Magneto Contraterrene Projector

The ball would have to be refridgerated to near absolute zero. Tempratures that low may result in the materials used for the weapon to become britlle.
 
Refrigerating to such temperatures are very difficult, and due to physical constraints (i.e. the tech isn't the problem) such a refrigeration unit could not be installed on a small arm. And even at absolute zero* the Van Der Waals interactions still exist, so the M/AM assembly would still remain unstable.

* Absolute zero has been redifined as a small amount above total physical stasis, so that the Uncertinty Principle is obeyed.
