RP: YSS Eucharis [Mission 27, Part 2] Night on the Beach (YE 39)

Beach

Wazu would set the jar down in the sand between them, taking one of the cherries for himself and dropping it into his mouth. He'd bite the cherry in two, then let each peice get crushed by his molars before swallowing.

He considered responding to Masumi, considering the topic of who was pairing off with who, of how crew cohesion might affect the next mission, about how he had quite a few vices that he could bring to a party... but instead he just let those trains of thought fly right on by, leaning back a bit to watch the fire.

After all there wasn't much of a need to say anything.

He would return her smile, nod, and pick up one more cherry, tossing it into the fire and letting it 'pop' as the alcohol quickly burned off!

Karaoke Bar

Mehitabel let the music flow through her! As cheesy as that sounded, and as poorly in key as she stayed, the words matched between screen and her lips. The ship's clerk kept cool, swaying slightly as she sang until being squeezed by a totally naked neko. Her eyes went wide as she sung right to Freyja, "And something warm to come to, when nights are cold, and lonely~"

If she hadn't swiftly rationalized that her friend was just getting all touchy-feeley because she was drunk, and that getting her up on stage, considering how everyone from Yamatai treated casual nudity, would really only help her feel better. Her wing dipped into into the blue neko's hand willingly as Bel confessed internally that, it was the kind of carefree fun that she had been looking for since the winter holidays had begun...

When Freyja bowed, she bowed back, almost as deep as when she'd greeted Hanako for the first time, with her wings out in their glory! All of which failed to stop her petite, yet supernaturally engineered strong, shipmate from picking her up like a beer can! Getting scooped up made Bel gasp in confused surprise, though luckily she wasn't born away to Freyja's tent yet.

Freyja's Lap

"Yes! Maybe we could convince Natsumi-taii to set it up in the lounge, with, less alcohol involved," she agreed, snuggling in against her blue buddy for the moment, since the opportunity had presented itself. Tsuguka had rocketed off to save Jax from himself, Candon was being Candon... The pang of lonliness fluttered briefly across her heart before the champagne pushed it away again.

Shuttle

Jax winced as he watched Tugs go. Definitely not a great first impression. He'd have to clean up and try again some time later. Anything to assure her that this was not his usual MO.

Deciding to take her up on her offer, he began digging through her duffel bag for said toothpaste and cleaning supplies, casually setting aside a multitude of guns as he did so. He didn't judge. Some people just liked to carry around a duffel bag full of assault rifles! Personally, he was more of a rocket-launcher kind of guy...

No, he didn't have a rocket launcher in his bag. Such accusations were insulting. Who the hell brings a rocket launcher to a beach party?! Certainly not him!

But seriously, do not look in his bag. That would be rude and a serious violation of privacy.

On another note, he should probably move his duffel bag a good seventy five yards from the shuttle.

Jax pulled out some soap and toothpaste from Tsuguka's bag, he moved to the small bathroom aboard the Kuma. After relieving himself, he set about brushing his teeth with a brush he'd fished out from inside his own duffel. He checked his breath, and found it to be satisfactory! Now, to handle his body in general. There wasn't a shower on the shuttle... but there was an ocean. Hanako would probably rip him to pieces if she found out he'd poured shampoo in her ocean, so he'd have to forgo the soap. Not to worry, the smell of the ocean would be cleansing enough.

Beach --> Ocean

Jax poked his head out of the shuttle, looking back and forth to make sure no one was watching. When he was satisfied, he stepped out of the shuttle, hefting his duffel bag over his shoulder, which was making some very suspicious clanking noises. He turned away from the party and began trudging down the beach. When he was at minimum safe distance a far enough point to where he thought he would have some privacy, he shed his swim trunks, leaving him completely nude.

Was it weird he was starting to enjoy the feeling of being naked? He thought it was weird. Yeah, it was pretty weird.

Tail swaying side to side, he sauntered into the ocean and let himself sink, feeling his body being washed clean by the cool salt water.

Beach, bar

Candon would only smile as Freyja's mood picked up. The subtle telepathic influence wouldn't require any continuous work on his part, her mind had taken the telepathic suggestion. Really it was all a person could ever do, offer suggestions and hope they're accepted. His work was done.

He'd only sip his drink and enjoy the atmosphere.

Coming Ashore

Saiga-chusa stayed alone in the waves awhile longer after Hanako left. He hadn't an inkling of whether his words to her helped ease whatever pensive dreams were stirring around in her digital mind like the glittering whirlpools she'd been making in the water. But it didn't much matter, either, because he got to be alone again and drift around under the brilliant constellations shining down through the clear, dark sky. The old SAINT understood what it was like to spend so many years in the Star Army—not as many as the Shosho, but not as few as most others—one's highest accomplishments and lowest defeats tended to feel the same after so long and often weighed just as heavily on a soldier's thoughts.

Jax sank down into the sea a little ways away while Saiga rose up out of the water as the sand steadily inclined and became dry beach. Although the operative would have taken note of another person nearby any day, tonight he wondered if the catboy was there to meet with Becker, since Jax had (un)dressed to match his brawny colleague from engineering and was absent the Neko Freyja that'd been flirting with him. The false notion was almost endearing; Becker's red-haired strawberry to Jax's towheaded shortcake—if Saiga shipped things, that's what he'd call them.

But the Chusa didn't ship anyone and the idea only passed his mind because of that beer he'd shotgunned earlier, and his buzz was becoming something that needed to be maintained. So he ignored Howard-heisho from there on, just as he would were he stone sober, and plopped down next to his pile of stuff to look out over the vast ocean stretching out into the night.

His first order of business was to put his sunglasses back on. The kimono could wait until after his bare skin dried in the warm nighttime air. And the only thing that remained after that was to crack open the bottle of Delsaurian Dusk he'd nabbed and take a swig. Saiga would find his way back to the party soon enough and maybe hit on a Neko, or something. For now, he intended to just take a moment to enjoy the smooth, mellow liquor and remember the big ol' reptile girl who'd first shared it with him during the war.

Bonfire

Hanako plodded across the fine white sand and went to the bonfire, taking a seat one of the nearby log, which lit her up with an orange glow. She could feel the heat on her bare chest and the sea water evaporating from her shoulders, leaving a just-noticeable film of salt behind. After sitting there for a moment, listening to the singing with mixed feelings, Hanako popped back up and approached Ramiro's bar.

"I suppose I should ask, is there any chance you brought a blender?" Hanako asked. "A piña colada would be wonderful. It would pair well with the tropical beach. Then maybe we could do something like tell stories or play truth or dare."

Beach

Wazu was quietly disappointed, perhaps Hanako and him were just too far apart on too many things... it seemed quite clear where she came down on the blended ice vs 'on the rocks' debate. He would look over towards the bar.

"Ramiro, looks like it is your time to shine!"

Bar

"Ehhhh..." Came Ramiro's unsure response. He scrunched his face in thought as he scratched the back of his now-sand-filled head. "Can't say a blender was on my list, I'm afraid. I can get you a long island though. Or maybe a sex on the beach. We've got plenty of beach, I'd just need a little help with the other ingredient, " he joked with a wink. Usually he would be less crude towards Hanako, but the alcohol had basically removed what little filter he had.

After he spoke he began clearing up the bar a little bit. He placed any stray bottles back below the bar, dusted sand off the bar with his hand, and began depositing any dirty classes into an empty bag.

"I figured you'd prefer to start with the sweeter drinks to start with," he added, "but a little later there's a special bottle that I brought for you."

Beach

"Ramiro No!" Wazu laughed, leaving Masumi behind with the Cherries while he headed to the bar.

There were other considerations. Wazu was wondering how this would play out socially. If he would end up offending someone again. If his own judgement could be trusted given what was going on... but one thought was overwhelming the others in his head: Yamatain's could not even make ice without help! He would look over at Ramiro for a moment... fairly certain that this soldier was Yamatain... or at least some flavor of 'not nepleslian'.

Wazu would get a clean plastic bag out from the 'stuff' that they had brought, and then scoop a few ice cubes into the bag before closing off the top.

The next step was to get one of Jax's rum bottles... glass, heavy, with the indention on the bottom. Using the bottom of the bottle Wazu would start crushing the ice in the bag, slowly turning it into an icy slush.

"... I have heard stories about Hanako's legendary party games..."

Wazu would dump the ice into the shaker, and strain out the excess water. What followed was the Jigger, rum, pineapple juce, and coconut milk. A few shakes, and a creamy Pina Cola was poured out into an old fashioned glass. This was followed by a garnish of coconut whipped cream, a wedge of pineapple, a tiny umbrella, and a thin drizzle of chocolate syrup that clung to the cream that had settled ontop of the glass. Just enough to add a bit of flavor without adding that thick syrupy feel.

"... Maybe Ramiro should go first?"

From his perspective it seemed an appropriate punishment. Wazu would head back over towards Hanako, offering her the glass.

Freyja stared at the "stage" for a few minutes. Her fingers stroked Mehitabel's wings. She started to get bored, attention was starting to drift towards the Elysian on her lap. Her stroking turned into more of a massage slowly. "Your wings feel so soft." She told Bel.

Their proximity was starting to give her ideas. She kissed Bel's neck softly, then her ear, sucking on the lobe. Her ears suddenly perked up and she stopped. Someone had said the words "Truth or Dare". She identified the voice as Wazu. "No, no! Me first!" Freyja pulled her face away from Mehitabel's neck and shouted. "Come on Feathers-chan. No one is singing, let's play Truth or Dare!"

Before the Clerk could respond Freyja wrapped her arms around her, breasts pressed against her back. She floated a few inches off the ground and towards the others. They slowly lowered to the ground. It seemed she didn't want to let go of the Elysian just yet. So far it hadn't seemed like Bel minded very much or Freyja would have stopped clinging to her.

Beach

"Ah, careful please," she murmured softly to Freyja, less of a request, more of a pro forma reminder that she was a sapient being rather then a winged toy. Not that her wings were especially sensitive, they were, her drunken brain informed her, like 99% feathers anyway, which had no nerves to them. It was the base, near to the bone, where they were really sensitive, like, she thought absently, the inner thigh of a neko or a human... At least that was how it seemed to her. Mehitabel had never touched the inner thigh of another person, so it was hard to tell if the reactions were similar. All she knew at the moment was that it would be a pain to get the sand shaken out of her feathers in the morning, as they spread out beneath Freyja's touch.

It barely registered at first that she was being kissed, the action was so gentle and her skin tingling still with the buzz of her one drink. She was starting to think that it had been merely the drink, and that she could really use another, when Freyja started to toy with her ear. Biting her lip, Bel tried not to fidget in response... After all, Neko standards of appropriate physical contact were different! No doubt that was just friendly, drunk nibbling!

Freyja Airlines

"Mm, I believe it was Hanako-shosho that said Truth or Dare, Freyja-san," she said, lifting her head in preparation to disentangling and sitting upright for party games. That was interrupted in short order, by Nekovalkjyrie-based leviation, blue infantrywoman lifting her up in her arms like a doll or a kitten. Mehitabel was just buzzed enough to be entirely okay with such an action, resting her head back against Freyja's chest. Her perfectly functional wings hung loose, letting the wind clear some of the sand grains from them.

Bel added in short order, disconnected in thought and word, "Whoever it was, that sounds like a delightful idea to enjoy each other's, company."

Beach

Freyja put Bel down in her lap and turned onto her side facing the campfire. She gestured for Mehitabel to spoon with her, lips pouty and tail slowly moving. The Neko had realized she was being a little too clingy. She still wanted to cuddle, though. There was also a mischievous feline look in her eyes. She was starting to get ideas of being more than friendly with her feathered friend. Her buzz was wearing off, but she was still feeling very affectionate. She wondered what she had done to spook Jackson so much. Maybe he doesn't like girls, she thought.

Beach

Mehitabel nodded slightly, obligingly laying down next to Freyja, with a protective shield of feathers against the neko's chest. Had she been better able to see in the shadowy firelight the amorous look her blue friend was treating her too, the Elysian might have been less compliant. As it was, Bel thought about how no plan survived contact with an opposing force. Even if it was for a social occasion and the opposition was her own crew. In all fact she had expected to spend it as Oshiro-hei was, enjoying the night, the drinks, and the beach. Perhaps friendly conversation with her friends... So far, drunken karaoke and being a safety blanket for Freyja seemed to be taking that time up. Not that, she had decided, that turned out to be any less pleasant.

Beach - Ramiro's Bar

Natsumi leaned agaisnt the edge of the bar, sipping at the drink she'd been given, smiling as the liquid warmed her inside. She took a deep breath and downed the remains of her glass and set it down on the bar-top. She grinned and looked out across the beach and at the calm sea beyond.

"I feel like going for a swim" She announced. "Anyone want to come with me?" she asked as she pushed away from the bar and stretched her arms over her head before removing both her straw hat and colorful sun dress, leaving her in her red and white striped bikini. She set the dress and hat aside and kicked off her sandals, then started barefoot towards the surf.

Beach - Ramiro's Sand Bar

Takao sipped the last part of his beer and sat the empty bottle on the bar for Ramiro to properly dispose of. He looked at Ramiro with a smile and nodded, "Thank you very much, You know how to warm up the downtrodden." He then looked to Natsumi, and stood up from his stool to give a small bow, "Permission to accompany you, Taii-san?"

The veteran Kohosei lifted from his bow with a smile still locked on his face, his hair becoming slightly unkempt due to the wind and weather as well as the informal gathering that this was.

Natsumi smiled at Takao, pausing her advance on the surf.

"Please do" she replied and grinned. "Though we are not on duty, so call me Natsumi" she added, then was on her way to the water again.

Beach

Takao nodded and began unbuttoning his shirt, then his pants to end up in the Type 38 exercise shorts and nothing else besides his toned body and slightly tanned skin. Takao, despite looking like a Kohosei college student, looked veteran in his own rights, and had been around the sun a fair while.

"Hai, Natsumi-San." He increased his cadence to stand ever-so-slightly behind her and matched her steps towards the water. He smiled before looking to the Executive Officer again, "This planet is always immensely beautiful, from both space and from the eyes of those who stand on her wondrous shores."

Beach

"It is a beautiful planet!" Natsumi agreed.

And she meant it. Every time she had visited Hanako's world she had been awe struck by the world's singular beauty. It never got old, or overly familiar and average with time, either. She grinned as her feet splashed into the warm water. It felt good on her feet and she laughed as she waded into the surf

Beach Bar

Candon was relaxed, standing with his eyes closed as he simply enjoyed being with the crew...
Damn, I'm getting old.
A laughable notion to most people, the man was only 16 and his body only 2 years old but no amount of body swaps would change the damage to his soul. He was getting tired, played out, and just plain exhausted of the burdens he always carried. Many weren't even his.

But his plans had been set into action before his leave had ended and he could at least be confident that the start of FSCorp would be under way without any need for his own hand. Not that he would be able to do anything anyways. It seemed that more and more he'd been having to force himself to let others take care of things rather than simply doing it himself. He could trust that no force would stop the momentum he'd given it.

"You might miss the game, Natsumi," Candon reminded, not that he thought she'd forgotten. Setting his glass back onto the bar he looked to the man of booze, bringer of relief and remover of stress… so much stress.
"Could you fill me up with even parts, brother?"

Masumi looked from one group of people to another, then back at the fire. She missed the music and wanted to hear something beautiful sung or played, but there was nothing to be heard by her pointed ears. She crossed her legs and began humming pleasantly to herself before looking at the new medic.

"How are you?" Masumi asked of Tan Ann Pan. She picked up the jar of cherries and held them up to the dark-haired woman that had spent her fair share of time in the mean streets of Funky City. "Have one. They're very good."
