Medbay

Sune took a moment to process what Hanako had said. Konoka was not available. Konoka is dead again? It does not seem possible. But it happened on the last mission. If I had not been injured, she would not have had to go down on that planet. But there is no sense wallowing in recriminations. After all at the Taisa's command I can restore her backup and her bubbly, well meaning, klutzy self will be back.

He looked at the door when Yaichiro was bring brought in. "Bring the Shosa over here, I will start on him immediately."

Once Takeyu helped put Yaichiro on the ABMU, "Thank you Nayacesen-Hei, If you please go sit on the ANU, I will instruct it to clean and treat those lacerations."

Sune pressed the PMS-1 injector against the Shosa's skin and listened to the hiss of the unit. He sent a telepathic command to the ABMU to start cutting away Yaichiro's uniform. He proceeded to setup a pair of IVs, one with saline and the other with hemosynth blood.

The data from the medical scanner was scrolling across Sune's Uno Sunglasses in a overlay showing the details as he looked at his patient. Lots of dermal tissue damage, but that's minor. Damage to the neck and trachea is more concerning. He thought.

"Kage-Shosa, I am going to have to sedate you to treat your wounds properly. If you have anything you wish to tell the Taisa either telepathically or verbally be do so now and be quick about." Sune said.

Eucharis

While the others went about handling their wounds and other affairs, Helen took to being a loner aboard a ship of close knit personnel. She still had a lot on her plate to deal with... she still had to report on her infiltration of the Lorath Matriarchy, and now she had the events of HX-13 to weigh on now as well. No doubt there would be an inquiry about two crew members and a sprite being lost, but she also knew that such a thing would be merely a formality considering the situation surrounding those deaths.

After returning her intact gear to the ship's stores, Helen made her way into the Eucharis' wardroom, where she went about looking into the matter of getting a meal. Mending blast-induced wounds, operating a vehicle mountable machine gun, evading sniper fire, and manipulating the forces of electromagnetism and gravity took a toll on her inefficient body... especially considering that prior to the fiasco on HX-13, she had been on the run in a stealth shuttle for weeks, without a decent meal.

"MEGAMI, please open a communication line to Vicky and the YC-28, request that the YC-28 be routed to this station to conduct a pick-up... until then, please access my in-box..." As Helen went about finding food, she began to catch up on things which could possibly require her attention.

Kiko pulled a first aid kit out of her belt pouch when Mikhael rejoined her with one from the medical lab on the way to the shuttle. She didn't notice the boy behind the parachute at first. "Why were you hiding?" she asks him, trying to inject some kindness into her voice. It comes out as flat as ever, but at least that also hides her suspicion. If she sees nobody else in the shuttle, she replaces her first aid kit in her pocket.

"...The Taii...summed it up well enough...but you're in charge of medical..." Yaichiro said, shifting uncomfortably. It was hard to hear Sune on that side since one of his ears was gone. There wasn't much to report on, in all honesty...

"Make sure...they aren't parasite-ridden...the survivors I mean...we got away too easy...and watch the prisoners closely too..." Yaichiro said to Sune, pondering on how easily they'd managed to evade capture. Sure, it was POSSIBLE, but a CFS colliding with Eucharis'? Getting away from a group of NMX ships that easily? The Eucharis not being orbitally bombarded the moment the situation went sour? He didn't trust it. He didn't trust it one bit.

"Hope I'm just paranoid..."

Doing as he was told, Takeyu took a seat at the ANU and allowed the machine to do its job. "Sune-Juni, did you need me to stay and help out once my wounds are treated?" he asked.

Sukeharu stayed where he was under the row of seats along the wall of the shuttle, hunched over with his back to whoever was talking, trying to look as much like a duffel bag as possible (a dirty duffel bag with long, tangled black hair at one end, but he didn't know that) and hoped that the person happened to be talking to someone else.

He frowned. That was directed to him. He slowly turned his head, trying to look over his shoulder without making noise, to see who the two people were talking to.

Kiko blinked. The refugee must not have heard them.

Telepathic message to Sukeharu said:
Hello. Is your hearing impaired? Would you like us to escort you to Medical? Nod or shake your head if you can't talk either, please.

Mikael crossed his arms as he stood back up and looked over at Kiko. "Looks like he is traumatized.." said as he started to pick up his first aid it to see if any sedatives were in it. "Or his doing a fairly decent job of being a mime."

Medical Lab

"Let me know when you have the reports from everyone," Hanako told Sune, irritated by the crew slow response to her orders. "If there is anyone that fails to report their status to you, I want a list of them too. Once all survivors are scanned please transfer them to the station and have the infantry soldiers Inoue-hei and Harris-hei transfer the NMX prisoners to the station's brig, but not at the same time as the survivors."

Sune injected the anesthesia into the IV to render the Shosa unconscious, while he waited for it to take effect he turned to Takeyu. "Nayacesen-Hei, I was told there where three injured. Who was the third person? Once the ANU is done treating you, make sure that the survivors are brought to medical." he said replying to Takeyu

He grabbed a scrub and put it on in preparation for working on Yaichiro. "Will do Taisa," he said in response to Hanako as he intubated Yaichiro. Given the damage to the throat Sune wanted to ensure that the airway stayed clear.

Sune then started on the task of treating Yaichiro. The shrapnel to the chest were relatively simple, so he left them and started his work on the throat. Cleaning the injury, removing shrapnel and debris from the wound he couldn't help but wonder what kind of weapon could shoot through a shuttle windscreen.

Sune's hands moved with practiced grace and speed as he worked in harmony with the ABMU to rebuild Yaichiro's throat using what tissue remained. Together he and the unit removed the various bits of debris from his skin and chest and treated the wounds.

At this point the best treatment that Sune could offer him was to put him in the Hemosynth tube to rapidly regrow the missing ear and the skin over the throat and chest. He signaled the ANU to put Yaichiro in the tube and proceeded to look for the next patient.

Medbay

Yabia spotted Hanako in the Medbay, it was easy to recognize the historic figure. She walked over to her still wearing her garb from the surface with her bow sticking over her shoulder.

"Ketsururi Hanako-Taisa, Yaiba-Jôtô Hei reporting. She said bowing respectfully. Rising up, "I am grateful for being rescued and saddened for the sacrifice your crew made. I found one of your crew members on my way to the rendezvous." She said holding up her Type 29 Communicator, with the image of Voe. "It look like she fell out of your ship to her death ma'am." Yaiba paused, "With your permission Taisa, I will present myself for debriefing after medical clears me and I get a shower and a decent uniform to wear."

Yaichiro, still unconscious, was put in a hemosynthesis tank to regenerate, and his body started to rebuild and heal itself. Out of habit, his unconscious mind tried to probe for a specific super short-range Integrated Electronics System interface out of habit, but the specific computer system nor the interface requiring it weren't present.

It was not harmful, nor did it inhibit his healing, but it was a curiosity if at all detectable.

Medical Lab

"Very well, Yaiba," Hanako nodded, frowning as she looked at the image of her newly-joined crew member dead in the trees. How did such an accident happen? she wondered. "I am sorry we took so long to arrive. Although SAINT knew where you were shortly after the crash due to their agent there, the rescue mission was deemed too risky so it was either us or no one, and we were stuck in missions until now. Everyone on the rescue mission knew the risks and volunteered so that you would have a chance."

Medbay

"I understand ma'am. Between the losses in the crash and since then. Just a lot of people dying in really gruesome ways with little to show for it." Yaiba replied, "With your permission, I will report to the medic."

Eucharis - Wardroom

Indulging in the scent of hot coffee, Helen did her job... a pair of reports were quickly drafted in her mind. One of the reports she sent to the medbay, the other was intended for Hanako... though she decided to review that one further before sending it. She was not about to go and bother a person busy mending together people, and another who was busy managing reports from her own crew.

T7 shuttle
Kiko noded. "Mental trauma seems more likely, but he may simply be unable to hear us."

T7 Shuttle

Sukeharu's Geshrin body wasn't able to 'hear' Kiko's telepathic attempt at communicating, but he could hear Mikhael.

He managed to turn enough to see them watching him and frowned, then turned back to look at the wall and snorted. He pushed against the wall with his feet while reaching up and grasping the edge of the seat he was under with one hand; a quick motion later he was sitting on it, fingers gripping the edge while his knees were pulled up to his chest in a half-seated-half-crouching posture.

He wanted to run -- he had the space and speed to get by them, or so he thought -- but something told him that he wouldn't get far, that there was nowhere to run to. The concept of "space station" was a foggy one now, after a year in the jungle, but he vaguely remembered it meant "enclosed space" (though not in so many words). So he just sat on the seat, staring at Kiko and Mikhael through half-lidded eyes; not fearfully, not angrily, but looking more than a bit annoyed.

"Leave alone," he muttered.

Medical

"Apologies for the late report, wanted to get the Shosa here as fast as possible. I know the Taii was wounded by enemy sniper fire and an exploding STV, but I believe she's allowing her body to heal her wounds," responded Takeyu, assuming the Taii was the third injuried. He didn't know anyone else, Yaichiro was already here and he was presently being treated. The only other third one he was aware of was the Taii, Endoh-hei he knew wasn't injuried and none of the survivors, to his knowledge, had any injuries.

He sat there, still allowing the ANU to fix his injuries.

Helen's mind soon mulled over the matter of the second report, the one meant for the Taisa, the Princess, for Hanako. As she ate a sandwich which she had to make herself, since there was apparently a lack of sprites to handle the matter, she composed the report which she soon sent to Hanako's in-box.

With the report complete, Helen forwarded it to Hanako.

T7 shuttle

Mikael was not a child friendly person due to the fact he did not interact on a constant basis with them. And now he was really wishing he had. If he had to, he would simply grab the boy from the legs and drag him to the medbay. But he knew that would end badly for him. He looked over at his new Neko companion and gathered from the way she looked she did not have much life experience, especially with children. His began to frown a bit as he thought what he should do.

The frown grew a bit larger for a sec when he watched the boy perform acrobatics into his new position on the chair. "Leave alone" the boy muttered.

Mikael phased out for a few minutes while he tried to figured how to make a telepathic communication. Most likely letting a few of his frustrations out to unintended recipients.

Telepathic message to Nayacesen said:
Nayacesen-Hei, Harris-Hei here. Did a small boy accompany the team and you off the planet?

T7 Shuttle
Kiko shook her head. "I'm afraid we cannot," she said mildly. She kept on her guard for a mad dash out of the shuttle - if the rumors she had heard about the NMX were true, he needed a checkup for the station's safety as well as his own health. Not to mention the fact that he clearly needed mental help. "Is there anything else you need?"
