[ISC Enkidu] A Putrid Hub of Muck and Evilness

Re: A Putrid Hub of Muck and Evilness

"Excuse me." Algol turned to Specs and gently poked her in the forehead with the fleshy part of his clawed left hand, softly touching it with the pointy end to remind her that the hand was exactly as it appeared. He frowned for a moment, puzzled as to why the grayish flesh of his bandaged left arm matched that of her face. Was she some sort of artificial being?

"You seem to have me at a disadvantage, sera." He said with a slightly wary lilt. He was really not particularly interested, and any sort of delay that kept him from hot, running water and a warm meal was something unforgivable. Unfortunately for him... this delay was a curious girl.

He had a soft spot for the girls.

Re: A Putrid Hub of Muck and Evilness

Shiori gave a bit of a mental groan as it looked like the joke flew, figuratively and possibly literally, over Dante's head. "Yeah, well. Maybe if the skipper here will let us, we can jury-rig something to lower the chair extra. Couldn't be that hard."

Re: A Putrid Hub of Muck and Evilness

"I'd appreciate that!" Dante chuckled, satisfying himself with an impish smile to Shirori, but that brief moment was just to make a quick analysis. The Pilot wondered if she was older or younger than him. It was difficult to tell, because he was twenty-eight, and also the height of most twelve year-olds. It reminded him of how distressing it was to be mistook for a child at distance. Did she have the same problem? Would probably explain the non-stop scowl. Yeah, it was most likely for that reason. The Pilot looked her up and down, "I guess lowerin' the seat would make it comfortable for you, too!"

Re: A Putrid Hub of Muck and Evilness

"Sure, Vickenfuck, go take care'a your shit, an' you can get whoever's help ya want." Myr's eye swept over to Chrys, narrowing. "No time. Don't want someone else stealin' our shit, like Mac said. We'll come back here on shore leave sometime, y'can get yer shit then."

The captain clapped twice, sharply, then gestured back to the elevators. "Everybody off, Dickensmall up to th' cockpit."

Re: A Putrid Hub of Muck and Evilness

Specs let out a quiet squeak and winced at the poke to her forehead, before looking up to the Iroma's face. "Disadvantage? What disadvantage?"

It was then that she heard the Captain's claps and the orders to get into the ship. Without so much as a hint of remembering what she was saying or that she was talking to Algol a couple scant seconds ago, the Freespacer hurried off to the elevators, her rather inappropriate clothes swishing along behind her as if teasing Algol.

Re: A Putrid Hub of Muck and Evilness

"You seem to know what I a-" Algol was about to reply when she went off, leaving him slightly vexed.

Damn.

He snapped the fingers of his right hand, and grinned to himself. If it was to be a challenge, all the better for him, as he was the kind of man who savored any fine thing that had to be plucked for himself. Things that were given so casually were not worth his time. This rationale that he developed, was naturally one in opposition to the good senses of the universe.

He was so totally distracted that he didn't think that she might be a complete spacecase.

"Hold on a sec'... I didn't even explain myself and you stormed off!" So with that, Algol Marida followed after her, with everything he'd ever owned on his shoulders or in the travel bag at his side.

Re: A Putrid Hub of Muck and Evilness

Louis took a last look at the black tar the Enkidu had been perched upon, then shrugged. He looked back up the entry ramp to the beaten-up freighter, and then slowly walked up it and back into the ship.

He decided to head for his quarters to get the rest of his things stowed. The new arrivals had kind of interrupted things, and Mac needed to prove to Myr that he was the security guy after all. Someone who appeared to be weak and yet was in charge of security was a danger, not only to himself, but to the entire crew.
