RP: Yome Ismâopate Mission 3.0 – Avenging the betrayed (Pilajo yleg’te )

As the Yome Ismâopate continued to climb and accelerate its sonic boom was unheard by those on the ground. On the ship it was heard as a dull thump. As the ship's altitude increased so did its velocity. It shot away from Âmuar and transitioned to Tinvymai Tyokame it accelerated to .2c and altered course to the point where they would make their first tunneling.

Jaqsi entered the Wapoin Rou'sa at a brisk walk. She had been prepared to have to deal with the usual assortment of recreational mishaps and injuries. One of the crew having been drugged and their memories stolen definitely did not fit into that paradigm.

She walked over to the diagnostic equipment and reviewed the data. It was clear that La'tâ had properly diagnosed the situation. 'Who would do such a thing and why? This is a high crime, and the guilty party could well face death or banishment. ' she thought. Turning to the two junior crew members. "Well, it seems we have a troubling mystery. You need to understand Murr Whisk that even with the restorative that Sar La'tâ is preparing. Much of the events that were erased will be unrecoverable. Because they will very likely have been overwritten by the memories of what you have done since you awakened. And even if they haven't, they will be fragmented and sort of like trying to watch a recorded message that has been damaged by an EMP surge. Hopefully if Siamaka is kind we will get enough of them back to figure out who did this, and what where they after."

Qaedal walked quickly into the Wapoin Ruo'sa as Jaqsi made her statement to Murr. He looked at Murr, then at Jaqsi and La'tâ, "Can we come up with a window of when this occurred based on the break down of the drug?" he inquired.

He turned back to Murr, "Do you have any idea where you might have been when this happened? An anomalous event or memory would help in our investigation."

When Senior Officers made an appearance, Murr felt like a kitten facing the tribunal of her parents or Instructors for something she did very wrong. She nodded solemnly to Jaqsi when finished speaking. Then Qaedel entered shortly after Jaqsi finished speaking. Qaedel made her/his presence known by speaking.

She began typing on her wrist computer furiously, then activated the holo-graphic speech balloon, minus the pointer tail. It had the time starting with the second episode, totally spacing out the first time it happened, blowing it off as a new experience of having unsupervised fun with alcoholic drinks and exploring her new found freedom as a legally recognized adult that had gone through the Rituals. With naivety of a first timer, Murr did over do it at times in moments of having great fun.

Poku Claw was the place she had rented a room along with the room number. There was a list of places she had visited with a rough time frame. Of course there was a few places that was missed due to the fact she was hit with the drug being ingested, but always ended up in her room at the Poku Claw in various level of being dressed, but never left naked. Those times of memory loss was also listed, just to be on the safe side. She was just as meticulous as if she was writing up her after action reports for the debriefings after a mission.

When done with the display, she looked at the two Senior Officers, awaiting their judgment. The Display hung in the air, letting all present take their time to read which she had clearly remembered. She was thankful in having done a memory dump of her wrist computer before going on Shore Leave.

La'tâ gave a nod to Jaqsi at her arrival and continued her work, now pouring the the extraction from the ground up elements into a fluid mixture of the remaining chemicals. She was checking her measurements at every step, but she appeared rather confident in her memory of the instructions, like she did this before. "My guess is someone wanted information that she could give as a soldier."

The Tula finished with the medicine as the Tin-Ta'a walked in. "An estimation of time? Hmm it's possible, but we need to know the most recent gap in her memory to make an estimation. It wont' be exact though." She then moved to hand Jaqsi the test results so she could look at them. Afterwards she filled a syringe with the serum.

"This would best be injected into the neck."

Wapoin Rousa

Murr tilted her head in the direction that La'ta would indicate for her to have access to her neck. She waited patiently for the verdict from the two Senior Officers. Giving them time to read what she had displayed for them to read and look over. She was ready to respond for the questioning she knew would soon follow once La'ta was done and the chance for the serum to work.

To pull a Tin-Ta'a from ship duties was almost a sure sign that her career with the Yome Ismaopate was going to be looked at very closely, reviewed with suspicion from this point forward. Once again, she was in the limelight and again to prove herself loyal and trustworthy. They knew her capabilities as a soldier and an explosive expert.

She carefully removed her shipboard weapon and baton from their place on her utility belt and held them out to the two Senior Officers to show she was more than happy to comply with their wishes.

La'tâ made her way over to Murr and injected the serum with relative ease. The serum would show effects quickly, but it would take time for it to restore most of the lost memory. The problem would be sudden restoration of memory often causes confusion and panic, and since the serum was not for countering the aggressive side effects either La'tâ had added a light sedative to the compound as well. Nothing that would put her to sleep, but it should help her keep her head level as possibly enraging memories were restored.

"Cargo Hold

Keyul looked at Alpin, "Thank you for your assistance. Kindly take them to the Temple room. I'll put them in my quarters once I see these two to their cabin."

Toha listened to Yanga, "Thank you for your words. There is no need to speak with her. Some people do not handle change well. We have often encountered similar reaction by some of the others in the WAP. I take pride in being here, I earned my citizen status, and chose to serve to protect the Clan.""

Cargo Hold -> Temple Room

"My pleasure." Alpin nodded, hefting the bags and glancing around for Yanga before he set off through the ship, still dripping a little as he moved along at a decent pace so he could drop the bags off and get back to his room to change before he headed off to catch a briefing.

Cargo Hold -> Yanga/Murr's Den -> Wapoin Ruosa

Yanga gave Toha a gentle flash of his fangs. "I am worried for her though." He mused softly. "I will be sure to find you at a later time. I'd love to learn more about you." He promised, turning and trotting off after Alpin. He made his way through the halls to his and Murr's room. He took only a brief moment to finish drying off and change into his uniform before he properly stowed and netted his and his brother's gear under his bed and headed for the wapoin ruosa, intending to check in on Murr before heading off to be briefed.

After the shot, Murr blinks a few times as the serum rushed to do its job. She secured her weapons back onto her utility belt. Her eyes glazed over as her tail gave a twitch several times.

".....We can't leave her here. It'll bring suspicion way to soon." The big grey and dirty white Qakturo spoke to someone behind her. He was wearing a simple outfit that allowed him to blend in and be forgettable to observers.

"Where we take her?" Another unrecognizable voice spoke.

"Her room back at Poku Claws," The Qakturo spoke growling at his unseen partner.

"Maybe I should've joined the military! She must make more than we do! We should demand more money." Same unrecognized voice spoke, louder as he was closer to her now.

"You go right ahead and you'll be someone's foot rug, Now help me get her going." The Qakturo grabbing her by the armpits to get her up on her feet. Placing her arm over his shoulder as the other one did the same on the other side. Then louder as if speaking to an audience, "Sheesh sister! You shouldn't be out by yourself. Remember what the Doctor said about your condition?"...

Murr blinked as the rush of memories came back, filling in the gaps, starting with the latest and working backwards. "Miaow?" She started typing fast onto her wrist computer in her coded shorthand as each blocked memory popped up like a bubble bursting to expose its jumbled contents. She bared her fangs in a menacing grimace, ears going flat in aggression as she busily typed away one handed over the wrist computer keyboard.

The holographic bubble showed what she was typing into her wrist computer. Those that were watching it was meaningless, but with careful thought could figure out the meaning of bits and pieces.

Ibaka was one of the main topics. Along with the Armored Behemoth. The Ibaka's Ship Brain. Shiny spinning gold medallion on a gold chain that showed a bastardized icon with crossed claws of the Poku Underworld to be hypnotized with her compliance with the Intel Officers (at the time still thought to be legit). The Damaged Dahome to make it look like these two were legit Intel Officers, incase the ingested drug failed to do it's job.

La'tâ let Murr relax and laid her down so she could deal with the memories, she was not going to rush her, and she knew stress was counter productive in such situations. Once Murr was carefully placed, the Tula moved herself to a desk and began the analysis that that Tin-Ta'a asked for. It was mostly a matter of researching how fast the chemicals broke down in her body, and how much was left. After which it was just a matter of figuring out how much memory she lost and she could estimate the original dosage and how long ago it was applied.

She looked up when she heard the doors open however and spotted Yanga entering the infirmary. "Yes, is there a medical emergency?"

Wapoin Ruosa

Yanga was happy to enter the room to find Murr relaxing, sleeping maybe?, and La'ta there in the room with her. He breathed a sigh of relief and gave the Wapoin'a a smaller barring of his teeth. "I was worried about Sar Murr." Yanga kept his voice down so as not to bother her. "She seemed pretty odd in the cargo hold when I saw her last and when I didn't find her in our den I came looking for her here. She'll be alright?" He asked, waiting quietly for an answer. He wasn't particularly concerned with why she'd been acting up, he could ask later, but he did want assurance Murr would be okay.

Murr hearing Yanga, looked over at him. She gave him a wave and smile. A warmth had spread through her at seeing and hearing his concern for her. She would've call him over, but the Tin-Ta'a and Jasqi were somewhere in the area. It was bad enough that she was under the spotlight and didn't want to bring unwanted attention to others.

She returned to her memories that were bursting forth from the drug induced blockage as La'ta's Serum did its work. There was still gaps as some of the memories were actually loss, whether they was important or not, were gone forever. Her furious typing in her style of shortpaw (shorthand) started to slow down as she did her best to keep up with the returning memories. Then it was just a matter of going back through what she had gleaned so far to trigger more details to be record.

Now came the ornery task of editing what she had into a more comprehensive legible report so that others could read and act upon it.

La'tâ gave Yanga a smile, it was a smile that she had practiced most of her life, flawless in it's sincerity and warm enough to comfort even the most frightened child. It was a smile that said everything will be all right, despite any thoughts she might have had. "A bit of a sensitive situation has arisen, but Sar-Whisk will recover from it just fine." As she spoke she stood up and handed the Tin-Ta'a a data pad with the compiled results on it along with rough estimates.

"Tin-Ta'a, this is the data, as you can see the serum has spread through her blood stream, it's still detectable however, so it's likely that it was applied more thanone tui ago, but not likely more than a few saenor ago. However, I did not notice any wounds that would suggest a struggle or injection on Sar-Whisk, she might have unknowingly ingested the chemicals. Inhalation is also not likely as controlling the dosage would be difficult if put mildly."

Wapoin Ruosa

Yanga nodded at La'ta's words, happy that Murr would be alright. He was still just a little worried though, so as La'ta wandered off he padded over to Murr and waited quietly until she had a moment. He was a little awkward with it but he managed a simple 'Do you want me to wait with you?' In paw speak. He and Alpin both had studied Murr's provided Paw Speak CD in depth over their vacation and Yanga had done further research so he could comfortably communicate with his den mate. It was quite obviously coming in handy now.

Wapoin Rousa

Murr in a natural pause of her writing, actually typing, looked up at Yanga and saw his message in paw speak. She couldn't help but to give a warm smile at his efforts. "The choice is yours. I don't want to pull you from any thing important." She responded back in paw speak, at the same speed he did his. "But I do have a bone to pick with you. You will be neater in our shipboard den. We still do get inspected and a messy den does end up on reports." Her paw speak movements became a bit sharper to indicate she was upset at his housekeeping.

Murr gave him a soft glare to empathize what she was saying through paw speak.

Qaedal looked at the information from La'ta. "This is troubling. I am going to the bridge and contact the Wytani Jyaonka back on the planet. I am going to ask them to pull the security cameras for the floor that Murr's room was on, and the lifts. That way we will have the beginnings of a suspect pool to have them start eliminating. Keep me apprised of her condition. We will be tunneling shortly, but the information will be sent to us via FTL Comm." he turned to leave and saw Yanga paw speaking with Murr.

"As you were Yanga, but you might want to get a seat before we tunnel." He said and left for the bridge.

Memi's Cabin

Taeto looked around and smiled at Memi, "Damuisa will be fine. My responsibility is to record the activities of my squad when we are deployed. I wondered how you chose to record the exploits you have participated in."

"Well I usually film it. I have a camera that I drag around with me. and then I can take still frames from it to scotch out and ink for scrolls or inside bound books." He reach under a pile of books and pulled out a can of the Damusia, "Here you go.. um... I don't have any cups here." He blushed under his fur as he went back to trying to tidy up the mess he had all over the place. As he picked up a pile of books and started stacking them on one of the beds he froze. "Uhh... are you supposed to be bunking in here?"

Memi's Cabin

Taeto watched Memi's attempt to bring order to the chaos that was his cabin. She took a healthy slug on the can of Damuisa. 'Warm... it would be better cold.' she thought.

She then replied to his query; "No sar, I have been assigned a cabin with my apaloii. Besides, I do not think there is room enough for another with all these books and scrolls that you have." She said with a grin. "Perhaps you would appreciate some assistance with organizing them?"

Murr kept glancing at Yanga not to miss his Paw Speak to her as she worked on her memories into a readable report. She looked at what she had so far and what was there, full of gaps. But at least it would give the proper authorities a base to work from her recovered drug induced shattered memories.

She wondered what her future assignments would be aboard the Yome Ismaopate and be able to participate with any of the teams leaving the ship. She wanted revenge against those that did this to her so bad she could taste the foul feelings within her. She saved the finished report to turn over to the proper shipboard authorities.

Murr felt restless and wanted to return to duty as she felt the ship harmonics changed as the Tunnel Generators began to power up for the transition.

Wapoin Ruosa

Yanga jumped a little at Qaedal's words but nodded, settling down on bed beside Murr. 'Yes, I know, I am sorry.' Yanga signed to Murr 'I had fully intended to put it away and then things happened.' He gave the other a tentative barring of his teeth. 'I made sure to properly store my things this time though.' He added, hoping she wouldn't be so grumpy once she heard that he had learned from her note.

Murr reached out and gave Yanga's hand paw a squeeze, letting him know he was forgiven this time. Along with a shy smile. It sent tingles through her as she held his paw that was different from holding her father's and brother's. Even good tom friends of hers. Her tail gave a much softer slow sweep. She released quickly after a few seconds longer than necessary.

She nodded quickly to acknowledge him also. Using the speech balloon hologram, she typed quickly,

:: I seen you talking to the newcomers to the ship. What do you think of them? ::

Secretly hoping that he wasn't more interested in them and curious at the same time. She had fully intended to meet and greet with the Alien* Females that came aboard the Ismaopate, but that didn't turn out so well and she ended up here.

Footnote:
Alien* : Please forgive me for being so forgetful on two new crewmembers species were called.

Yanga said nothing about Murr's holding of his paw, glancing over at the speech hologram. He got a thoughtful look, going back over his information and encounter with Toha. 'Interesting.' He signed in a way that clearly indicated thoughtfulness. Coming from a Quaktoro's point of view he added; 'I think they will ultimately be a good change for us all.' He thought namely of how well the Neko had taken pride in what she'd been assigned, and how well she'd seemed to keep her temper even when faced with Murr's roughness. 'I fully intend to check things out further, but for now I really do believe they will add value to the ship and to the crew.' He thought for a moment more and then nodded.
