'"Okay," Sora replied sweetly as she wrapped her arms around Serizawa and kissed him warmly on the lips. She was still feeling the need for some sort of physical contact with her lover, as she pressed her body against his in a warm embrace.

Hesitantly she pulled her lips away from his for a moment to speak. "Breakfast it is, oh, I'd like to test something, but it involves you eating larger quantities of fruit. would you be up for it?" She suggested very softly with a light blush on her cheeks.

Yuril noted the arrival of the ever important food and slowly slide herself over in the direction of place food. She noted the pair of crewmates whom somehow had been having what nearly looked like a... Competition over silverware placement.

How very odd. She was sure it was nothing.

Serizawa took pleasure in the kiss that Sora gave him, his arms curling around her lower back and pulling her into himself as much as she clung to him.

When the kiss had ended, the Yamataian man looked down into his lover's eyes with a stupidly-smug grin on his face and said, "Eat fruit? Okay, whatever you want, dear."

Truly, he had no idea what she wanted to know about what eating fruit would do to him but the fact that she wanted to 'test' it ensured him that he would quite enjoy her observations. On that thought, his hands slid down her back and grasped her behind, giving her a quick squeeze for his own amusement.

Having decided the Sprites could handle themselves, Kai sidled into a seat next to Yuril, and looked at her saying "hey, Yuril-chan, was that just the Shosa rushing through here a second ago? I couldn't tell, though i'm wondering why she had to cover herself with her arms..." the last part was more to himself than to his friend, but still loud enough for her to hear.

Miyoko didn't know whether to be glad or to try punching Sanjuro's head through a wall. On one hand, being reprimanded or punished for heaping sarcasm on a superior officer wouldn't be a good way to start the day--or the mission for that matter. On the other hand... to see him so impervious to the fact that he was driving her insane was infuriating. In the end, all she could really do was trudge on and hope that other people showed up to distract him before too much longer.

It's because of times like this, she brooded to herself, that it's probably a good thing that I'm no longer strong enough to hurl people a few dozen yards... Reaching the kitchen again, she loaded up the rest of the prepared plates on a tray, determined to get this done in one last load--after all, she couldn't tell Sanjuro off if her mouth was full.

'It'll be something good, I promise!" The young Ketsurui exclaimed before her blush deepened as she felt Serizawa goose her. She made a light squeak of protest before regaining her speaking voice. "Let's get to breakfast, Ichi-kun, before it's all gone," she suggested as she lightly tugged on his arm trying to lead him towards the door.

She wondered idly if he would remember to comply with her request throughout the day or if he would figure out what she was testing. She smiled brightly at her lover as she considered the possibilities if she was correct in her hypothesis.

Serizawa released his hold on Sora and allowed himself to be pulled by the crimson-haired neko to the door.

"Okay, okay, let's go eat," Serizawa relented when they reached the exit of their quarters. "Well, at least I've already got an idea of what breakfast was going to be like."

While, they made their way to the Miharu's wardroom, Serizawa pondered what his meal would consist of. Sora's request of him would alter what he had planned to have for breakfast. The original idea had been to have a couple eggs, a few slices of toast and maybe a cup of tea or coffee. He wasn't a heavy eater, especially not in the mornings, so he'd have to drop an egg and some toast so that he could work in some sort of fruit into his breakfast.

Sanjuro began to feel a bit remorseful that his initial observations about Miyoko were so critical. He didn't realize that she would be so accepting of his criticisms and advice...their first meeting gave the doctor the impression that she was the stubborn, non-caring type. What luck that he had someone working under him that would actually take his expert opinion...a first in roughly thirty-two former assistants, Sanjuro recalled as he thought back through his career.

As Miyoko took the rest of the plates away on a tray, Sanjuro trailed close behind, ever-observant. He spotted something almost immediately, of course...but it wasn't as crucial an issue as dish placement. That was serious business, while this, not as much. So much so that he almost considered not mentioning it...but, before he could shoo the thought away, Sanjuro remembered that she was genuinely overjoyed to receive his last pearl of wisdom...

Without another thought, Sanjuro reached forward with his hand, pointer finger extended, and touched the small of Miyoko's back with the tip, directly on the spinal cord. Speeding up his walking a tad to succeed Miyoko's own speed a minuscule amount, Sanjuro pushed forward slightly against the Yamataian's back. Not enough to knock her off her balance completely, but enough to produce a slight movement with her posture.

Miyoko, easy to startle under normal circumstances and now fairly tense with repressed rage, was not currently the best person to silently prod in the back. In her surprise, she yelped a noise along the lines of "GNK!" Her entire body twitched, jerking her upright and causing the plates to clatter as they almost bounced off of the tray. Perhaps fortunately for all parties involved, she was too absolutely perplexed by the action to immediately respond--and too busy adjusting her balance to try keeping the dishes from falling. Finally, as she got the tray into a stable position, hunched over awkwardly with a hand holding the side to steady it... and then turned her head toward Sanjuro, giving him a look of distilled What. The. Fuck. from the raging depths of her soul.

Sora smiled brightly at the other crew as she entered the wardroom. "Good morning everyone," she said rather cheerfully. "Do you need help setting up still?" She asked rather inquisitively, noting the meticulously placed table settings but blissfully unaware of the ongoing battle of wills between her medical personnel.

Sanjuro's eyes widened slightly as he witnessed Miyoko jump from his touch. An unexpected result. He continued to stare as Miyoko's back, well after she had stopped, slouched and turned her head to glare flaming daggers at him. After a minute or two, he finally caught wind of her noticing his intent on her, and stood erect for a moment as he explained.

"You have a slight posture problem when you walk," Sanjuro explained as he turned and pointed at the small of his own back, hidden behind the confines of his red silk morning robe. "You stress the extensor, flexor and oblique muscles of your lower back if you don't use correct posture. I was attempting to gently persuade your spine into the correct alignment."

She stilled looked a bit perturbed. Sanjuro decided to demonstrate again on her newly-acquired awkward hunched posture and pressed his index and middle fingers yet again against her lower back, hoping to get a straight spinal column this time around.

Yukari had managed to keep above everyone by floating by fast on the ceiling — it took a lot of her remaining energy, but she managed. She came down from it after Sora and Ichi had walked by, then went to her room.

Inside, she searched for anything to wash herself with. There was a cup of water, and she had one of her towels — that was enough to get the blood off her face, which was all she could worry about for that moment. Then, she took off her ruined underwear, donned fresh ones, and wrapped herself in a bathing suit and towel. The bruises were apparent on her legs, but if she was lucky, no one would notice.

She found the toiletries she needed and walked out to the wardroom, just in time to see Miyoko glaring at Sanjuro. She felt so tired ... too tired to deal with them. But there they were, and there she was, at the foot of the stairs leading back to the crew quarters.

"Good morning, everyone," she said in a noticeably weaker voice and with a small nod — until she saw Sanjuro press his hand against Miyoko's back. Her eyes widened, but she felt too weak to react.

Sora looked at Yukari a little concerned noticing the woman's pale complexion and tired sounding voice, "Are you feeling unwell, Suzuka-Shosa?"

"Good morning." Miyoko replied to the two women in flat, measured tones while picking a dangling shred of lettuce out of her hair--it was a product of the poking incident, no doubt. It was a welcome distraction from Sanjuro, since quite frankly she had no idea how to react to the man. Taking it as her chance, she simply walked away from him, setting the plates--whose contents were now rather sad-looking, some of the omelettes folded over themselves--in place. This time, she didn't bother trying to conform to the medic's standards, simply flopping the plates in the generally right area. Let him complain in front of the others so they can see how he is.

Yukari smiled at Sora. "I am fine, Kohosei; I did not sleep well. Tom can snore quite loudly." It was her who snored, supposedly, but she did not mention that.

"Is there a problem, Saito-Hei? Ashitaka-Heisho?" She approached the two calmly.

"The Shosa?" the neko paused for a moment to rewind her memory back a bit, then slowly shook her head, "I don't recall seeing the Shosa... But then again I was kind of looking at that wall over there." she paused to point at the wall next to the kitchen, "And I don't have eyes in the back of my head alas."

Yuril smiled and giggled. She had noted Miyoko and Sanjuro but was really at a loss of why Sanjuro had poked Miyoko in the back. A mystery indeed... Then another mystery when the Shosa did arrive and, although she was a bit out of optimal hearing range the neko did note her voice seemed to pretty... Soft. She mulled over what Kai had said to her earlier.

Covering her arms? Why would she be doing that?

Her limited knowledge of the Miharu didn't yield any obvious reasons for such a gesture... Injured maybe? But by what?

"She was just in here, and Ah, here she has returned. Hmm... she does look a little funny, but I don't know if it's normal. Well, I guess if she wanted us to know, she'll tell us." Kai said, looking at the plate that was just flung at him by Miyoko. He picked up a fork and inspected the omelette, and, finding it to be just that said "I believe they said we could begin eating, Yuril-chan."

"No, no. No problem." Miyoko gave Yukari a forced, manic grin that succinctly conveyed 'hell yes, there's a problem.' "Ashitaka-heisho merely surprised me." She started setting the plates down more neatly, not wanting to appear sloppy when being directly supervised by the Shosa.

Yukari let the towel shift around her shoulders. The idea she was out of place in her one-piece dark blue bathing suit did not quite touch her consciousness.

Her eyes found Sanjuro. "Ashitaka-Heisho? Is this so?"

Tom finished his cold shower, his skin red and clammy, his hair stuck on his back, where thin rivulets of water ran from the tip and down his back.

As he exited the shower, the Yamataian took his hair and whipped it over his shoulder to his chest, where he examined the strands for any tangles.

Silky smooth, as always.

The inviting heat of the bath was wonderful as he slipped into the bath.

"Good morning, everyone!"
