Please remember to put the location at the beginning of each post, since we will probably have some people on the station and some on the ship.

Scorched and beat up, the Eucharis emerged from hyperspace with a small cloud of vaporized hull material following behind her. The large, round Ikoi-class station welcomed the battered ship home by opening its repair bay. Eucharis passed through the air-contained forcefield and gently came to a rest at a berth and a long gangway was extended out to her side airlock.

Inside the ship, Hanako came on the intercom. "This is the captain speaking. We escaped the NMX and made it home safely. Set condition 5. All hands report to Sune with a status report and all medics report to the medical bay to scan and treat returning search team members and the rescued."

Hanako powered down the ship's propulsion, shielding, and weapons systems and then unbuckled her harness and stripped out of her environmental suit. What she wanted was a long shower but instead she exited the bridge to see the returning search team. On the way she walked past one of the mobile spanner drones and a sealed plate it had used to stop a hull breach that had come through an escape pod shaft. She descended through the main zero-G passage steadily, opening blast shutters as she went, until she reached the hatch to the shuttle at the bottom.

She opened the the hatches to look down through the shuttle's roof. "How is everyone?"

Kiko looked up at the PA system when she heard the announcement of the Eucharis' arrival. A second after it ended, she turned her head back to Gally. "Shoi, may we be excused to report to the airlock?"

"And we just ordered, too..." Shoi Gally grumbled. "As the head of the station, I should go greet Hanako. You are welcome to come too." With this, Gally went to the counter, paid, and asked for her food to be put in a to-go box when it was done and sent to her cabin. Hopefully she'd be able to eat it before it got too cold. If not, the microwave would have to do.

Soon Gally and Kiko were back in the spacious and brightly-lit repair bay, walking down the long ramp towards the legendary gunship.

"Thank you, ma'am." Kiko said mildly. After paying for her meal (or trying to) and muttering a quiet "mine as well, please," to whoever was behind the counter, she followed Gally. She stayed behind her and to her left as they walked in the hall.

When they reached the docking bay, she looked the Eucharis over as carefully as she could while she was watching where she was going.

T7 Shuttle

With the words from the Taisa, Helen strode from the cockpit and gave a short bow to Hanako before speaking. "Taisa, we're short two crew members, we lost the Shoi in the jump, and the STV driver was killed. That aside, we have recovered a number of survivors of the Freedom successfully." Helen explained as she rose from her bow and let out a soft sigh. "Request permission to come back aboard, Taisa." She said, out of common courtesy and out of respect.

The molecure tape and other available patching items held the vacuum outside the cockpit at bay in a hasty patch job, but at least it was spacetight. Yaichiro followed Helen out of the cockpit and into the rear of the shuttle, a bloody and shrapnel-ridden mess. He did his best to stay conscious long enough to get to the medbay once permission to board was given.

Kumiko looked up, still slightly out of it with adrenaline. "Other than that, Klein-Taii took the only hit on the ground, and Kage-Shosa took a hit during our pick-up. The rest of us are intact," and with that, she glanced around at the survivors, checking to make sure that was true, "Though a bit dirty."

Takeyu let out a sigh of relief; no longer worried about having a bullet through his head. Now he allowed himself to relax a bit, and unfurled his hand from around the pistol grip. Looking at it, he saw the cuts and bruises the Lemur had given him during the brief confrontation he had with the local wildlife.

He hadn't expected the animal to be at the first tree he had chosen, though he knew he should've probably looked 'up' to check, it was just something that hadn't crossed his mind at the time. However, it was a lesson learned and knew he wouldn't make that same mistake again. With that out of his mind, he took another look at the pistol, checked it over, then put it back into it's holster.

Glancing off to his left, as he listened to the Taii, he pondered his next course of action and stood up from his seat.

Takeyu then noticed out of the corner of his eye the Shosa coming out of the cockpit; and walked over and offered his shoulder for the officer to lean on. Worriedly, he asked, "Need a hand Shosa?"

Main Passageway

“Permission granted,” Hanako replied to Helen. She looked at the blood-covered engineer. “Yaichiro needs a medic. Takeyu too. Where is Konoka?” the Taisa asked.

There was a moment of silence in the shuttle as everyone realized that Konoka had been left behind on HX-13. Hanako frowned, conflicted. They had saved 3 people but lost three of their own in the process. It was a hard trade, and the only comfort she had was that they were volunteer soldiers sacrificing their lives to save civilians. Leaving the dead was acceptable to Hanako…but leaving a still-living crew member was something that hurt deeply. She’d had to do it once before, with Jo Midori, her bodyguard, and it pained her to this day to think about it.

Finally the silence was interrupted by the chirp of Hanako’s communicator, signaling that the welcoming party was at the door. “Freedom survivors: Welcome aboard the YSS Eucharis. We are now in friendly space again and you will be allowed to contact your families as soon as we run some scans on you to make sure you are free of Mishhu infection. Please follow our crew members to the medical lab. I have to meet the people from the station but I will check on you again.”

With that, Hanako went up the main passageway to the port-side docking airlock and met Galina and Kiko. “Forgive the delay, but we are handling several medical issues. I will meet with you later Shoi Kinder. Inoue-hei, come inside the ship and see if you can help out. The shuttle is down at the bottom of the main zero-gravity passageway.”

Mikael just kind of grinned when he heard the announcement over the station's PA system. He went over to the waitress to pay for his order and to get it in a to go bag for him to pick up later.

He then proceeded to walk to Repair Bay's airlock where Kiko and Gally had gone to. He arrived just as his Captain and Kiko were about to enter the ship. He performed a crisp and quick bow towards Hanako.

"Welcome back Taisa. Is there anything I you need me to do ma'am" Mikael said after he rose and remained at attention.

"Go help the wounded and rescued," Hanako replied to Mikael.

With that, Hanako went down to the medical lab and had the NMX prisoner who was in the HS tank exit it and move into a containment cell next to her coworker’s cell. She would have the infantry soldiers transfer the prisoners off the ship when possible…but for now the priority was on those returning from HX-13. Next, Hanako began to prep the medical lab to receive casualties by activating the robotic tables and pulling out a medical kit and some science scanners.

Seeing as no one had reported to him the status of the injured, Sune took it upon himself to report to Medbay. His own injuries would not prevent him from treating the others with the automated units available. When he entered the medbay he found the Taisa preparing the bay to receive wounded.

"Taisa, besides Kage-Shosa do you know who else is injured? I presume Konoka-Hei is assisting with the transfer of the injured." he said as he pulled out a PMS-1 scanner. After checking it he clipped it to his belt and awaited the arrival of the casualties.

T7 Shuttle

Yaiba exited the cockpit and looked around the shuttle interior. After a year on HX-13 the fact that she was now safely away from it took a bit to sink in. Time enough to dwell on all that happened back there later. I still have a duty to perform. she thought.

She ascended into the Eucharis, and started ascending. It was only a few levels to get to the Medbay. Her progress was impeded by the members of the Eucharis crew taking their wounded to the bay. Saving the injured was more important than confirming a casualty in her mind.

Deck 2 Docking Airlock

Kiko saluted and bowed when she saw Hanako, said "yes, Taisa," and went to the shuttle once the way was clear.

If she saw any unattended wounded whose condition she was trained for, she went to help them. If she saw some other task that clearly needed doing which she knew how to do, she did that. Otherwise, she saluted and bowed to the highest-ranking crew member she saw when the door opened, introducing herself "Inoue Kiko-Santô Hei reporting for duty, sir/ma'am."

Medical Lab

"Konoka will not be available," Hanako stated flatly. "That makes you the main medic, Sune. Unfortunately I did not get a list of the injured. I do know we lost three crew members."

T7 Shuttle
Sukeharu remained as still as possible as he heard other people board the shuttle. He had curled as tight as possible, hugging his knees and keeping his chin tucked to his chest, showing only the muddy parachute to the rest of the shuttle cabin. He remained that way as the shuttle and the ship it docked with reached the station and Hanako had given the passengers and crew the okay to leave, after examinations.

The boy balked. He was glad to be off the jungle-planet. Even though he had enjoyed exploring the planet -- it had been a dream of his to do something like that -- he hadn't ever expected it to turn out like that. But he also didn't want to be put back in someone's 'care'. Being here, on a space station, though...what were his options?

Everyone seemed eager to leave the shuttle, either for personal reasons or because of injuries, so he let them pass by and tried to remain ignored.

YSS Eucharis

Mikael bowed once more to Hanako before he proceeded to enter the Gunship. He made his way to the Medical Lab to grab a first aid kit before he made his way thru the corridors to the shuttle. He noticed the two Nekos in the containment fields and then noticed the uniforms they were wearing. A micro emotion of resentment flashed before his face before he looked back and forth at them and then left the Medical Lab with the kit.

Being a medic was not Mikael's area of expertise. Sure he could stop bleeding, fix fractures, and generally keep other soldiers and himself alive. But beyond that he was clueless. "Will have to get more medical training" he thought to himself as he reached the shuttle. He kind of smirked when he say the state the shuttle was in. He started helping the first person that needed his help alongside Kiko.

Shuttle

Yaichiro half-gurgled an 'Arigatou' to Takeyu, the shrapnel-ridden officer glad the gamble of keeping the shields down kept them from being orbitally bombarded or from frying any of the crew. He was the only one injured by the tactic as far as he knew, which was acceptable.

What was not acceptable was that he left Konoka behind, the person who'd last helped to save his life when he was dying two years prior. He knew he was in no condition to do a headcount himself, and that Helen had said everyone was aboard, but he still felt some responsibility...

Shuttle

"Let's get you to medical Shosa, take care of your wounds," said Takeyu as he pushed through the doors and into the Eucharis. He didn't pay much mind to Mikeal, as his concern was more on the Shosa.

Once at medical, he picked a bed and helped the Shosa over to it.

Mikael watched Takeyu take a Shosa off the shuttle. Was obvious where he was going and it seemed like Takeyu was determined to get there, Mikael just left him be.

He entered the shuttle to see if there was anyone else on board when he noticed a small boy on board. A confused look came across his face as he approached him and knelt down. "Are you okay boy?" Mikael said in the most calmly stern voice he could come up with, laying down his first aid kit.
