Recon Team - Engineering

Takeyu looked over the sensor data with a frown. “No communications system, so at least we don’t have to worry about a signal being sent out… but five Yamataian signs, that doesn’t bold to well,” he looked off to his side at one of the various displays he had and tapped one of them. “Ok… let’s see,” he walked over to the main console.

“Shosha, Tomomi-hei has discovered that the main computer is gone, whoever stripped his vessel took it with them. By some miracle, do we have a spare?” he asked Hanako and, while he waited for a response, he sent orders to the rest of the crew.

Code:
Ok people, we have no main computer, althougth main power is online so at least we have lights; which should also mean that any doors that we couldn’t get through should now be opened.

Doubtful we have a spare.. although the fabricator might be able to produce, but just in case.. He then went about sending individual orders:

“Tomomi-hei, I need to know if there is anything in that room that we can use, is there anything that wasn’t taken?”

“Natsumi-hei, please help DarkSky-hei in collecting hull pieces and computer parts that are outside of the ship. Place them into the cargo hold, however, I want all computer parts brought straight to engineering please. Also, if you find any important parts, such as memory modules or processors, bring those straight to me.”

Code:
Sorry about the delay DarkSky-hei, let me know if you can get any of those flashlights. While we may have main power, there's no telling if areas of the ship lack lighting.

“Bors-hei, join with Reika-hei and Konoka please. I would like you three to search the areas of this vessel that we haven’t been to, use your drones for the maintenance conduits.” He thought for a quick moment before adding, “also, Konoka? If you find any more blood spots, take samples please.”

He rubbed his chin. “Shosa? Do we still have a sensor system? I don’t see anything in the sensor report about it missing..”

“Misato-hei, please join Tomomi-hei and provide any assistance she’ll need,” he moved back over to the main terminal and looked at the power readouts. He pulled power away from weapons and shields, no point there and transferred it to the environmental systems, he then continued to prowl through what systems he could afford to bring offline and which he couldn’t.

"From what I understand, the sensor systems were built into the MIKO system." Helen explained, to the best of her memory. "With the computer gone, the sensors are gone as well. However, I don't see why we can't patch in a spare PA and use the equipment aboard a PA to effectively allow for communications and limited computer control." Helen suggested, as she continued to look about the ship for more clues.

"Will do sir." Tomomi replied to Takeyu while frowning. She ordered her drones to conduct an extensive search top to bottom for anything that could be useful. While she looked around herself, she also linked her AIES to Charisma and requested what components are needed for a new computer and what spare components are available.

YSS Eucharis

Hanako opened a voice channel to the team. "I see you have restored some power. If you can get the anti-gravity systems online and get the ship hovering, that would make it much easier for us to tow the ship into space. Load whatever valuable cargo you can fit into the ship's cargo bay and then prepare for liftoff, including Ramiro's tank. I want an inventory list from Mitsuko when you're done. Tomomi and Takeyu, get a basic computer running using the parts we found. You may need to write a balancing program code for the anti-gravity systems. I scanned the cargo and there are some computer memory modules in the electronics container outside. Have it brought aboard the Ayana." The Eucharis' computer confirmed there was enough electronics to build a new ship's computer fairly quickly using some of the electronics along with the computer main board and processor they had recovered.

"I would like to leave this system as soon as possible." Hanako continued. "After we're in space, we will dock with our Ikoi light starbase. We have an overdue ceremony this evening."

Recon Team

Bors' drone found another Yamataian/Jiyuuian blood stain in a maintenance tunnel. It appeared that, of the five crew members, at least three had been killed aboard.

Recon Team - Outside

After picking up the lights (non-floating variety) from Victory, Jonathan returned to the salvage. He secured the 2 New laptop navigational computers (with interface cable,) as well as the two processors and computer main-board, and made his way back to the wrecked ship. On his way, he sent a reply to Takeyu.

Code:
Shoi, I am returning with a selection of standard flashlights; floating flashlights are personal kit items, and do not appear to be stocked within the ship's supply. I am also carrying a pair of laptops with interface cables and a trio of other computer-type parts that may be of assistance.

Medical Center

“Okay, if you will come over to this unit.” Sune said to Bran'won as he walked over the AMSU. “This unit will be assisting me in some of the more delicate aspects of the surgery.” Sune then walked over to the Lorath medical cabinet and selected some of the drugs that he felt would be most beneficial. He also made programmed the AMSU to select the Cellular Spray attachment for closing Bran'won’s wounds.

Sune put on a pair of scrubs, and washed his hands. Once he was satisfied he put on a pair of sterile gloves. He walked back over to the AMSU. He placed a hand on Bran'won’s shoulder in a reassuring manner. “When you wake up you will face your future with none of your former fetters.” He sent a mental command to the unit and it applied the necessary drugs to put his patient under.

The first issue to address was the slave collar. He pulled up the PMS-1 data and identified the multiple wires that have been attached to a variety of nerves in the neck. It was apparent that these would allow the device to directly transmit signals into the victim’s neural system. What kind of people would make such a device? I mean the NMX are horrible, but they do not do this kind of brutality to their own as far as I know.

He sent a command to Charisma asking her to make a complete record of the medical scans and the work he was about to do to release this person from his servitude. Sune set about the delicate task of isolating each of the wires. He would remove each point where the wire was grafted into the nerve. Then have the AMSU use the Emrys Cellular Spray to replace the tiny pit of nerve tissue he was forced to remove. He repeated the process again and again until every one of them was removed.

Next he set about the task of removing the processor ring; he first had to remove the connections it made into the circulatory system. Damn the Lorath, it is not enough to enslave them, but then have the instrument of their torture feed off their body for power. he thought. With the feeds closed off and the bacterial pack removed, he set about cutting the ring off with a laser scalpel. He did this himself because he wanted to ensure that there was no change in the patient’s condition as he did so. Finally he was able to remove the collar and tossed it onto the floor in disgust.

Sune stepped back and got a drink of water; he took note of the time, and realized he had been working on the patient for a while. He instructed the AMSU to remove the RFID tracking devices from Bran'won while he contemplated the best method to remove the radio-isotope laced tattoos. The best method he could see was to cut away the laced tissue and then have the AMSU replace it with health tissue from the Cellular unit. Having decided on his strategy, he programmed the AMSU to being the procedure. It was better suited to the precision he wanted so that the patient would have no scarring.

Awhile later, under Sune’s watchful eye the AMSU completed its work. The only evidence of the work was the slight mismatch of skin pigmentation that was unavoidable. The new skin layers were not subjected to any solar energy. Within a short while of normal exposure, the new skin would match the rest of it.

Sune had the unit transfer Bran'won to one of the regular beds and waited for the patient to awaken.

Cabin 4

Mitsuko smiled, satisfied with herself. Books on the shelves, new sheets for both bunks. Even the desk was set up, looking more professional and organized with everything in place. She wasn't quite sure of the best place for their new fridge, though.

She perked up, turning away from the desk as she heard the captain's voice. Murakami nodded to herself, leaving the cabin and heading back to the cargo bay. Once she was able to peer back through the loading bay, she sent Ramiro the message she'd been writing while moving through the ship, asking for a list of everything he'd moved onto the wrecked ship. She adjusted one part of the list herself, moving the tank he was driving from the Eucharis to the salvaged ship.

Now, how was she supposed to know what all the investigation team had commandeered to help with repairs? She couldn't spot any of them visually, so she attempted to send a message wirelessly, similar to how she'd just been contacted. Of course, Mitsuko's was written, politely inquiring as to what inventory the team had brought to the derelict ship, both from the planet's surface as well as from the Eucharis.

Recon Team
Konoka nodded in response to Takeyu's orders. She then began to follow Bors and Reika to the uncharted areas of the ship. As she did so, she opened the cargo bay door for Ramiro.

Recon Team

Upon receiving Hanako's message, Tomomi proceeded to take the quickest way to the container with the Electronics. She carefully opened it and proceeded to find the containers with the memory modules. She also identified what other components would be needed and took trips back and forth to the computer room to deposit them.

Once she was done with that, she closed the storage container and went to Engineering to get the last three parts.

Recon Team - Engineering

Takeyu glanced over his shoulder when he saw Tomomi walk in, then looked back at the terminal and began to run a test on the anti-gravity system to ensure it wasn't damaged.

"You heard the Shosha," Takeyu shouted to the entire team via comm's and moved over. "Get everything loaded into the Ayana's cargohold including the tank."

Looking over at another system, then glancing upward. "Tomomi-hei, I'll be down in the computer room shortly to help you build that computer," he then pulled his ICP out of his pocket and brought an encryption program online and started to slave some of the reactors functions to the pad so he could monitor the reactor while he was in the computer room assisting with the build.

"Takeyu to Bors-hei, Reika-hei, Konoka, we are going to be heading into space shortly after we've built ourselves a new computer. There's no telling how much of the ships external hull is compromised and could collapse once we get into space, so avoid going to any of the ships external areas please."

Takeyu thought then looked at another panel before sending a request to Charisma to scan the ships external hull for any signs of hull buckling that could result in a breach when they go into space and then requested that data be sent to the three away team members who were presently searching the ship.

"I guess I was hoping that we'd find some more evidence of what happened here, but that's a loss I guess. Anyway, the Shosha wants us in the air, and I need your help to expedient that. Tomomi-hei and I are going to build a new computer and get it hooked up and programmed so that we can get this ship off the ground so I need to leave engineering to do that. Although I have some of this reactors functions slaved to my ICP, can you be down here please and monitor the systems as well?"

Recon Team

"Take your time sir, I have to sort out the parts and change into the uniform in the butt pack. Not going to add more of a chance to sort out the electronics." Tomomi said as she picked up the last three components.

She went back to the last components before she moved her Mindy slightly away before she dismounted from it. In the nude, she quickly changed into the uniform stored in the butt pack.

Once she was set in her uniform, she proceeded to set the basis of the computer by setting the main board in an empty mainframe. Once it was set, she proceeded to carefully attach all of the needef components to make the computer workable.

Recon Team

After heading to the bridge and collecting whatever scant evidence she could find there, Reika headed back to engineering as ordered by Takeyu so that he could issue new instructions. From there, the engineer dispatched the Bors, Konoka and Reika to search new areas of the ship. The operative made her way to deck two of the warship, starting her exploration at the ships armory. When she reached the door, Reika dispatched her drones inside first as a precaution.

Code:
"This is Reika -- I'm checking out what remains of the armory, now. At least with the power back, most of the isolation doors should be working again -- and with any luck that'll keep most of the air inside once we get the escort up and back into space -- even if there is an occasional hull breach.
Through the footage transmitted by her drones, Reika examined the armory -- looking for signs of the original crew, their attackers, remaining equipment, or anything else out of place.

Recon Team

The evidence remaining was scant. Once the anti-gravity system was running and Ramiro had a chance to move cargo and get the tank on the escort, the Eucharis took off and towed the Ayana into space. Immediately afterward, the Eucharis docked in the repair bay of the Second Squadron Starbase.

Over the intercom and by radio, the crew heard Hanako say, "Eucharis crew: Please report to the station park in service dress uniform for a promotion ceremony."

Even after power had been restored and the ship had been towed into space and to a starbase, Natsumi still felt uneasy about it. The lack of resolution or even a decent amount of information from the ships computer hadn't helped.

Now though, she was preparing for the promotion ceremony. When the Shosho had called for the crew to assemble she had quickly retreated to her shared cabin to retrieve her kit, then had gone for a quick shower. That done she dressed in her dress uniform, buttoned up the overcoat, did up her hair and set hercap upon her head.

She was off then, leaving the Eucharis via the zero-g airlock and tunnel and made her way to the station park.

Ikoi Park

Upon entering the park, the Eucharis crew was greeted by the scent of fresh, moist earth and planet, spawling out in a seemingly endless expanse of grass, flowers, and trees beneath a comfortably warm sun. A marble podium stood in front of a clearing.

Ikoi Park

Mitsuko was oblivious to the mystery they were abandoning as they left the derelict ship behind. She was slightly worried about how they were going to properly reorganize all of the cargo once things were settled, though. Soon after docking, she had followed orders and headed for the station's park, dressed appropriately.

She was proud to have made it here by herself without fretting about anything, but she was thrown a curve soon enough. Murakami slowed as she joined other crew members in the park, eyes wide as she looked around. "...oh! It's so..." She trailed off, busy drinking in the atmosphere. The Neko hadn't quite expected this, but it wasn't unwelcome.

Eucharis

After the Ayana derelict was towed to the Ikoi starbase and the crew had a chance to transfer back over to the Eucharis, Reika got herself out of her dirty Daisy power armor and grabbed a quick shower, before she proceeded to her cabin in order to don her dress uniform for the upcoming ceremony. After brushing the uniform off a bit and making sure she looked appropriately neat and tidy, the neko navigated back through the Eucharis' interior until she vacated the gunship entirely.

Ikoi Park

As instructed by Hanako, Reika found her way to the artificial park created aboard the station. She breathed in the scent of the manicured grass and colorful flora, and enjoyed the feeling of the warm light bathing her figure. The SAINT operative came to a stop next to Natsumi and Mitsuko within the small, green-clad clearing. First casting a glance towards the marble podium and then back to her fellow crewmates, Reika smiled gently and spoke softly to her companions. "Whilst this is certainly an improvement over trudging through the bowels of a derelict... these ceremonies always make me a little nervous."

Cabin Five

Tomomi was kinda bummed that from what she could tell, they were unable to determine with happened what on the derelict ship. But she was proud of herself that she got some hands on experience of actually creating a computer from scratch. Nice to know that her schooling was not for nothing.
Swapping from her working uniform she put on once she stored her armor to the dress service uniform, she left for the ceremony.

Ikoi Park

The smell of the park kinda threw Tomomi off. She did her best to ignore it while she waited for the ceremony to start. She looked over towards Mitsuko when she spoke. Tomomi was going to say something, but choose not to. She then looked at Reika.

"I honestly preferred the derelict. I have never been one for these formalities." Tomomi said kinda softly.

Ikoi Park

Ramiro went immediately to the park for the ceremonies, oblivious to what had gone on for most of the mission since he had spent it hauling cargo. Once he arrived he located the clearing in front of the podium. Choosing a spot several yards in front of the podium, and several feet to the left, he walked over before looking at those around him.

"Crew, fall in on me according to rank. Lower ranks to the left, higher ranks to the right."

Ikoi Park

Bors adjusted his collar as he exited the Eucharis, Gotten a bit tighter since the last time i wore this thing... he thought as he walked over to join the rest of the crew. As he fell into the formation he had to chuckle a bit as he glanced around "Well good news it it shouldn't be too long, seems like we're the only ones out here."
