"Do you need me to help them sir?" Tomomi asked as she walked back into engineering.

Recon Team

Takeyu was on the verge of response when he saw Tomomi walk in, though without any materials in hand. "Yes I do, scrounge up some of the materials outside the ship, hull plates, computer parts and place them in the cargohold," he said to the girl and glanced over and watched as Helen left.

"Probably pointless, but look for anything that might send out a message the moment the system comes online. Alternatively, you can disconnect the dish and we can inspect it afterwards."

"Also, it might be a good idea to have the ship perform a scan just to be on the safe side."

Should've brought a generator....

He removed one of the panels next to a control terminal and glanced inside. "Where is that canister.." he glanced over at the door.

Recon Team

Takeyu's request was a difficult one, which made Helen frown behind her helmet. "Takeyu, I would have to disconnect every emitter, emission source, and confirm there are no planted devices. That takes time." Helen informed the engineer and group leader, as she interfaced with the Eucharis. Upon interfacing with the ship, she used the sensors aboard the Eucharis to scan the Ayana-Class as well as could be done, considering the exterior of the ship had a 'stealth material' coating, which she attempted to compensate for.

As Helen scanned the ship, she ignited the aether beam projector of her Kylie as she reached a specific junction within the ship. Based off of sensor data, and intelligence she had gathered months prior, she knew what was on the other side of a bulkhead she was near, as she plunged the aether projection through the wall and used it to sever the communication systems from the computer and power relays.

Recon Team

By the time Natsumi had received Takeyu's request to bring more flashlights she had been too far into the ship to turn back. Anyways, the hydrogen canister was needed more importantly.

She finally reached the engineering compartment, stepping through the hatch just a short bit after Helen exited the space.

"Here I am, with one hydrogen canister!" she announced, walking over to where the Chief Engineer was and presenting it to him.

Recon Team

Reika nodded in response to Helen's instructions and added a succinct, "Yes, ma'am" as acknowledgement. Setting down her rifle and reaching around to the back of her waist where her armors buttpack lay, she disconnected the bag and set it down in a clear space so that she could sift through the contents of the survival kit stored inside.

Unfortunately, the recon team didn't have any real forensic equipment with them -- though the tweezers and sealable plastic bags in her kit would do in a pinch for collecting the errant shell casings spread around derelict. They could probably use the Eucharis' fabrication facilities to manufacture the powder they would need to actually get prints off the casings. Once she retrieved from the kit what she needed, Reika returned the buttpack to its proper place upon her armor.

As she started her work, Reika intructed her armors AIES to record images of the scene before she disturbed the shells with her tweezers, dropping shell casings gently into an open plastic bag. After going throughout the engineering bay and satifying herself that she had found all that there were to find in that chamber, she addressed the rest of the recon team via telepathy.

Code:
"I'm going to head back up to the bridge to retrieve what I can from there -- lets see if I can't get some blast residue from that great big hole they blew in the entrance as well -- finding out what kind of explosives these pirates or mercs have at their disposal might be of some use."

The neko retrieved her rifle, then began to make her way back through the ship to the bridge.

Medical Center

With his patient on the medical bed Sune approached. He held up the scanner's hypospray. "This has no drugs in it, the hypospray is filled with scanner nanomachines. They will help me to get a detailed analysis of your condition. They will dissolve in twenty-four hours. Do you have any objection to the use of this?" He asked to give his patient a measure of control, he had other tools at his disposal but the PMS was the most expedient. Sune felt that it was prudent to let this person who for some yet unspecified period of time had been completely out of control of his life and what happened to his body.

Bran'won looked at Sune for a moment as if lost in thought, "Five years... I've lost five years... by your reckoning it was YE 29 when the civil war started and I was captured....." he paused for a moment. "You may proceed Jalen-Shosa, after all once you have done your work. I may try to resume my life, what may be left of it."

Sune nodded, and pressed the hypospray to his patients neck. After the injection, he logged the batch into the scanner and linked it into Charisma. He had no hands on prior experience of treating a Lorath. He had read some text books, but it was not the same as actually seeing their internals and analyzing their blood chemistry.

While the scanner was at work 'learning' the new physiology, he went through the more basic examinations. Noting various injuries, scars, etc which would need further investigation. He was also trying to imagine what it would be like to awaken and find five years had passed. The brief period of time he lost when he died and had to be restored was annoying. The idea of years was almost inconceivable.

Data started streaming in and Sune could see that he would have his work cut out for him. He was detecting radio-isotopes in the dermis, but it was not from some random exposure. They were in very precise patterns which he soon realized... they were laced in the tattoos on his patient. He also saw that his patient had a number of cybernetic implants, but also some anomalous implants in the neck and wrist.

He sent a query to Charisma and once the data was available moved around to where he could face his patient.

"According to our records, the Occhestan did establish two colonies. Unfortunately our records are rather limited. Beyond the fact that they established Occhestia and Gryzciki, I could not find any more data." he said.

Recon Team - Engineering

"Great!" said a happy Takeyu as he took the canister off Tomomi's hands and removed one of the broken one's and replaced it. "Canister in place," he double checked the seals and insured it was set right then nodded.

Code:
Takeyu to all team members, bringing reactor online, report any blows outs

Standing in front of the main engineering console, he glanced about the bay before hitting the reactor start up sequence. Now to hope this works...

Recon Team - Ayana Engineering

There was a rumbling hum as the reactor came to life. Moments later, throughout most of the ship, the lights flickered on, eliminating most of the darkness. The area that Helen had damaged sparked and smoke came out of it. The environmental systems began to pump air again, too.

As the control panels in engineering booted up, they displayed a message showing there was no connectivity to MIKO.

Recon Team - Outside in the rain

Jonathan reviewed the materials and equipment request for Takeyu, and swiftly acknowledged the instructions. Sending his own drones about, he quickly identified the parts that the Chief Engineer had identified. As he worked to segregate the specified gears and gizmos, the infantryman sent a message to Takeyu.
Code:
"Shoi, these parts will take multiple trips to bring onboard. Furthermore, some of of the structural support components may also require transport through the ship's cargo facilities as opposed to through the escape pod gallery. I will begin with bringing the smaller computer components first, as well as a compliment of floating flashlights."

With that sent, he finished assembling those usefull bits, and proceeded torwards the Eucharis. As he floated towards his new home he ran through the vessel's crew roster and, noting a speciality, sent a message to the ship's cargo specialist.
Code:
"Victory-Nitô Hei. In the interest of expedience and efficiency, I am requesting a crewperson assemble approximately one dozen floating flashlights in a container in the Power Armor Bay. Nayacesen-Shoi has requested them to aid in his repair efforts. I am en route to secure them and bring them to him."

Recon Team

"Not a bloody thing...." Bors said taking off his helmet and flopping down on one of the mattress less bed frames. After a search of a couple of rooms Bors hadn't found anything, aside from some trash and about 2KS, so he decided to take a wee break and figure out what to do next. Just as he was taking out his Ecig to help him think, the lights flickered on in the room, causing Bors to smile a bit "Alright things are finally getting underway here." Putting his helmet back on he headed back to the engineering room rechecking the hallway as he walked down it for anything he might of missed. "Nice job with the lights there boss" He said as he entered the room, "So whats next on the 'to do' list?"

Recon Team

Tomomi quickly proceeded to gather up computer parts from outside to bring in. Not knowing what exactly was needed, she just gathered the containers with the computer processors and main-board in them. She returned to Engineering shortly afterwards.

YSS Eucharis

Hanako felt insulted by Helen’s extremely vague accusations that somehow the Yamataian government was directly funding some sort of raider group in the former UOC. “Yamatai neither possesses nor funds any military forces other than the Star Army of Yamatai.”

Eucharis’ intelligence, Charisma, asked Helen what type of scans to perform on the Ayana and if she was looking for anything in particular.

“What about that computer?” the Shosho prompted Takeyu.

Medical Lab

“Is it possible for you to return me to my people?” the Occhestan asked Sune.

Cargo Bay

“Floating flashlights are personal items. I do not have any, unless you want to start rummaging through everyone’s cabins,” Victory told Johnathan. “I have a box of normal flashlights in the armory. I will bring them over.”

Ayana-class Escort

With basic power restored to the ship, the doors were working again and the recon team would be able to get in and out of the ship more easily. The power levels of the ship were still very low overall, and Takeyu found himself having to pick and choose what systems to turn on. So far, there was lightning and environmental systems, neither of which took a lot of power. It looked like there would be enough power for the ship’s underside anti-gravity systems but not enough for shields or anything fancy.

Recon Team - Ayane Engineering

"Thank you," said Takeyu as he glanced over at Tomomi and motioned toward an area of engineering that was relatively clear. "Place the parts there, I have another job for you."

He moved over to another terminal, this one only partially operational but enough for him to do his work. "We have no connection to the computer, so I need you to head to the computer room and find out what is going on."

Then he looked up at the reactor and nodded.

Code:
Takeyu to the entire team, with the exception of Tomomi-hei and Helen-Shosa, I need everyone to return to engineering for assignments.

He then glanced at the monitor he had been in front of. "Damn it all, got something siphoning a small bit of power..." he muttered and began to run a localized diagnostic to figure out where it was coming from.

"Just sent Tomomi-hei to inspect computer and bring it online, have received no connection from it," Takeyu said to Hanako's message.

Recon Team

"On my way." Tomomi said once she placed the containers on the ground. Tomomi then redirected her drones towards and into the ship's computer room. She was looking for any obvious damage, out of place devices, and traps before she set foot into the room.

Recon Team
Konoka had long since finished collecting her samples. Now she really had nothing to do, which made her feel useless. She hated that. She couldn't wait to get back to The lab and analyze the blood she'd collected!

Recon Team

There was a raised brow from Helen at Hanako's response. Perhaps she assumed a Shosho would know too much. Future note; do not bring up the Reds in conversation with Hanako at any time. Helen thought, as she sent a reply to Hanako; "Understood Shosho, covering all the bases. Pieces to this puzzle don't fit right." she explained, before she shifted her attention to a means of investigation which required far less egg-shell walking.

"Charisma, I would like the following searched for, by order of priority; transmitter, receiver, and transceiver devices. DNA traces. Unknown emission sources. Unexploded ordinance. I also suspect that Takeyu would appreciate the production of a floor plan and a mapping of workings of this ship, such as power flow and active data lines." Helen communicated, as she continued her search, as she picked up the occasional shell casing which she stored in the plastic bag in her buttpack. "Oh, and please tag any small metal objects with metallurgical compositions matching known solid munition shell casings or projectiles."

Medical Center

"I can not make any guarantees, but I will bring your request to the attention of the Shôshô. I am uncertain of what our orders are for the immediate future. " Sune said.

Sune reviewed the growing data on his patient and was making a determination about what he could treat and what he could not. The strange small cybernetic items appeared to be some form of RFID, probably a means of tracking and identifying the Lorath slaves.

He took a moment to fire off a quick note to Hanako.
Shôshô,
Our Lorath guest is requesting transportation to the Occhestan colonies. As I have not seen what our next orders are I told him I would pose the request to you.

Although I think it might be of benefit to see how the colonies are doing. Other than there names, I could find no data in our databases.
Jalen-Shosa.

"As for your condition. I should be able to remove the collar and the other tracking items from your body. The collar is the most invasive but I have the tools necessary to safely accomplish it, and we do have a supply of Lorath medicines. So I just need your permission to proceed." Sune

Ayana-Class Cruiser

Tomomi's drones were unable to open the door to the computer room but found it appeared to be clear of any detectable traps. Upon opening it, she found the ship's computer was entirely missing! In order to get any sort of non-manual control of the ship, they were going to need a computer, and programming for it.

The ship's scan results were relayed to the team after several minutes of high level scanning. Charisma found all communication equipment had been stripped from the ship. The DNA of five Yamataians was present. There were no unexpected emissions from the ship. All weapons and ammunition had been removed from the ship, and there were a total of 5 spent .45 shell casings on the ship, of which Helen had already found 4.

Medical Lab

"I won't live life as a slave. You may perform the procedure." Bran'won nodded to Sune.

Recon Team

Tomomi blinked once she entered the room labeled "Computer Room". But instead of a computer to mess with, there was a gaping hole where the computer should have been. She placed her right armored glove on her faceplate and slowly pulled it down before messaging Takeyu.

Code:
It should not be surprising sir that the ship's computer has been stripped out. I am not sure how suitable the main-board and the processors are for controlling anything on this ship. But even if they can handle the load, I am missing many components such as memory modules and a hard drive for the programming. I will see what we can spare from the Eucharis.

Kurita-Hei

Recon Team

"What the..." Helen mumbled as she looked upon the scan results. There was no way, none what so ever that could explain the situation other than the crew shooting themselves and somehow gutting their own ship. A stray hair, skin flakes, any sign of DNA which would belong to whoever took the ship was simply not present. A lack of DNA, combined with only five spent shells. It produced an agitated grumble from Helen.

"Takeyu, this is Helen, routing sensor data to you. Some really unusual findings. Only five DNA traces, all Yamataian... possibly due to the use of power armor on the part of the raiders, only five spent .45 casings, and about your concern regarding transceivers of any sort, there was nothing to be found. This situation is too strange. I don't like it. I also don't like who our Shosho is buying from."
