RP: Yome Ismâopate Mission 3.0 – Avenging the betrayed (Pilajo yleg’te )

Yome Ismaopate

Murr and her partner continued on their rounds through the ship once the maintenance panel was given the all clear and secured by the tech. It was typical moving through the rest of the patrol, with minor infractions that were dealt with on the spot due to the rest of the crew bringing the ship alive again.

Cargo Hold

Rounding corner and entering the Cargo Hold, Murr gave Alpin a discrete wave, seeing his brother busy with the Alien. From the physique seen, it was female. Similar to a Yamataian Cat-girl Soldier or ship crewpersons. She looked up at Qaktoro that was with her. He looked down at her and shrugged. She was wearing WAP uniform and had the ship patches.

Murr quickly checked her meeting notes. She nodded as this was one of the Aliens that Security Chief gave at the briefing. It was time to get the stragglers moving in the right direction. The lounge was designed for such meetings not the Cargo Hold as crew around them were finishing up getting cargo stored.

~~Time to get scary~~ Murr thought to herself as she and her partner approached Yanga, Alpin and Toha. Murr glared at the Brothers and Toha as she came into their view. She puffed herself up, making herself look bigger than she was.

She waved at them to get them moving out of the Cargo Hold. It was weird when she felt hostile towards the Alien Female. An outsider joining the exclusive club of Pokus and all that was Sacred, on board her ship?!

Murr glared at the Alien Female, sizing her up. She still made the 'move along' motions with arm and paw, while the other dropped to her service baton. She felt the Qaktoro big paw on her shoulder with a whispered, "Chill out Sar Whisk. Give her a chance, just like the Tin'toa and the rest of the crew did with you."

Murr came to a complete stop as she realized that her partner was right. She had been given the benefit of the doubt many a times to get this far instead of being turned down and sent home with her tail tucked in.

Toha turned to Murr with no trace of intimidation, "Is there a problem Sar Whisk. The Tin-Ta'a instructed me to help anyone who came in after the giving of our oaths. If you have a problem with that, I am sure he will understand your having me abandon my assignment." She noticed another ground glider bus approaching.

Toha turned and walked to the rear of the cargo hold and waited.

When the Saâdor Ikâ came to a halt, Keyul Aaeas and his two charges dashed from the vehicle carrying their bags to the ship. The actual distance they had to dash through the rain was not significant, but the downpour soaked them almost instantly.

When he walked up the ramp he saw Toha. "Greetings Sar Keyul Aaeas." She handed him and the two baqli each a large towel. "Compliments of the Tin-Ta'a. Dry off then secure your gear. Crew members should report for briefing as soon as possible." she added.

:: Cargo Hold ::

If it weren't for her partner and Yanga and Alpin being there, Murr knew she would be in a cat-fight with the Alien. She turned with a sharp exhale and stalked out of the Cargohold. She couldn't believe the hostility that boiled within her and the way she was blown off (at least to her perspective). Never mind Toha was following orders.

Her partner looked apologetic at Yanga, Alpin, Toha and Keyal with the two Baqli, "I don't know whats gotten into her." Then he dashed after her to catch up. "Dammit Murr! What in the Seven Fleas that gotten you so riled up?!" He grabbed her by the shoulder to slow her down and get her attention.

:: Corridor ::

Murr spun to face her partner, glaring up at the taller Qaktoro. With sharp motions of Paw-Speak, ["Why our ship? We have a very good crew that's coming together just nicely."] She breathed sharply to show she was upset, ready to fight at the slightest provocation.

Qaktoro just chuffed a quick snicker at Murr. "I don't know, Murr. I feel the same way. But they are part of the Poku now according to our briefing. And... We'll ... treat them as if they was one of us." He gave Murr's shoulder a squeeze. "Lighten up. We all got pre-flight jitters." He jerked his head to resume the patrol.

Murr nodded sullenly, turning away and moving on with the patrol. Even though she was alert, she was in deep thought analyzing her feelings. And all of the times where she had blacked out and couldn't recall brief moments of her Shore Leave.

Maybe she should go have herself checked out with the Medic. She never gotten so easily riled up before. It tweaked her. Getting the attention of her partner, she pointed down the corridor to the ship's Infirmary, then to herself.

Qaktoro looked at Murr thoughtfully, then looked at his watch. He called their Chief. "Chief, Sar Whisk needs to see the Medic. Could you send another to meet up with me to finish out the shift with?" He looked at Murr as they awaited for the response.

"Tell her, she'll have to cover for the replacement we pull back onto duty." Chief's voice emitted from her partners radio.

"Afirmitive. I'll have her report to you when Sar Whisk is released from the Infirmary." The Qaktoro replied as he nodded for Murr to take off.

Cabin 10

After a quick study of Taeto, Memi smiled. "Oq, oq..." He chimed, finishing the last bit of tucking, he had missed a bit on the back leaving a duck tail. "You are welcome to come and have a seat, Can I get you anything? I have some Damuisa here." He motioned to one of the bunks, a rack of cans bookended a set of book. "Of I can order something else..." He pulled out a chair for her before stepping back around the table. "What can I do for you?" he finally asked, curious why the ship would need another chronicler.

Wapoin Ruosa -> Cargo bay

La'tâ had finally sorted through all the medical supplies on the ship, and taking inventory herself. She even made a diagram and left it on the computers that showed where everything was located. Normally she'd have moved everything back to where it should be, but there were a few new medications and tools. At first she was confused by this, but when she saw the new medical records on the ship she understood why. There were going to be Niko Yârme on board, nekovalkyrja who had become part of the clan. This would present a bit of a medical challenge but she was more than ready for it.

After sending a notice to all medical staff's personal terminals about the new medical procedures related to the Niko Yârme she got up and headed to the cargo hold to investigate, that is after all where most of the new people will gather so it's where she should start.

Upon arrival she saw that she made the right choice, she could spot one of the new Niko already, however she could also hear one of the crew calling for a medic, so La'tâ changed her destination and headed over.

She was a bit surprised at what she saw though, it was Murr, who she had already become quite familiar with medically. "Sar-Whisk? I know that injuries are bound to happen and I do enjoy your company, but it is not good that we meet in a professional capacity so often, the body can only take so much abuse even when healed."

Wapoin Ruosa

Murr just tapped her head and then her heart. Then in gentle Paw-Speak, [ "Even though I sustained no injuries during Shore Leave. Unless drinking to excess, dancing with a bunch of handsome toms, shopping, walking around is injurious to me. Then I sorely need you." ] She smiled warmly at La'ta.

Then she continued in Paw-Speak, [ "I been plagued with total forgetfulness during my Shore Leave. And been on edge ever since. I always remember stuff once the booze wears off. Now the new Aliens ... It feels like they are invading my turf and I want use them as a scratching post." ] She looked at La'ta very concerned. [ "I'd die for this crew and everyone aboard. Even if it was an Alien.. I mean Niko Yarmes. You know me, Sar La'ta. It takes a lot to set me off."] Murr remembered her briefing of what Toha Species was called.

Wapoin Ruosa

La'tâ finished escorting Murr to the infirmary and sat her down on the bed to listen to what she had to say and then gave a nod. "There is no reason to be concerned about the Niko Yârme, they decided to instead of returning to their home, become part of the clan, it's a great thing that they can serve on this vessel after we had saved them." As for the rest of what Murr said La'tâ had taken some notes while she was speaking and then looked back to her.

"Now you say you are having trouble with memory? Does this only happen when you are indulging in alcohol or does it happen more frequently? Also how regularly were you consuming alcohol on leave?" Before Murr could give an answer, the wapoin'a had already started a scan and was prepping a syringe.

Wapoin Ruosa

Murr looked thoughtful as she complied with La'ta and gotten comfortable on the bed. After a few moments of thoughts. Using Paw-Speak, [ "I know of one time where I didn't consume any alcoholic drinks and I stopped for a bite to eat while shopping. But then couldn't remember anything else. Woke up in my hotel room. Which happened just before being recalled to the ship."]

She sat there gloomy. then continued with Paw-Speak, ["Then a smell triggered something but it was just a few snippets that I couldn't fully grasp. Maybe I was head damaged in the various concussions I have received finally catching up." ]

Cargo Hold

Yanga peeked over his paw to look at her hand, so tiny in comparison. He was busy marveling over this new crew mate so he didn't notice Murr and her companion arrive. Alpin did and when he noticed Murr start puffing up he puffed up as well, steping sideways towards Murr and turning to meet the pair.

Fortunately their new crew mate could stand her own and when she left Alpin and Yanga both padded over to where Toha had joined Keyul Aaeas and the pair of Baqli. While Alpin turned towards Aaeas, Yanga lowered his head to murmur a soft "I'm sorry about Murr. I don't know what's biting her tail. I'll talk to her about it when we have some down time." He gave her a brief flash of his teeth.

Alpin managed to drop most of his remaining puffy-ness and gracefully dropped into a crouch to give the pair of baqli a smile. "I hope you enjoyed your stay on Âmuar." He straightened up again to meet Aaeas's eyes "Would you like some help getting your bags to the appropriate places Sar Aaeas?" Yanga of course took that to meant he was grabbing their gear and padded off to do so, shouldering one bag to each shoulder and returning to his brother.

Wapoin Ruosa

La'tâ took the syringe and pricked Murr, drawing her blood. "Well the scan will finish up soon and we'll see what's wrong, but for starters, I'm going to have to say that you should not consume any alcohol during this mission. It's sounding like you've had more than enough over the last few days. Hopefully you wont go through any withdrawals." She walked over to a lab station and began processing the blood sample.

"You should not wait when these kind of things happen, it'd have been better to get treated at a proper hospital, they have better facilities and can handle more sever situations."

Wapoin Ruosa

Murr nodded whole heartily in agreeing as she waited till La'ta was finished with the drawing of her blood sample. She followed La'ta to remain in her view so she could use Paw-Speak. [ "Couldn't let my brother Rawl hog all the glory in being the only one with war stories of misconduct while on shore leave... Did you have a good time on Shore Leave?" ] Being thoughtfully polite inquiring. [ "At the time I thought it was the effects of being exhausted and booze at the time and that my memories would return." ]

Wapoin Ruosa

La'tâ returned to Murr and looked over the results of the scan now that it had finished. "I had a pleasant shore leave. I got to spend some time with good friends, and check up on a mother and child I helped through birth just before the maiden voyage." She avoided mentioning the results of the scan and then went back over to check the blood.

After a moment of silence she turned to Murr. "Sar-Whisk there are traces of Jodau Fofipa in your system. It is a drug used to erase memories, and it is not something readily available... I am going to have to make a report to the Tin-Ta'a. It is likely that your memories have been illegally altered...and it's likely that you've gotten involved in something as well."

Wapoin Ruosa

Murr eyes widened having heard snippets of information on the stuff. She paw-spoke, [ "Is there a away to counter it? I may have been hypno-ed so that I hate anything that's not Poku! Am I pregnant and the tom that sired it is trying to get out of raising it? I'll have to inform my parents and I'll be a disgrace to the family. Not to mentioned being relieved of ship board duty!" ]

Murr deflated even more, looking very sad as her ears just plain wilted along with her tail drooped to the deck. She moved slowly to sit on the bed again. In her minds eye, she sees the little Yome Ismaopate sprout little wings and flap away with the crew leaning out little windows waving bye-bye to her.

Wapoin Ruosa

La'tâ walked over to Murr and placed a hand on her shoulder, sitting down beside her. "You show no signs of pregnancy and you are not going to be relieved of duty. I might not know much about hypnotism so we'll have to find someone else to check that." La'tâ moved her hand to Murr's back and rubbed trying to cheer her up.

"This is not your usual Jodau Fofipa, this kind is only used by Degonjo Ta'a due to it's side effects of aggression among other things, main stream medicine abandoned the use of it when a new formula was derived. However...I know a little something about this drug and I can restore some of your memories, I can't promise all of them though...but you're fortunate to have people who know this kind of thing on the ship."

Wapoin Ruosa

Murr accepted the comfort as she listened to La'ta. She was relieved that she wasn't pregnant. She took a deep breath as her spirit returned to her, causing her to straighten up and ears to perk up. Looking at La'ta and nodded.

She Paw-Spoke, [ "Begin treatment at once. I don't need anymore enemies than I already have. I want these Poku brought to justice! I'll help in an way I can."]

Life returning to her as she drew her personal knife and held it out before La'ta with one paw hand, [ "I, Murr Whisk of Paqya'jo Poku Vit, My blade is only a call away to your defense and protection, La'ta Qoji of Qoji of the Muiqor" ] A Blade Oath to show how serious she was and appreciated in having La'ta around. [ "Healers are to be protected and you have mine unquestioned." ]

Cargo Hold

Keyul looked at Alpin, "Thank you for your assistance. Kindly take them to the Temple room. I'll put them in my quarters once I see these two to their cabin."

Toha listened to Yanga, "Thank you for your words. There is no need to speak with her. Some people do not handle change well. We have often encountered similar reaction by some of the others in the WAP. I take pride in being here, I earned my citizen status, and chose to serve to protect the Clan."

Memi's Cabin

Taeto looked around and smiled at Memi, "Damuisa will be fine. My responsibility is to record the activities of my squad when we are deployed. I wondered how you chose to record the exploits you have participated in."

Across the ship came the Tin-Ta'a's voice

"Attention crew we have lifted off and are accelerating along our escape vector. Once we have reached the safe range we will engage our tunnel drive. We are headed towards a planet that command believe is where those who attacked the Âmuso Ibâka. According to the ship brain that Memi salvaged we have the coordinates. A portion of our cargo space has been converted into a space for our Stako. We are also the first vessel in the fleet to be fitted with a Kytaro Qyatu. We will most likely use this new technology to deploy forces on the surface of the world without entering the atmosphere."

La'tâ was a bit surprised at the sudden oath but then offered a warm smile. "I'm honored by the oath Murr, but for now we need to focus on you, not me." Though she could take care of herself, she was not about to reject someone's oath and dishonor them. "However before I begin treatment, I need to contact the Tin-Ta'a and Wapoin'asa Jaqsi. This is a delicate matter." After saying such La'tâ moved to a terminal and sent a message to both Jaqsi and the captain.

Message said:
Tin-Ta'a, Jaqsi Wapoin-asa, there is a medical situation that needs to be discussed with you both. In short Sâvyjo'sa-Whisk has returned from leave experiencing symptoms that lead me to doing a check up. I discovered traces of the Jodau Fofipa from 20 years ago. I would like to begin treatment to restore as much of her memory as possible, but I suspect this was the work of a Degonjo Ta'a and beleive it merits attention.

Wapoin Ruosa

Murr nodded her approval as La'ta explained what was needed to be done before she could begin treatment. Murr put away her blade. At least now she had proof that she wasn't going totally defective and needed to be put down for the final rest. Now she worried if she was going to be pulled from duty when every paw and hand was going to be needed. And what secrets she had divulged when ordered not to. Specially to the wrong people posing as friendlies in a crucial time.

She felt soiled where water and soap couldn't reach. Feeling she had betrayed the Crew and Ship, she served with. Now it was imperative she undergo treatments to restore her memory to bring the culprits to justice, even if it meant she would go home in disgrace for being naïve. She would have to shine in this last mission to prove once again she was a trustworthy loyal crew to her friends and fellow crew alike from the Tin-ta'a down to the lowest of the lowest crew aboard the Yome Ismaopate.

Her mind replayed the announcement from the Tin-Ta'a, at the time La'ta was speaking to her. Now she had the time to recall it as La'ta informed the Tin-Ta'a and Wapoin'asa Jaqsi. She was looking forward to see what this mission would bring. Maybe she would go out in a blaze of glory against those Armored Behemoths she had faced aboard the Amuso Ibaka.

After sending the notice out, La'tâ began to collect a few medicinal use chemicals from the cabinet, then out of her personal bag that she brings to the infirmary a few herbs. She put sopme of the components into a mortar and pestle and then added a leaf from the Jodauvit around her arm. "I did not expect that I would be making this while on the ship." She begins grinding up the ingredients. After all it's pretty easy to notice when the old serum is used..I guess they didn't have access to anything better, which is good for you Murr."

Wapoin Rousa

Murr seeing the Jodauvit on La'tas arm, smiled softly. She fingered hers that Mali had given her. She focused her mind and using the Jodauvit tried to project her thought to La'ta. ~~"hi?" ~~ Unsure as she sat there watching and listening to La'ta with mixed feelings.

On one paw, she didn't want to remember if the culprits were caught, she could claim having no memory of such encounters with them, if she was called upon to face the Courts of her involvement with the Culprits.

On the other paw, Murr hated having blank spots in her memory and the sudden hatred against the Aliens that were now part of the Ismaopate crew. She wanted to have an unprejudiced encounter with them to get to know them better before making any judgments either for them or against them based on their merits, not being different than what was norm. She knew the feeling of unwarranted prejudice she had to face while progressing to this place and time.

She exhaled softy in the manner of a sigh, warring with herself over the mixed feelings she had. But it was to late now that she had gone to the ships infirmary to address her problem. All she could do now was come forth and be helpful in any way she could. Being helpful as a responsible for her actions.
