Templates, approval, sheets? Why do we have so much bureaucracy? Lets tell a story people. When I look at a character sheet....I want to know where this character came from, and what they look like. I do not need to know what their breath smells like unless it is relevant to the story being told. Simplify the character sheets.

I couldn't agree with ShotJon more that the character sheets aren't cumbersomely difficult but, rather, an insightful way to begin the creation process and a good starting basis for what needs to happen as far as your wiki goes. As you play more on SARP, you come to understand the nuances you can add on top of the character sheets, but when you're first starting, they're pertinent and you don't even know it.
The 2016 character template is an improvement and it's also more simple because it made the skills section optional and combined a lot of fields that used to be separate (primarily in physical description), which makes the template feel less huge to new players.
