Re: [Mission 19.3]

Medlab

Ayumi hadn't really formed any opinion on Izokia on the bridge, having simply taken a look at her and really not cared about anything else. As the other Neko spoke Ayumi turned around to look at her, though she didn't look the least bit interested.

"Then it will be important for me to know where the supplies are." She replied, her voice soft, but not nearly as enthusiastic as she'd been moments ago on the bridge. She continued to sort her way through the cupboard for a moment, until Izokia intoduced herself again. With this she turned around and bowed shortly. "Satonaka Ayumi, rank Santo-Hei, likewise a newly recruited medical officer. Please treat me well in the future."

One could have easily counted the seconds she looked at Izokia on one hand before she went back to her discovery of the medbay's supplies.

Re: [Mission 19.3]

Med Lab

Izokia moved over to begin her own work of prepping her med scanner and readying a few triage supplies. It took less then five minutes before she became unnerved by her companions silence. Determined to break the silence she quietly ask " You work well around here. Is this the first time you served in the field?" Expecting a short answer she turned to her notes before a thought hit her. "Not that I'm implying your inexperienced just the opposite actually." Almost angry at herself for making that connection she threw her face back into her notes to avoid the look from her fellow medic. Izokia dropped an almost sub sonic word of apology a few seconds later.

Re: [Mission 19.3]

Med Lab

Citrine entered the Med Lab at that moment, the blonde haired Nekovalkyrja walked into the center of the room.

"Well, it looks like my time here is done. I will be heading back to the Firebird, so you two will responsible for the Eucharis crew.

You should probably prepare to receive the current deployed away team in case they need treatment. I would also suggest that you start performing mental backups for all new crew members.

Take care." She turned and walked out of the med lab.

Bridge

Sune looked at the data Chieko was analyzing. "Make sure that you remove any FTl traffic signatures that are bound for the Poku Degonjo Saeruo or Hidden Sun Clan. Their territory is south of here. It is unlikely that any of their vessels would be going to a system with other species.

Once you complete your analysis. Transfer the stellar coordinates to the helm. That way we can fold as soon as Valencia-Juni returns to the bridge from the surface." he said to the science tech.

Re: [Mission 19.3]

Med Lab

Izokia bowed as Citrene prepared to leave "Thank you for all the help when I first got here" She flashed a small smile to the blonde Neko.

She turned and entered full duty mode and already began giving polite orders to Ayumi. "Would you mind prepping the rest of the room for the examination? I'm going to take the mental back up chair prep its sort of my area of expertise." She checked one last note off and moved to begin.

Re: [Mission 19.3]

Medlab

"This is the first time." Ayumi replied softly, turning to the bed behind her and placing a few rolls of bandages and a bottle of disinfectant on it. She glanced up at Izokia, sometimes she wondered if she wasn't able to feel self conscious or discouraged, she knew it wasn't true, yet nothing like this bothered her.

As the other Neko momentarily entered she nodded in agreement, turning back to the supply cupboard and pulling out a few more essentials. She turned back to Izokia, "I am not currently in possession of a medical scanner of my own, however I am completely trained to aid you in any procedures." She explained, picking up all the items she had laid out in her arms and moving to place them on the counter in the examination room.

Without further instruction she sprang into quiet, yet focused action, making sure the examination room was well stocked from the items she'd taken from the cupboards. She then made sure every bed was properly clean and laid out, just in case.

Re: [Mission 19.3]

Med Lab

Izokia completed prepping the chair and stood back still thinking in terms of work when she turned to Ayumi "would you put an announcement that if any new crew members want a mental back up they can come by medical at anytime?"

She began putting on her standard scrubs for her exam of the away team. Izokia attempted to continue her line of questioning from before Citrene came in by asking Ayumi "So what inspired you to become a medic in the first place?"

Re: [Mission 19.3]

Shuttle Bay

The Eucharis' Kuma T8 Multi-role Shuttle NG-X1-408-13 Golden Apple V arrived in the shuttle bay covered in red dust on the exterior and teal slime on the interior. Takeyu, Ramiro, Natsumi, and Sienna were back on the ship, and that meant the the last of the crew was now off of HX-12 II and the ship could leave the star system.

Re: [Mission 19.3]

Bridge

"The Hidden Sun Clan would be another detection like this between southwest and west-southwest, Chusa," the scientist replied, "Any of them crossing between us and the target area should resolve much sharper based on the sensor specifications as well. Not that I wouldn't mind getting to meet a few from what I have heard in the news."

Chieko then picked out the star closest to the centre of the signal, due south, that was still between orange and whitish-yellow and saved a set of co-ordinates within one or two light-years of it. She then went back to her satellite picture viewing of HX-12 II's surface as a way to look occupied until it was time to leave.

Please let me know if I'm reading the map wrong or the wrong map.

Re: [Mission 19.3]

Med Lab

Izokia got word that the shuttle had just landed she grabbed her scanner before Ayumi could get out answer to her previous question. "Sorry Ayumi but we need to get to them quickly." She was at the door when quickly in her normal silent voice she threw "sorry to be so forceful."

Shuttle Bay

When she reached the shuttle bay most of her momentum ran itself upon seeing none of them were seriously injured. Her she suddenly felt incredibly stupid for rushing down there in all of her excitement. With a steadying breath the red haired Neko addressed the away team. " I'm Santo Hei Orshira Izokia I'm here to see if any of you need medical attention or if not I can exam you for any complications that may have occurred on the mission." Now with the away team looking at her she was beginning to regret out pacing Ayumi.

Re: [Mission 19.3]

Ramiro was the first one on the shuttle ramp. Spotting a new crew member out of the corner of his eye, he flashed a smirk that remained hidden behind his helmet. He took extra care to bulk out the arms of his armor and end each, labored footstep with a loud stomp. Making his way down the ramp in this fashion, his helmet could be seen turning as his eyes scanned the entirety of the room. Just as he reached the bottom of the ramp, the gaze of his helmet was just reaching Izokia.

Assuming that this new crew member would be watching him the entire time, he purposely stopped all movement the moment his head was pointed strait at her, nothing of his face visible behind the pitch black visor.

After pausing for a moment, he turned his external speakers on and a deep, frustrated sigh could be heard coming from the armor. "What do you think you're doing here? This biosludge could be dangerous. You fool! You're going to get us all killed!! Out of here, I say, OUT!!!"

The booming voice from the speakers grew louder and louder as it spoke, until the point where the sound almost seamed to cause the ground to vibrate. As it spoke, the armor made wide, sweeping motions, before ending the screaming rant by taking three long strides towards Izokia and leaning forwards, screaming once more, "OUT!!!"

Re: [Mission 19.3]

Medbay

As Ayumi opened her mouth to reply to Izokia the other Neko rushed out of the room, she blinked after her for a moment, before turning to complete her preparation for the possible incoming injuries or worse. She made a mental note to ask the Shosho to requisition a medical scanner and medical kit for herself.

Meanwhile she pondered Izokia's question, determined that she'd be able to answer her when they had time again.

Re: [Mission 19.3]

Passage Way

Izokia on the first "OUT" leaped back and practically flew out the doors into the zero G passageway. She stopped her self almost instantly terrified of the massive crew member in the power armor and now guilty over not waiting for decontamination it was stupid of her and she knew it. Then she remembered that he may have been right she could be contaminated and just doomed the whole ship needless to say the thought did not improve her mood.

Med Lab

Moving at full speed she rushed into the Med Lab and dove into a containment cell. Once in she began to run a medical scan of herself looking for any damage the sludge could have caused.

Re: [Mission 19.3]

The girl was barely out of the room before Ramiro was on his back, rolling back and forth as he laughed to the point that he was gasping for air.

After taking five or six seconds he started to catch his breath and get up, a few chuckles still slipping their way through. "Seriously though. Charisma, old friend? Alert the rest of the crew that this bay is now under quarantine. Nobody comes in or out without proper protective gear. Also, make sure that new girl knows to head to the decontamination showers, not to come in contact with any other personnel, and to have herself scanned. Lastly, can you send in someone sciency to take a sample of this goop? Thanks!"

Re: [Mission 19.3]

Med Lab

After she caught her breath Izokia saw that she was indeed not affected with any form of flesh eating virus poison or what ever else her mind could slide into her current waking nightmare. She steadied herself and realized in her haste she hadn't even mad it into the containment cell. She received a message from charisma urging her to head to decontamination immediately. Now bitter over both her of instances of incompetence she moved at a brisk pace to decontamination where she began the entire process her face low and on the verge of tears.

Re: [Mission 19.3]

Medlab

Ayumi frowned slightly as her coworker flew back into the room and into the containment cell. She wasn't there very long before she was gone again, Ayumi was on the other end of the medlab.

She could tell by looking at her that the other Neko was exceptionally distressed, she wondered what exactly had happened, but she didn't want to delve into it. Now she knew she definitely needed to ask the Shosho about getting her own medkit, considering that now the only one who had a medical scanner appeared she was on the verge of a mental breakdown.

As the ship announced that the bay was under quarantine Ayumi realised what had probably happened. She wondered if she needed to decontaminate the whole medlab now. She was glad she'd waited to alert the system that people should come to get their mental back ups.

Re: [Mission 19.3]

Bridge

Chieko's ears pricked when she heard the quarantine announcement and sat up straight. After a pause and a sigh, she stood up and turned to Hanako, "Permission to investigate the cause, Shosho?" The young scientist had her rather focused game face on in an attempt to hide her excitement. Then the science request came, causing her to, as inconspicuously as possible, lick her lips in an attempt to diffuse some of the tension she felt.

Re: [Mission 19.3]

Shuttle

Natsumi was oh so glad to be setting the shuttle down on the Eucharis' landing deck. "Thank you for flying Air Yamatai" she said as she started shutting the small craft down. She powered down the engines, the powerplant and the rest of the systems. By the time she was done and getting out of the pilots seat Ramiro had already popped the hatch and exited. Natsumi was surprised to see someone enter the hangar bay as she herself slid out of the small shuttle and down the ramp to the shiny deck.

She frowned. She had sent word of their need for decontamination ahead and was not overly pleased to see someone sans hazard gear show up. She was going to say something, but Ramiro beat her to it and chewed the nugget a new one enough to send her zipping out of the hangar bay.

"Youre getting sludge all over the deck" Natsumi said as she walked up next to the now crippled laughing Ramiro. "Done? I wanna get this goo off my MINDY and get into a clean uniform and have something to eat"

Re: [Mission 19.3]

Having received word that there was food readily available in the ship's galley. Armundo decided that it would be a good idea and drop in and have himself a bite or two, having just finished aquainting himself with the medical bay.

Entering the galley as non descriptly as he could, he would help himself to a sandwhich or two, taking a unoccupied seat near the door, facing the enterance so he could see who was coming in or out. Rubbing his hands together, he'd lay into his first meal of the day with gusto, each mouthful only serving to remind him how terribly hungry he was. Thinking back, he remembered the meals that he had prepared in this very kitchen. It had been a while since he'd had a turn on the hibachi or oven..maybe he'd inquire about preparing a special dinner sometime..otherwise those carefully honed culinary skills of his would go to waste.

He'd tasted the Yamatain varients of native Nepleslian dishes and found them lacking. Granted, they were prepared for those with more..refined palates then he and he enjoyed Yamatain cuisine well enough, goodness know he had more then enough practice preparing it..but sometimes, he just had to have a cheeseburger..a REAL cheeseburger with fries..and fried onions..bacon..steak sauce..salty chips..

The sandwhich on his plate suddenly seemed quite underwhelming..Of course, a burger like that might outright kill a Yamataian...but it would be a glorious death. Armundo on the other hand..well..they hadn't tamed him that much yet...

Re: [Mission 19.3]

"Not until we know what it is," Ramiro said as he took a knee. "Trying to climb out of the armor while the goo is still all over it doesn't sound like the best idea, we aren't going to find a way to clean off the armor from here, and we sure as hell aren't tracking our way through the ship. Until we get some samples analyzed, I would much rather we stay put."

Re: [Mission 19.3]

Cabin 4

Mitsuko blinked as the announcement about the quarantine was made. "Oh my. I hope everyone is okay..." She looked down at the desk, reminded of the last time she'd been on the ship while things were going badly for an away team.
