Chieko smirked at the apology, but accepted it graciously. However, when Natsumi asked her next question, the scientist paused for an imperceptible moment as it dealt with the very reason she signed up in the first place. Soon, she smiled and giggled.

"Some NMX thought it would be funny to drop a building on me when I was at school," the Academic replied, "I spent two days in rubble with my arms and legs crushed and a piece of re-bar through my chest. (You know, if it had been a few centimeters over, I wouldn't have made it.)

"Kind of ticked me off a little since it disrupted a whole school year on me, but I guess It helped me re-evaluate what was important."

The young Minkan spoke as if she were more entertained by that situation she had been in than scared. She did, however, held onto the sides of her chair to keep her hands from shaking as the memory came up. The smile seemed to fade slightly from Chieko's face, but then returned brighter and more confident with a sigh.

Medbay

Having completely expected Sienna to be the only one in the medbay, Ayumi offered the woman an apologetic smile and a short bow. She turned back to the alien in front of her, her head tilted to listen as he spoke. She noted that he did not seem at all aggressive, and was glad for that since the drones had completely worn her out.

Offering a bow to Jalen, Ayumi waited for him to finish speaking before she began again. "I believe a shower would be best for you." She replied calmly, gesturing over to the showers.

It was at this moment that the medic heard Misato groan. She turned to the woman with slightly raised eyebrows. "Is there something I can help you with, Itto Hei?" She asked softly, approaching the other Neko. Her limbs still complained slightly as she moved, though she ignored them and the discomfort was only visible to others by the slightest limp in favour of her right leg.

Cargo bay

Wonder how we are gonna clean up this mess...

Kale stared dispassionately across the cargo bay. The sinking had been slightly uneven and some of the items being stored had slid on the wet surface of the floor. Though the water had mostly been vented on liftoff pretty much every lower surface and parts of the walls were wet.

Wait a sec. does this mean that the sleeper module has flooded?

Treading somewhat carefully on the slippery floor the young technician reached the side hatch. Opening it he noticed that the inside was completely dry. Well I guess these were developed for planetary use right? Mores the better, I did not want everything to be soaked.

Thinking that now was as good a time as any Kale gathered his belongings and began to move them over to Cabin 3.

Jitter forgotten in the overall scheme of things looked on from the door of that cargo bay. Having been reprogrammed with basic domestic animal instincts it did not want to get wet and thus did not accompany the young minkan any further then the end of the passageway. The little droid hopped from foot to foot anxiously.

"Yes!" Exclaimed the alien, clicking the claws on its fingers together excitedly and turning towards where Ayumi pointed. "We will decide on the poking as it arises, if it pleases you. I have my own tanks, but alas, they could not be filled in the mist. Even some of the tanks being sold were contaminated."

"As for my name, I suppose you've done enough to learn the whole thing..." It spoke as it walked, and then opened the door to one of the refrigerators, staring inside for a few seconds before closing it and turning awkwardly and tilted its head. "I appear to be lost. If you would?"

Sune returned Ayumi's bow with a lesser one. He listened to the alien.

"Right, we'll let you attend to hygienic matters. Then we will have one of the crew run your tanks down for cleaning and refilling. What about your merchandise. Those lizards have any special needs?" He asked the alien

Cabin 5

With the last of the dead robotic parts removed from the ship, Deziarra returned to her cabin for a quick break. As she showered and put on a clean uniform, she felt a little deja vu. It was the same way her day began. She considered going to meet the alien, but the alien was in the crowded Medbay. Meeting the alien was not a priority so it could wait.

"Ouch" Natsumi said and glanced over at the Scientist, cringing at the thought of those kind of wounds. She had never been wounded gravely like that. "I'm glad you made it" she said. "Was it during the Battle of Yamatai?" she asked. She knew the capital world had been bombarded during the attack and a lot of major cities had been badly hit.

Medbay

Ayumi turned slightly to view the alien which had just opened one of her fridges. A slight frown appearing on her face, though for all intents and purposes it just looked like her face was neutral. She looked at him for a moment before gesturing to the showers again.

"They are in that direction." She replied. She had heard Sune asked for the creature's name, and yet it had not been offered. For a moment Ayumi wondered if this was some strange custom she had not been alerted to, the absence of name trading.

With the slightest of nods towards the alien, and a quick bow in Sune's direction, the medic turned back to Misato.

Medbay

Trying to keep her hands out of line of sight, Misato replay coolly, "Nothing at all, I'm fine." With out thinking she punctuated her statement by pointing at the the medic. "Well crap..." she muttered to herself once she realized she was in the habit of talking with her hands.

The academic nodded ruefully, "That it was. And yet, between the bouts of unconsciousness, I was less worried about myself and more about my family, my friends. It's surprising what one can worry about when all you have is your thoughts."

Chieko looked at her screen again, checking for pursuers, anomalies, the position of the Dreamworld. She sighed at seeing not much in unexpected change then looked back at Natsumi.

"It's the reason why I signed up," the scientist continued, "I've been helped and protected for so long by the Empire - I figured it was about time I showed my thanks."

Medbay

Ayumi quickly caught on to Misato's blunder, her gaze roaming over the wounds on her hand. The young medic looked momentarily alarmed, surprised at the fact that Misato did not want the wounds treated.

"Itto-Hei, I must urge you to allow me to treat your hand." She stated calmly, one hand folded neatly on her lap, the other itching to examine the other Neko's injuries. "How did this happen?" She added softly, completely confused since the drones had not had lethal weapons.

Ayumi's attention was turned directly to the young woman in front of her, genuinely concerned for the health of her team mate. "I am Satonaka Ayumi." She added softly, "So that you know who will be treating you." There was a short bow, and the heavy inference that Ayumi would not be letting Misato leave the medbay, despite her urgings earlier, without treatment.

With the fact that she was hurt out, Misato's eyes tracked form the medic to the XO. "Well Doc... I'm Misato Suzume.... You can drop the Itto-Hei, unless the Chusa feels like we should continue officially here..."

She forced a grin on her face. "As for my hands and a few other bits... I ran into a fire," She raised one of her bandaged hands up to stop any comments about how stupid that act was, "I was wearing this AIMES suit."

She motioned to the burnt suit still on her, "I was about to go planet side when we were attacked. Anyways the Armory caught fire and I had to pull flaming NSP batteries and chargers out of the bin that had all the plastic explosives."

She focus shifted to Sune, "Sir It would be awesome if some one would lean an formal investigation to the negligence that lead to the chargers being placed above the unsecured explosives." She frowned, she was a demolitions specialist, and was sure every time she accessed the explosives she replaced them back in to their proper lockers.

She turned back to the Medic, "So yeah the flames ate through the gloves and burnt my hands... It slowed me a bit, but the defense of the armory was key... I didn't want the intruders to gain access to it."

"Mimi... er... Ittô Hei Murakami, bandaged my hands up, before it took up position behind the heavy machine gun." she face warmed a bit, and blushed at the thought of Mimi-chan kissing her hands.

Med Lab

Sune listened to Misato. "I will certainly see about investigating the entire situation. The position of the explosives and why they were not properly stowed. As well as why was the Armory door left open during a combat situation. The Armory should have been secured. Just imagine the havoc if one of those drones got in and detonated the ordnance. "

Medbay

"Well Bors, Murakami and I were in there getting ready to head down to the planet and retrieve our guest here. Then we got ambushed. past that there was a lot of gun fire keeping them clear of the area, and trying to keep the Armory for the crew to fall back to to arm and regroup." Misato explained why the drone probably got in there. Though it didn't explain the explosives at all.

"I have a feeling You and the Shosho are going to deduct the wall panels from my pay that I messed up with the machine gun rounds. But I stand by my work, I kept the drones from taking the Armory and kept the corridor clear for any crew to join us..." She flicked her hands a bout to show a bit of frustration, "Though no one came to get weapons."

Bridge

Hanako returned to the bridge stood next to the center chair. "Because we did our recon and I have determined this is not a military matter, we are going to leave this for the scientists and diplomats. We will most certainly leave them with warnings and our observations, of course," she announced. "In the absence of any directives of fleet command, I think we should go home. Natsumi, plot a course to Hanako's World, with stops at HX-22 and UX-3 III. Chieko, I would like to you get that hard-light technology we got and see what useful inventions you think we can make out of it. It is down in the cargo bay. Consult with the technicians."

Cabin 3

Kale placed his bag on the bunk that was not in use and quickly unpacked and stowed his gear. Nothing had been damaged, which was nice, he had been afraid that the photograph of him and his friends on graduation day might not have made it. then again the ship hadn't really been overly affected.

That out the way I really should go start on the clean up of the cargo bay. Not like I have anything pressing to do at the moment.

"Jitter, sit." the robot sat "Stay. Good boy."

The technician then left the room heading for the cargo bay.

'Charisma? can you notify the quartermaster that there's a bit of a mess in the cargo bay and that I've gone to get started on the cleanup. Thanks.

Cargo Bay

Sighing somewhat exasperatedly Kale got on with stacking the boxes closest to the door.

"It is amazing where ones mind will go" Natsumi replied to Chieko. "I'm glad you came though okay and found a calling for yourself" she smiled at the scientist.

When Hanako came in and issued their orders, Natsumi's red eyes lit up at the mention if their final destination, Hanako's world. The beach resort world. "Yes ma'am!"

Through her spine connection she accessed the navigational system, plotting in their course to take them to HX-22, then UX-3 III then finally Hanako's world.

"Course plotted to Hanako's world by way of HX-22 and UX-3 III, ready to engage FTL!" she said cheerfully. Finally vacation after all they had been through, vacation!

Bridge

Chieko nodded in response to Natsumi's comment, then heard the door to the bridge open. She looked back to see Hanako take up position next to the command chair. Upon hearing where they were headed though, the scientist wondered what their destination would really be like, aside from what the advertisements seem to say.

The academic then acknowledged the orders given to her. "I suppose we seem clear enough," she commented to the operator before climbing out of her seat. Chieko gave the Shosho a deep bow, before making her way off the bridge.

Cargo Bay

Prior to entering the cargo area, Chieko sent a request to Charisma to highlight in her vision where the hard light technology had been packed. As she walked in the door, a harisen appeared in her field of vision and started to bounce toward where the boxes of the items were. The woman stopped as she just about missed spotting Kale stacking boxes.

"Ah, they have you fixing up back here?" the scientist remarked with a wolfish grin, "How convenient..."

Cargo Bay

Kale placed down the box in his hands. It clearly had a 'this way up' icon on the side but it had been tipped over by the flood. He could hear something rolling around inside as he moved it. 'Hope nothing valuable got broken.'
He didn't even notice Chieko as she entered the cargo bay. He jumped almost comically at the sound of her voice. He recovered and turned around.

"Oh, Hi there Chi. To be honest no one else deigned to come back here after all the excitement, and I had nothing better to do so I figured I might as well make a dent in the cleanup job." Kale shrugged, he was only trying to be helpful. "Anyway, what brings you my way? Surely it cant be the scenery." he said with a grin indicating the rumpled looking cargohold.

Cargo Bay

Mitsuko looked up from her work as Kale entered. He must have been the one to send the message to her and Victory, then. There was plenty of work to do, so she left him to his corner for now. She'd inspected the alien's luggage and placed it in the now otherwise empty sleeper module, then continued to assist the other Logistics Neko.

She looked away from her task again as Chieko joined him. It was nice to see the others pitching in. Her mood soured slightly as Kale commented on how 'no one else' was cleaning up from the incident earlier. She frowned at Victory through the AMES helmet she was still wearing.
