Takeyu nodded toward Konoka while listening to Helen's report. "Huh... more than likely it's just the data-lines that are severed, they shouldn't be too difficult to repair provided we can find the materials or salvage some from another system," he turned toward the bridge door.

"For now, however, the Shosha would like us to attempt to restore power to the ship. Shosa, can you stay and prowl what systems you can for more information?" he asked.

Recon Team

"I can mess around around with the system if you think it will do any good to determine what level of MIKO is it talking about." Tomomi said.

"'Scuse me, Riko - Hei," said Konoka, poking her sample shovel at the dried blood he'd been tracing with his finger. "I gotta grab some of this so I can go all crime show on it in the lab later," she grinned, scraping some of the blood up and placing it in a vial.
"That should do it," she smiled, and then got out of the way. She hoped that the more technically minded folks could crack the ship's log and supplement her forensic investigation as to what fate had befallen the crew.

"Oh, I could stay here and poke at it all I like. Though, it will not do any good. Without MIKO, this console is useless. It is like one of our consoles being disconnected from the PANTHEON network, without even an IES to connect to." Helen explained, as she silently looked to Takeyu.

"Takeyu, I recommend we move to engineering, and the computer room. What better than to get the news on the systems straight from the horse's mouth? If anything, I think an engineer of your capability could get this bucket moving if there are still drive components on-board... perhaps, we could use the Eucharis' MEGAMI to govern the systems on this ship remotely?" Helen's suggestion was transmitted directly to Takeyu, to ensure none of his authority over the mission was trampled upon.

Recon Team

Takeyu stood there thinking as he listened to Helen. "We'll make our way to Engineering then, provided we can get main power online, we'll see about the computer room as well. We might be able to use the MEGAMI to prowl the systems, but I'm worried about the systems might have an unexpected surprise in them for anyone who attempts that," after sending his message he turned to the group.

"Ok all, there's not much we can do here so let's make our way to Engineering to see if we can bring main power online. Provided we can, we'll hit the computer room afterwards," he glanced up at the bridges ceiling to examine some damage that he could see and shook his head.

Then he turned toward the bridge door, or rather, what was left of it. "Konoka, gather what samples you can please, but we are headed out," he told her and started to make his way to Engineering.

Recon Team

On the bridge, the control panel was able to give them a map of the ship, showing the MIKO computer room and a systems bay was on Deck 2, and that Engineering was on Deck 3.

Takeyu found the lift system inoperative due to lack of power. The maintenance tunnels led down a ladder to Deck Two where there was a central corridor.

Recon Team

As Takeyu and the rest of the team began to make their way out of the bridge and to the ships engineering bay, Reika recalled the previous instruction she had been given by the engineer and remained behind with Konoka in order to protect the neko whilst she collected her blood samples.

The operative positioned herself by the entrance and waited patiently for the medic to retrieve what she could,so that the pair could catch up with the others. Whilst she waited, Reika considered the theories the others had concocted to explain what they had discovered aboard so far.

Surface

The recently-revived Occhestian, now free of his cryo box, wandered around in the rain, shivering, and looking up at the Eucharis hovering several meters off the ground. After a emerging from a state of confusion, he began waving his arms back in the intergalactic 'help me' gesture at the heavily-armed gunship. "Don't leave me, Star Army!" he shouted at the ship.

Recon Team

Tomomi resumed her point position with Natsumi. She redirected her drones to move in advanced of the team as they traversed the maintenance tunnels to the central corridor. She was not obviously not familar with the ship and seemed to second guess herself on turns towards Engineering.

Ayana Deck 3

Engineering was in shambles with one of the panels ripped out of the console, wires hanging all over the place, and the hyperspace fold module completely missing. the fusion reactors seemed intact but some of the compressed Helium containers had holes in them and were empty and the quantum foam generator was also removed. There was a blood stain on the floor.

In the central corridor there were also the crew bunks, which had been stripped of their mattresses and bedding, the crew lounge room (which had been emptied completely), and the laundry.

As Tomomi explored, she did not find any signs of traps, enemies, or survivors.

Recon Team

Upon accompanying the team to the engineering section, Helen left the console on the bridge to power down, since the reactor of her power armor was no longer connected to it. Once in engineering, she looked around and knew what she was looking at, even though she was not an expert in the operation of the components. "Looks bad." She spoke, as she eyed the damage, her eyes resting on the helium containers, and the link siphon equipment which was still present.

"Takeyu." Helen started, as she began to stroll through engineering, evaluating the damage. "There is a Link Siphon fed fusion reactor aboard this ship. From what I understand, there was a hydrogen container in the salvage that the Shosho picked up. I am not an expert, but do you think that it could be compatible?" Helen spoke in the form of the question, though, it did come off as something closer to a suggestion once more. Even though it felt like a suggestion, it was clear that Helen was putting this one on Takeyu's shoulders, since he was the engineering expert.

"Took everything but the kitchen sink..actually they pry took that to" Bors said as he looked around the engineering room, "Could of at least cleaned up a bit" he added looking at the blood smear in the middle of the floor. Bors checked out all the remainder of the room with his rifle, checking to make sure there were no hidden surprises.

Recon Team

"If it's not damaged in anyway then it can be of use, and if set up properly and configured just right, it'd take some time but it's doable, said Takeyu to Helen as he thought about doing just that, while glancing about the bay with a look of disappointment on his face.

"Anything not bolted down..." he muttered in agreement with Bors. He hated seeing the bay like this, but then, he was a technician after all and it always bothered him when someone would mistreat a engineering bay or room or anything in such miscontempt.

Thinking a bit more, he sent the following message to Hanako: "Shosha? In order to get the ships reactor online, we'd need a hydrogen container. If I recall, didn't we just salvage one a bit ago? If so, can we transfer it to this ship to install it?"

Eucharis Bridge

"Just a canister of it. You are welcome to it," Hanako replied to Takeyu on the radio. As she looked over the remaining cargo, she saw the naked Lorath guy waving his arms and got on the intercom. "Since the recon team will need more time to repair the Ayana escort, I am going to set us down again. There is one more person to rescue down there.

Hanako piloted the ship to slowly glide back to its previous position and gently lowered the ship down onto its landing feet. Once the ship was landed, she went headed to meet the other crew members in the cargo bay.

Cargo Bay

Mitsuko floated slightly above the floor of the cargo bay, to get a better look down the open ramp to the planet's surface. At least this would prevent her from sliding out if the ship made any sudden movements. She noticed the former prisoner's motions, adjusting her glasses as she took in the strange sight. "...oh my. That's certainly no chicken. Unless some can be much larger than that last one..." Murakami let her feet touch the floor again as the ship landed.

Recon Team
After retrieving her samples, Konoka and Reika followed the rest of the team to Engineering. She was no technician, so she tried to just stay out of the way while the experts figured out how to restore power. Then, she noticed another bloodstain on the floor of Engineering.
She pointed at it and asked, "Think I should take a sample of that, too?"

Recon Team

Natsumi looked around the engineering compartment, making sure to keep out of Takeyu's way. This was his world, not hers. She had no clue how to repair the ships power plant and knew any input from her at this point would just slow things down.

Still though, she hoped they would be able to get the system powered up enough to access the security system. She wanted to know what happened to the ship and it's crew, though she knew it was not going to be pretty.

Outside the Eucharis

Ramiro sat inside the Troll Tank, continuing to haul cargo between the two starships. After another round of towing some containers of to the Eucharis, he rolled back over to the Ayana and hopped out of the tank to begin going through the cargo to pick out his next haul.

At this point, Jonathan felt like a fifth wheel. His training was in blowing things up, not putting them back together. He had little do to beyond continue to maintain an eye on the various passages in and out of the wrecked engineering compartment. This is what he would be doing until otherwise instructed.

Surface

The Lorath man cautiously walked towards the Eucharis' open cargo bay door. "Please help!" he said.

"You may come," Hanako replied.

Moving out of the pouring rain, the man walked up the ramp. "What is this place? What year is it?"

"It is YE 33," the Shosho said. "Come, let us get you dried up and find you some clothing."
