RP Concluded Mission 1.1 Just More Questions

Ayano

"Oh, this'll be just fucking spiffing. I'll get over there after I get into a suit." The officer replied with a heaving sigh. I hope the next one smells better and stays alive. Given what had been going on, she wondered about how support was doing getting everyone offworld before the impressive use of chemistry from above started to wane. It might be worth writing a paper about. Later.

A short time later, Ayano arrived with her whole entire medical kit to the downed vessel, escorted in by a sentry. "I told 'ya I'm fine, go back...somewhere, fucker-oh hey mo-Taisho. Reporting." The scientist's mind was in a billion places, part of which was compiling the readouts on the previous specimen into a report that could be added to the packet that were sent from back home.

Akina

"I'll let you fly. Let's move out. Tell them we are en route to the LZ. Once we get our checks done we can see if there's aid that can be rendered to those garish fellows. You know, the fun mercenaries." Akina motioned towards the shuttle and waited for Alina to go down to it first, she felt if there was sudden action at least her remaining weapons could cover her inside. She wasn't going to chance the teleport pod with her diagnostics on it basically being rendered useless. "At the very least we'll provide overwatch. As for this shuttle, she'll either blow it from above or get it quick-scooped, I imagine." As they neared the new shuttle, the Taisho hopped down and over, scanning around the LZ before signaling the hatch to open.

Crashed Alien Ship- Tachiko and Makoto, Alexei and Team, Katsuko

The Iron Company's crew worked with remarkable efficiency, and their efforts to reinforce the hull yielded swift results. The potential disaster of a deck collapse was averted, preventing tons of rubble from sealing off the room. In the dimly lit space, Strategist Lyran Veil observed their progress with keen interest, appreciating the practical skills of these alien rescuers. He couldn't help but ponder how they might fare in the intense fighting arenas of his homeworld, recognizing a potential source of profit. However, he kept such thoughts to himself, choosing instead to respond to Tachiko.

"I believe plan B won't be necessary; your colleagues seem to be closing in," Lyran remarked. As the light gradually increased in the room, he contemplated his next moves. It was crucial to navigate a delicate balance—keeping certain truths concealed while cooperating enough to secure a passage back to his people. It was no long before the last of the debris was cleared away.

In the meantime, Katsuko had arrived where Tachiko and Makoto were. "Status report?" she enquired as she approached the two.

Shuttle Two Crash Site - Daisuke, Morris and Knuckleheads

The rescue shuttle gracefully lifted off the surface, its occupants secured inside, and the CIES initiated a course that would lead them back through the atmosphere toward the YSS Mazu. As the shuttle ascended, the vast silhouette of the Mazu loomed above them, still engaged in its mission to disperse the hydrogen peroxide solution into the planet's tumultuous storm system. The ongoing efforts to quell the storm were evident, providing a dynamic backdrop for their ascent.

In the midst of this, Kaoru's voice resonated through the communications, reaching out to Motoyoshi-Ieyasu Shoi for a status update. "Mazu to Motoyoshi-Ieyasu Shoi, what is your status?" she called for her brother. Unbeknownst to her, her brother remained unconscious. The hope lingered that someone from Morris's team or Morris himself would be able to respond and provide the necessary information.

Shuttle One/Akina's Mindy- Alina and Akina

The rescue shuttle awaited Alina and Akina to board, the hatch opened upon Akina's signal. Just like the other shuttle sent for Daisuke and Morris, it had been automated on the flight down, it would be up to the two if they flew it manually or just let the CIES pilot the shuttle back to the ship.

Crashed Alien Ship- Katsuko, Yingzi, Mikael, and Ayano arriving to them

Mikael would receive the notice from shuttle five as it landed outside of the wrecked alien vessel. It would be up to him and Ayano to get the dead alien and everyone on board so they could depart.

Pretty much all that is left is for everyone to get back to the ship, then the mission is over. So get your groups loaded up in your home in your next posts so we can move forward! Next round everyone should try to be back and land on the Mazu. It's okay to move Lyran etc. Just since we had such a long pause it's best we just wrap this up.

Crashed Alien Ship- Tachiko and Makoto, Alexei and Team, Katsuko

Makoto, standing beside Tachiko, reported to their leader Katsuko. "We've stabilized the damaged areas and rerouted power to essential systems. The ship should hold together long enough for us to get everyone out. However, we still need to find the ship's main power source to ensure a safe exit." Makoto said, as a sense of surviving her mission was high. She felt pleased to be on another mission again, even if it was on a expeditionary one. Her hand rested on her Katana hilt ready for action like a ninja should. later once given the order to move, Makoto moved forward, her senses heightened, and she treaded carefully through the dimly lit corridors of the damaged ship. The occasional flickering emergency lights cast eerie shadows, creating an atmosphere of urgency. But visibly it didn’t bother her as she walked forward.

Morris's Squad
In the midst of this, Kaoru's voice resonated through the communications, reaching out to Motoyoshi-Ieyasu Shoi for a status update. "Mazu to Motoyoshi-Ieyasu Shoi, what is your status?" she called for her brother. Unbeknownst to her, her brother remained unconscious. The hope lingered that someone from Morris's team or Morris himself would be able to respond and provide the necessary information.

When the comm crackled to life, Morris had started to let himself doze for a moment; catching a little bit of precious sleep. The big man looked around for a moment; forgetting where he was for a moment. Oh, right-one of those death traps-the techs were currently mulling over the two Mindies, carefully coaxing strands of synthflesh together with pliers and stitching-marveling as the stuff knitted itself together and popped them out even as they welded together salvaged armor plates. ("We even gonna able be fix this thing?") One inquired, and another nodded, before turning to show him the power source. ("Oh aye; we'll be able tae or at least enough so it can ser fer clart-side work-the quaisten will be if it we can even keep it-let alone avoid getting bollocked fer fixing it.") Ignoring the chatter, he pulled his helmet on and toggled his radio. "Mazu-This is Yeoman Sergeant Jacob Morris-we have two KIA and one injured; Injured is Lady Motoyoshi Katsuko's son," He barked, causing the smiths to look up-Morris ignored them, "He's unconscious but stable for now, but we haven't risked cutting it him out of his armor yet to check him over properly-you might wanna have medical on standby when we arrive."

Morris cut the comm before turning to the smiths. ("Get those bodies covered-may as well show at least a little respect.") The smiths nodded, producing field tarps and arranging the remains before gently covering them. Making a mental note to check on the boy when and if he woke up-he awaited the Mazu's response as the shuttle approached the vessel's landing bay.

----

Alexei's Team

Steady progress was being made as the hole widened-the short smith had jimmied loose a particularly stubborn bar after they'd braced it-giving way to the entrance. "We mustn't tarry." He told the alien, his professionalism remaining intact despite the heavy labor they'd just committed to. Guiding their guest through the hole as the smiths rapidly packed up their tools-there was no point in removing the bracing. Supplies were loaded on the half-tracks; while defenses were abandonded-there storm had pretty much-trashed anything useful. The vehicles had been quickly repaired but likely needed a full inspection once they'd gotten back. In short order, the Cohort had packed up and were boarding the transport they'd arrived in, making tracks to the Mazu. Alexei himself had remained behind to give his report-the smithy tools heavy on his back-he ignored it as he joined the Motoyoshi's with their...guest in tow. "Survivor accounted for." He reported, giving her a sharp salute, "The rest of the cohort will depart shortly-I will be joining them unless you require anything else." His stomach churned at those words; he hated talking with nobility; but certain protocols had to be observed, even in the field.

Oh, how he despised it...

ALINA

Alina's gave followed the direction in which Akina motioned, noting that it looked like she was to go down first. "Hai Taisho." she responded, remembering some conversation she had overheard from earlier in the mission about the garish accompaniment not bothering the women. "Not so much garish as they are deliciously burly specimens that could bother me anytime. It would be interesting to spar with one, certainly." she whispered, not sure whether or not she would be heard. It made her chuckle a bit to herself that they were now going to go check in on them. Hopefully no one remembered her little quip about losing tongues or things could possibly get interesting. As she made her way over to the shuttle she did wonder how the rest of the crew faired given what had unfolded. "As you wish Taisho, I do hope everyone made it out okay."

Once they arrived at the shuttle Alina followed Akina's lead, waiting for the scan to be completed before taking any further action. After the hatch opened she entered the shuttle to get things set to take off as ordered. When she approached the piloting controls she had noted that the system was set to auto pilot. Briefly she took control to perform the request asked of her by providing overwatch, at the very least to ensure that the shuttle had arrived to the other's. After verifying that the shuttle had in fact made it to the burly crew she resumed course towards the Mazu.

When the shuttle had finally docked she took a moment to take a deep breath, then she went to check in with Taisho Akina. "Taisho, we have arrived back to the Mazu. Is there anything you would like me to get done before I return to normal duties?" she inquired. There were certainly a list of things that needed to be done, but what she really wanted after that mess was a drink!

Tachiko came to attention when Katsuko herself did, and Peepers beside her did... something... that seemed to be mimicking her, in a way, to the best of its limited abilities. "Heika-Taishō!"

"Our survivor, Strategist Lyran Veil." Tachiko indicated the rescued survivor. "Mikratos-Hei and Master Smith Durnov and his team did an outstanding job, Taishō. This first contact scenario went as well as it could thanks to their efforts."

Akina - YSS Mazu

"Be ready for bruising."
Akina remarked with a smile in her voice. She was definitely insinuating something. Inside the shuttle, she waited until they cleared the atmosphere to sit down.

The telemetry from the ship and the rest of the deployed elements began to feed into her, causing her to be more quiet until the hatch of the shuttle opened. "Good work. You are dismissed to normal duty. Create a summary of the reports once the sections file them all. If someone is late you can bother them in person or some other way. Dealer's choice." She popped free from her suit once she moved to a rack for it. She was sure it was going to need a lot of work, and she was more than glad to be out of it. Environmental control had been compromised enough that her cascade of red hair stuck to the back of her neck.

"I'm going to check the bridge then change into something less drenched. If you need somewhere closer to the bridge to do the same you can use my quarters."

Ayano - YSS Mazu Launch Bay

The form of the science-minded Neko squirmed as she was meticulously disinfected. Since she was finally free of her kit, she became more impatient to go somewhere other than a field laboratory filled with the smell of SCIENCE, or more accurately, dead sentients reminding one of fermented shark or fish 'dishes'.

"You are clear, ma'am." A silver-haired and slight young woman called.

"Fucking finaaaallly. Thanks." Ayano replied as she pulled on her fresh uniform. She was eager to dive into the atmospheric readings, and even moreso how their fiddling with the atmosphere might impact the planet long-term. The salty-mouthed officer was already doing it, in fact, as she began to wait and watch each shuttle come in so she could confirm all her people were back on board.

ALINA - YSS MAZU

When Akina had mentioned bruising, it had not quite registered with Alina at the time other than eliciting the smallest twitch of her ears. Maybe in part, because she had not been looking at the Taisho's face when it was said. So there may have been some context lost there.

Thankful for orders after arrival she respond, "Hai Taisho." She immediately began mentally processing what exactly she would have to put in her own report when Akina's voice caused her attention to rip right back over. In her head she thought that they were closer to the bridge now than Akina's personal quarters, though perhaps she was simply trying to get across that she needed to talk with her clerk in private. Alina nodded, "Hai Taisho, I will do so immediately." she responded before proceeding to the taisho's quarters, as permitted, to change into dryer clothing.

YSS MAZU

After decontaminating and removing her AMES, ensuring Lyran was in the custody of medical, and Tachiko returned to the bridge to await further instructions from Katsuko. She sat at an empty side-station, patiently awaiting orders to return to the BACC, or anything Akina needed from her. She'd remanded Peepers back into custody of the Yeomen before they'd let the surface, of course. And, she sort of missed it.
