RP: 5th XF [Intermission:YSS-Yugumo] A Well Deserved Break

Caine gave Datenshi a deadpan expression showing he wasn't amused by being corrected like that. "Datenshi, I didn't know that." he said in a slightly cold tone. There wasn't a point of keeping himself annoyed by her super active manner but he knew one day she'd annoy him enough to put her in an ice box for a few days to chill her out. He just went quiet and ate

Kiyoko leaned over to Caine and whispered "Looks like you have this covered.â€

Datenshi looked to Caine a bit oddly, surprised by his tone. But luckly (or unluckly) she knew what the tone hinted at. With a sheepish grin, she bowed her head and took another sip of her drink before she took another bite out of the burger. It was almost done now as the energetic neko took the hint and calmed down again.

Aside, Dealing in Kyoto

Once outside of the restaurant Kiyoko grabbed her backpack out of the jeep, and headed towards the building where she had arranged to meet the real estate agent. She walked though the streets, looking at the lights and the people quietly noting how intense life in Kyoto must be, busy all the time...business in the day, and the nightlife in the evening. Eventually she was there, a rather large towering white building with shiny blue tinted buildings with a sign, 庭園地所 (Garden Estate). She paused a moment checking it all out. Most of the units appeared to have balconies, the decorative rock and flower gardens in the front were very appealing, and it seemed okay.

She headed into the building to be greeted by a young yamataian who handed a business card over, saying to her "Isayama Risako, a pleasure to meet you Motoyoshi-sama, how was your trip to Yamatai?â€

Camellia watched Roger play german with her food, and after he put the sausage back, Camellia rightly flicked his ear. "You shall not use my food for pretending you're an invading army." She said smartly, as she speared the very same sausage and wagged it in his face.

"I will." She said before eating it. Then looking to her side and quickly comandeered one of Caine's bacon strips. "I claim this bacon, in the name of the Geshrin!" She stated proudly as she ate said 'liberated' piece of pork.

"So anyway, Caine." Camellia said, after giving Caine one of her sausages, as reparation of her invasion, "When Kiyoko's 'private' meeting's over I guess we are crashing at her place" She asked while taking a drink of her draft and proding her pancakes.

"Owwie," Rog said, rubbing his ear. "Not my fault the Brautwurstian army is getting all uppity." He downed the last of his drink which he'd been nursing for the last few minutes, and clunked the glass down. "Ahh," he exhaled, leaning back in his chair, "well, I feel relaxed. This might be the first shore leave where I actually end up less tense after the fact than before."

 

[Jatsu]

Jatsu shook his head, then pulled his plate closer and put his arm around it to protect it from invasion. He glared over it and, holding up a tightly-gripped fork, warned, "Anyone who attempts to annex my territory will be met with lethal resistance." As if to make a point, he pierced a piece of chicken and tore a piece off with his teeth. "Hmm, not bad," he said in a normal tone.

 

[Lin]

A pleasant little chord of chimes sounded from the air next to Jatsu, and a PANTHEON window opened a moment later. 'Good evening, Kimura Jatsu!' an enthusuastic voice said, as text filtered into the screen. 'You have an urgent message from Murasaki Aoiko with the title, 'What is the meaning of this, spending three hundred KS on a hotel room when I have a flat?' A moment later, Aoiko's face - eyes bloodshot and black-rimmed - appeared in the centre of the screen. 'Jatsu-san!' she said, rather indignantly. 'What is the meaning of this, spending _three hundred_ KS on a hotel room when I _have_ a flat?'

Datenshi looked around the table at the others, all toying and playing with thier food, and just shook her head.

Least I didn't play with my food... With a shrug, she let out a sigh an finished off her burger, before she began to pick at the fries.

 

[Kett]

Roger caught the look upon Aoiko's face in the message, and nearly fell over in his chair in laughter. "Hoo-ly shit, Aoiko! What have you been DOING? You'd make a raccoon jealous! And waaay to go, Emperor Chickenmeister; how'd you manage miss THAT little detail?"

 

[Jatsu]

Jatsu's face got pale. He grabbed the window and quickly left the table. As he walked away, he said, "Err, well, I don't know where it is, and...well, you looked so peaceful resting, I didn't want to completely wake you just to ask. Besides, it's just one night, we can go to your flat tomorrow."

 

[Tyler]

Caine looked around at everyone and finished up his food and smiled at them all and chuckled looking at Aoiko. "Well..Jatsu, you dropped the ball on that one." he said and pushed away from the table after a few minutes. "Are you guys ready to go and move on out to shop some?" He asked everyone else before getting up to go pay the bill when the waitress told him that Kiyoko had paid ahead of time for their meal.

"Well that was nice of her." He said, walking back to the table. "Kiyoko-san paid for us." Caine smiled softly.

Datenshi popped the last french fry into her mouth and nodded slightly.

"Ready when you are. And who was that?"

Datenshi pointed to where Jatsu had gone, as if wondering who the woman was.

"Another crew member?" Datenshi turned to look at Caine as she joined them again and blinked. "Really? That was nice of her..."

 

[Tyler]

Caine nodded to her "That would be another crewmember, Jatsu apparently has a crush on her." he chuckled as he leaned on the back of his chair, still standing behind it. "So how about the rest of you, ready to go shopping?"

 

[Kett]

"A crush," Roger pontificated, "would have been if Aoiko had called up with a blushing face and holding the rose which Jatsu had snuck into her arms while she slept like an angel. Considering that she called up to bitch him out while looking like she'd just gotten into a streetfight, I think we're well into the full-blown relationship stage. Just my thoughts," he added with a shrug. "Anyway, I guess we may as well head out, if everything is paid for. I'll have to thank Kiyoko at some point; I didn't realize she was going to feed us as well as house us. I feel a little guilty, actually... and a little bit like I should go nuts and order the most expensive drink in the house." He then poo-pooed the others. "Relax, I'm not actually going to."

Aside, Haruhi

As her luck would have it, shortly after Haruhi started to walk over to the group of her crewmates-to-be they in turn headed off towards one of the many hangers scattered across the landing field, soon disappearing inside. Not about to be deterred the slim Neko continued trudging across the expanse of tarmac that separated herself from the hanger, silently cursing the circumstances that had forced her to step foot on a planet once again. The reappearance of the group - albeit in civilian clothing - momentarily sparked the hope that she would be able to catch up to them without having to increase her pace, yet no soon had her hope started to bloom than it was crushed as they all piled into a jeep and drove off. Coming to a halt in the middle of the taxiway she had been crossing over Haruhi let out her breath in exasperation; turning to her left she headed off towards her original destination, the on-base accommodations.

The room opened by the card she had been given was far from luxurious; intended only for those of low rank who were passing through and didn't want to spend any KS on accommodations in the city itself, the room was both small and contained minimal furnishings. Not that Haruhi truly cared, she only planned on staying there long enough to get orders and get back on a starship. Throwing her duffle bag onto the bed situated against one of the room's walls the Neko proceeded to pull out a change of casual clothing; if she was going to be stuck on the ground – which looked entirely likely – then it would probably be best if she wasn't wandering around while in uniform, and either way it had been a while since she had been able to wear something that didn't have ‘Star Army' written all over it. Gratefully divesting herself of her uniform Haruhi went about getting into something a bit more comfortable, while she pondered if there was anything she should liberate from the logistics department while she was here in the flesh rather than at the end of a communications link.

Camellia just finished her draft when Caine postulated the query of shopping, when the majority of the assembled crew were women. Naturally, the answer, was quite clear.

"Caine, when are we not ready to shop?" Camellia asked, though she thought better, "and, don't answer. I know how you think." She said, pointing a finger at him.

 

[Tyler]

Caien snickered. "Cam, I have three sisters, I already knew that I was putting the question to members of my own gender." He clarified and nodded to Rog. Soon after leaving the cafe, the group was out in the streets over Kyoto looking over the shops once in the commercial section. "man there's a lot more stuff here than I last remember." he muttered as he walked along with his hands in his pockets. "We should probably stick together for the time being at least until we rendezous with Kiyoko." Caine said.

 

[Jatsu]

Jatsu looked over his shoulder to see everyone walking out the door. "Shit, we're leaving?" He grabbed the window and chased after them. "Well, anyway...I think everyone's going shopping now. Want to come with us? I can still buy you something nice even though I wasted some of my money to get us a hotel room."

"Alright! Remember Roger you owe me a pillow."

It was still a mystery why, but Datenshi seemed intent on getting a pillow from the store.

"So what all shops you guys wanna hit hm? I'm just taggin along for them, I already got what I wanted before this."

Datenshi nodded as she clasped her hands behind herself and watched the others.
