am," Knight said, picing up a dog and nodding back. The dog just looked at Ny'za and let out a playful bark again. Right after that the robot turned around and walked out of the lab, looking for a place to give his dog a wash.

LSDF Val'ta, Knight's room

The dog was drying in the corner doing the usual dog business. Knight meanwhile worked on hooking up all his equipment. The robot needed power and his pod needed power as well. Luckily the offered room had it. Witch the pod hooked in, the robot climbed inside to recharge. Now it was time to hit the net and see what he could find out. He also had to contact Nepleslia and give a report. So much work to be done. The robot sighed and accessed Val'ta network.

Virtual Space

A small white avatar, looking like a crusader knight appeared in Val'ta virtual space. It had a barrel helmet and sword at it s side. Of course it was just a visual avatar, the armour and sword being the robot's firewall. Knight looked around for the ships AI, it was time for a virtual handshake.

LSDF Val'ta, Deck 3, Bar
Porrim was waiting for a response, but decided to fill the gap. "Ohou, strong silent type. Not what I heard when you gave Akemi a clip on the ears," she said, before turning her attention to watching the scenery in the window, bored by present company.

LSDF Val'ta, Deck 7, Brig
The Nekovalkyrja behind the bars scrutinised the menus individually, eyes looking around before locking at each other, making consensus. "There's one roadblock to your employment offer though." Vee noted. "We're not going anywhere until we're formally deemed safe, and last I checked you don't have the authority to get us out of here..." She looked through the bars at Akemi's rank tag. "Private." The corners of her lips turned up in a grin, snickering at him.

"An only one person gots the authority to says that!" Emi chipped in.
"And they's gots a nice tush!" Webber pointed out.

There were a handful of people who could be described as having the authority to decide what to do with the Nekovalkyrja, and a pleasant backside. The checklist was admittedly narrow. It was either the Captain, or the person who discovered and negotiated with the former NMX Nekovalkyrja who incidentally had a nice backside, or maybe Aran'ya who provided the cats cursory medical examination - she definitely had a nice backside.

Definitely couldn't have been J'ann. Nice butt? Yes. Authority? Not when Porrim schooled him.

LSDF Val'ta, Virtual Space
Knight found himself manifesting in what initially appeared to be a perfectly flat space with no featues, with a grid on the white ground for every metre. Then, the world begun to appear. The floor started to deform under the avatar's feet, followed by grass spreading around, then other textures appearing. Objects begun to load in, including trees, a pleasant blue sky, a shining sun, and a white house of modern construction, from materials similar to the one Knight had seen on the walls of the Val'ta.

The house looked as though it was assembled from prefabricated pieces, enough to form what looked like a comfortable two bedroom house with ample natural light. There didn't seem to be any form of transportation other than a bicycle resting on the front porch with a verandah keeping it out of the sunlight. The grass had been trimmed around the house to perfection, and a single door with a flyscreen over it was immediately obvious to Knight.

As Knight looked around the house, he couldn't see any obvious roads or visible infrastructure, just the sound of the gentle breeze. To the north on his left, the terrain begun to rise into hills, then rocky looking mountains. To the south, Knight could see the grass thinning out and transforming into a sandy beach, crystal clear water lapping gently. Looking out, he noticed a slight oddity with the horizon, the ocean appeared to be curving downwards at the edges, but he couldn't figure out why at this distance.

Behind Knight and to the west, he could see a white portal behind him, signalling the exit from this virtual area and further behind that was a light forest of trees resembling spruce, alder, and birch. To east behind the house, Knight saw more gently rolling plains which appeared to go missing after some length.

All in all, this was a very relaxing place to be. Hopefully the ARIA who lived here was just as relaxing to be around too.

LSDF Val'ta, Deck 7, Brig

Akemi's nose shot up as he briefly turned his head to the side and huffed indignantly. "I'll have you know I was a much higher rank when I was a Yamataian soldier." The Neko planted his hands on his hips. "I left when I found out I'd have trouble running my company as I saw fit. They weren't going to let me serve meat of sentient species even if it was cloned in a vat. Can you believe that? At least Nepleslia will let me serve it discretely in its space. So, I take it you're all on board if I get approval given you said that was the one hitch?" By this point his hands crossed his chest.

Eager to get things moving Akemi telepathically sent Porrim a short message to her communicator containing the same information he'd given the prisoners. Surely she could see the appeal of finding them a place in an exotic brothel restaurant hybrid. "Hey, can I take the detainees off your hands and employ them in Nepleslian space? I run a business that would be perfect for them."

"I should be careful, I'm sure, lest I fall hopelessly love struck and leave the service to the domesticated life of barefooted pregnancy."

Ran lowered his two guns and drank rather deeply from his inexplicable glass of alcohol, nearly getting a nosebleed as he struggled to suppress an extremely strong desire to somehow imply that - in such a situation - there was an extremely good chance that he would not be around. However the former Corporal had an extremely large portfolio of incidents that arose from his inability to just shut up and not be his regular self. So he just shut up...

"I'm Ashlinn, the large amused Fyunnen over there is Mirage. I'll pass on losing my clothes until after you've had a chance to get to know the place better and clean the rust from your charm."

...For a bit. "I hope you're ready for some polishing action, baby." Ran reached out to Ashlinn and met her handshake. "Hope you got the arm strength for that, girlie." Ran said with a wink, painfully unable to be a decent and well-functioning individual. Ran took another sip and reached into a rolled sleeve to produce a pack of cigarettes. "Nice. You got some soft hands."

Ran Rui then felt the sudden presence of yet another thirsty individual joining what was becoming a fantasy harem for the Nepleslian. Already starved of contact from being forced to sit out his time inside of a bathroom prison, the Nepleslian was simply unable and more than likely consciously unwilling to hide his excitement at the sudden returns he was benefiting from.

Aran'ya said:
"Hmm, looks like the ship ain't the only thing that might do some impaling around here..."
Ran looked to his side and caught the downward movement of a pair of eyes to what should be his shame. There was an obscene lack of fucks given in this small sector of space; poets and songwriters would speak of staring into the fuckless void the Nepleslian represented in terms of being unable to refrain from being the greatest representative of his people. "Yeah? Is that a promise or a prediction, beautiful?"

Porrim said:
"Ohou, strong silent type. Not what I heard when you gave Akemi a clip on the ears,"
Ran's attention immediately shot to Porrim, who he responded to with an innocent raising of both arms in a conciliatory gesture. "My bad, boss lady. It's been hard juggling my rampant, glowing sexuality and the burning desire your people have for basking in that glow."

Tragically, Ran's one arm didn't come back to his side as he lowered his arms, but somehow landed across Aran'ya's shoulders. "That he-cat? Shit that was just some banter. He's alright, I guess." Ran offered a shrug and continued to work on his cigarette and lit it, inhaling the smoke and vigorously ejected it downward out of his nostrils. "Better question, though. I don't think I have a very clear idea on what you're all planning with me here. You got a cage somewhere you're gonna make me dance in or do you all need a resident bull to satisfy you fine ladies?"

Ran gave Aran'ya's shoulder a slight squeeze. Fuck yes, he thought, it's all starting to come together for ol' Ran.

Ashlinn - Deck 3, Bar

As the conversation progressed and people began joining in with the conversation Ashlinn found herself still under the 'guns' of Ran's 'charms' and sadly, she had to give the guy points for Tenacity and not letting anything slow him down. She was impressed. Her lips curled at the suggestion of her polishing skills being put to use. She held back the first response that came to mind as she shifted her weight and gave ran the most 'velvet glove over iron' handshake she could muster without trying to actively hurt the man, what she got instead was a mention of nice soft hands that actually put a pause in her train of thought to look at her hand in curiosity, then shot Mirage a questioning glance. As her most recent sparring partner Mirage probably could sink or save her on that before she turned back and laughed when Aran'ya joined in, "Be careful with this one, he's such a smoothe talker I'm certain he'll have half of us ladies fawning over him by the time we figure out what airlock we need to vent the piling of so much charm out of." Aaaand that grin turned shit eating as she saw his arms drop and suddenly he was chummy with Aran'ya. What she didn't stifle was the sudden laugh at the mention that he and akemi had traded words, "Speaking of." she'd turn towards Porrim, "It'd probably be a good idea if we kept his antics away from our guests to avoid any incidents, mebbe?" Nope. Not a shred of trust.

LSDF Val’ta Deck 2 Starboard Science

After Knight left Ny'za took the time to compile everything she had on the dog into the computer, as well as it's new vaccinations, there wasn't much and she'd have to do a full physical later though. She had the most important things covered though and that was all she needed. She quickly came to the realization however that she had nothing to do, but she remembered that there was an announcement about some kind of simulator that was being run, so she decided to go check that out.

Deck 6, Launch Deck

Ny'za was quick to arrive after she secured the science lab, she couldn't lock it down on a ship, but she could make sure the dangerous stuff was locked in drawers that needed passcodes or keys or even permission form the data strip, so the few assistants she had could still work without others coming in and messing things up. Though there wasn't much work right now anyway.

Rhiq climbed from Ny'za's shoulder to the top of her head so it could get a better view and look around the room. Ny'za started to walk, taking in what she could see of the course and looking for if there was anyone in charge.

LSDF Val'ta, Virtual Space

Knight's little virtual figure stood in the grass-filled space. The visor of barrel helmet looked around slowly, taking the surrounding into the account. Of course that was just visual, in fact he was looking at routes, synapses and programs. Hills, water, the house. Everything was part of computer systems of the ship. Each place handles something else. Either way, Knight was here to say hello and access comms. He checked if the shield was on his back, it was really just a visual thingie of his firewall, same with the armour. He would need to update that, since he was away from the any updates for years. The robot was fairly sure, that there will be solid firmware update waiting for him, once her gets access to nepleslian networks.

The little knight figure slowly walked to the house and knocked on the door. A virtual handshake of sorts, telling the ships AI that he was here and he needed to use the network.

LSDF Val'ta, Deck 3, Bar

Aran'ya gave a dark chuckle to Ashlinn as she gave a warning to her to watch out for the Nepleslian's awkward charms. The Neko probably didn't quite understand why the L'manel had walked over here rather unafraid in the first place. "Don't worry yourself, little blue cat... a good Lorath woman is not the prey of men, but the hunter, eh?"

The short white haired woman then felt the squeeze of Ran's hands on her shoulder, to which she responded: "Prediction? Heh. Nothing is predictable here on the Val'ta. But... you can bet on there being lots of exploring going on... in a variety of places." Then there was at first felt like a breeze on his boxers... but then was a good whump in the rump from Widow's black wing closest to him. Her alabaster face remained straight, though, as Aran'y took another sip of her mixed drink. Quite the tease.

Her eyes seemed to be shifting through some orange hues with the innuendo of her previous words. "As fucked up as you are, Ran, I think I prefer the crass honesty to that 'white knight' marine who really tried to screw the pooch down on Tange. He's got a one way ticket back to Nepleslia I bet... so looks like the position of 'resident harem master' is recruiting." Aran'ya smirked for a minute at the idea. "You've got some stiff competition with the cat, though..."

The medic's previous grumbling led her to look Porrim's way with a sympathetic gaze as she watched the gases stream by. "Speaking of that, Captain... you didn't deserve that dressing down from the commander back there. A lot of the SNAFU's like Menelik was out of your hands. So don't beat yourself up over it too much... this exploration stuff isn't an exact science, eh?"

LSDF Val'ta, Deck 3, Bar
The view outside continued to shift, soon the Val'ta was starting to fly into thinner and thinner clouds, getting away from the gas giant before its gravitational pull sucked it into roiling depths of heavier gasses. The view suddenly returned to normal as the Val'ta broke through the surface of the gaseous planet, back into space with a thrust! "Well, if you want to go back to the Nepleslians, we can drop you off at Miyamae and let you sort the rest out," Porrim outlined Ran's choices, which weren't many. "As for staying here ... you could provide entertainment for us, but we're handy enough to play with each other."

The captain drummed her fingers against the bar, fingernails clicking. "Or, you can make yourself useful. I could draft you into our upcoming expedition and see how you keep your head." She lifted her chin at him, trying to be aloof - but with the amount she'd drunk she wobbled and came off as comical. "Maybe you'll keep the blood in just one of your heads unlike the other Nepleslian." She twirled on her seat to address the medic next to her.

"Believe me, Aran'ya, exploring people gets boring, they're all pink on the insides anyway." Porrim replied in a tipsy drawl to the spider-aspected medic. Then she remembered an exception. "Except that one time at the bush doof in Hok'fir Mountain, with the gold paint..." she whispered to herself, finger on chin, and just close enough to Aran'ya for her to overhear. She then shook her head, "you're right though. With the brat out of our hands-"

She paused for a moment, ears twitching as she received an incoming message. Porrim frowned and unbuttoned the top couple of buttons of her uniform, dug between her breasts, and produced a datacard, a miniaturised version of a datapad with a holographics and touch-driven interface. She saw the notification of who the incoming message was from and raised an eyebrow. "Hm, I wonder what he wants now..." she said, examining the message in front of Aran'ya. A wry smile crept across her lips. "He must be joking."

The message sent back was fairly concise: 'I don't think so. If you can track them down again once they're dropped off at the right place and put through processing and reassignment, they're all yours if you can find them together. But, I'm not going to surrender custody of them to you on this ship.'

LSDF Val'ta, Virtual Space
Knocking on the door felt like the most natural thing to do in the virtual space. The door opened, and he was met with the face of a Lorath woman. The Val'ta's ARIA had sculpted themselves to look like an ideal Lorath woman: Long necked, stoic, pale skinned, well dressed in robes, and of regal bearing. They were about equal with height for Knight though, perhaps for the sake of accessibility. "Ah, you must be the robot they found on Tange IV. I was expecting your company." She said, smiling as she lead him in.

She stood aside to let him walk in and show off the interior. Wooden floors polished to a sheen, lots of natural light, a tasteful red rug with gold borders on the floor and the Val'ta's logo in the middle were the first things. Knight also spotted a kitchenette off to the left side and a bed close to the floor, while on the right there was a table for two, a bookshelf, and a desk with a computer on it - presumably a representation of the Val'ta's data archives and their connection back home.

Looking a little closer at the interior of the house, Knight noticed some slight spatial anomalies with how big the house was on the inside. The ceiling was noticeably higher up compared to how tall the roof looked outside. "Your firmware needs dire updates, though you may be protected from anything by sheer obsolescence." The ARIA noted as she headed over to the kitchenette, getting a kettle boiling. As Knight watched her, he noticed the corners of the room were a bit further out from where their points in space outside suggested.

Being a virtual world, spatial anomalies or other such graphical trickery was more than likely, given the freedom a world sculptor had.

LSDF Val'ta, Deck 6, Launch Deck
The holographic arena Ny'za found herself standing in the midst of had other Val'ta officers and personnel experimenting with the system, just as much as they were being put through a battery of initially bizarre looking obstacles. As she watched them do laps around the launch deck, hurdling, jumping, swinging, even grabbing simplistic-looking hardlight guns and firing them at diamond-like targets.

It didn't take long until she noticed the starting line on the ground for the course that stretched the whole way around the flight deck in an oval-shaped loop with some deviations here and there for larger obstacles. Aside from a few of people set aside to keep an eye on each of the obstacles in case someone got hurt or the hardlight begun misbehaving, it seemed fairly drop-in, drop-out, and Ny'za could start from wherever she decided.

Immediately ahead of her on the track were three walls to hurdle and vault over in close succession, the first could be stepped on, then the next had to be vaulted over, while the third could be climbed on, but she watched someone step on the top of each wall and over the three of them effortlessly. Next was a series of horizontal bars, with arrows indicating which way they should be manoeuvred over - including leaping over them or swinging under them. Next was a wall climb over a blue wall with yellow handholds... The course definitely had more waiting for her.
