RP: 21st Fighter Sq [Mission 3.0] - Out of the Mist

Hoshi was unpleasantly snapped out of her reverie by the order to help Silic Vas -- likely the only person she had ever disliked. But her choice wasn't limited to him, so she hustled to get to Ramirez-Shoi before anyone else.

Anyway, he was more hurt in the first place.

She set to work, cleaning and binding his wounds as best she could.

Ira opened his eyes, and looked up into Hoshi's as she set about working on his wounds. His skin had gone clammy, and he was ghost white, but he was not going to bleed out thanks to her.

He did not blink or even flinch as she worked on him. "I did not think angels were real.." He mumbled as took Hoshi with his good arm, and brought her in for a two second make out session.

The kiss came to an abrupt halt when Ira Ramirez passed out once more.

What...? Was all Lynn could think as the XO brought her down closer.

Then kissed her. Kissed her.

It was all so confusing. So she reacted like... Like... A girl, really. She pulled away as Ira dropped and yelped in surprise. She pulled away -- scrambled away -- and fled to the LUT. Someone else could handle the delirious XO. She just wanted to hide her blush.

Yaeko was en route to helping out Tin Man when she saw Hoshi's little "problem" out of the corner of her eye. Damned horny Nepleslians! "Hoshi, you seem to be attracting the attention of the males quite often," Yaeko joked at Hoshi. "Maybe you should give Silic a run for his money." Yaeko changed her path an nealed down next to the XO and started on his wound. While she was working she sent something telepathically to Ramirez, hoping that he would still proccess it. "If you try to pull anything on me, I will not hesitate to stun you. And trust me, I'm going to aim somewhere that won't feel pleasent."

Lynn just whimpered a little in response to Yaeko's comment. The stress of the combat was gone, now: replaced by the stress of her recollection of the day's events. She had been humiliated every time she turned around it seemed. Silic falling on her, carrying her, her failure to comply with Atsui's orders, and now the XO kissing her.

It was a ridiculous, embarrassing, horrid, long day. Could Lynn respect herself ever again after being borderline violated by two separate Nepleslians? Was she even a Neko anymore?

Silic winced at Yaeko's joke, shifting a little unconciously. "Thanks," he said quietly "but I think I already have enough cracked ribs for now."

High above the forest canopy the sound of surface to air missiles could be heard streaking off. Explosions in the distance could be heard.

"Let's get our two wounded into the LUT's now so we can get the hell out of here. Eika-Heisho help me with Tin Man. Hunter, you and Hoshi get Loverboy into the damn LUT." With Konpeki's help she and the Intelligence soldier picked up Silic and placed him in the back of the LUT.

Konpeki then mounted her Akira and prepared to start towing.

Atsui climbed into LUT and started the engine.

Ira lay there, and did not move. He was utterly un-conscious, however his sub-conscious was there to answer Yaeko's message. In Ira's head her voice managed to trigger a dream like response. So when she finished here telepathic threat, Yaeko got a distant sleepy response. "Not hot enough..."

Ramirez would then remain largely lifeless.

Atsui looked at her communicator as it sounded. Escort one? The Yamato.... she was bound for Veronica on her maiden voyage... cryptic to say the least. she thought.

"This is Numa Atsui-Chui, identify yourself. We have rescued the captives and are making our way back to the SSS encampment."

Yaeko did what she could with the XO before packing the medical supplies away and grabbing his shoulders. She waited for Hoshi, not even paying attention to the XO's remark, and prepared to hurry him into the LUT. "Maybe you should get the feet, I think you have less of a chance of those being in your face if Loverboy here fancies you as much as it seems."

Even carrying the feet, Hoshi tried to hold the XO as little as possible, giving him a wide berth. As best she could she hurried the Shoi into the LUT, and once done quickly got back into her place within the vehicle.

With the last of the injured finally loaded, Atsui put the LUT into gear, "Hold on folks, this will probably be just as bumpy going back as was coming in, except we're more bruised and battered." She called out as she drove foward.

Konpeki lifted the Akira enough for ground clearance and started pulling the second LUT. As warned the return trip was just as bone jarring as the one in. Their progress was hindered by the damaged LUT which without an active drive system did not clear rocks and other objects well.

Perseverance however brought the squadron safely to the SSS encampment. When the LUT's emerged from the forest, they saw a pair of Yusou Grav APC's on the ground and forty Daisy clad Infantry among the SSS personnel, and maintaining sentry points.

Elisto walked away from his fighter, gesturing for Errowyn to follow as he casually walked toward the vehicles that had just driven into the encampment, though he had asked the daisy pilots for the location of the Chui, he pretty much only asked it for clarification's sake.

He stood off the side though, observing the vehicles and waiting to see if the Chui did exit, the last thing he needed to do was misidentify someone.

Atsui pulled the LUT up as close as she dared, and stopped. She climbed out and pulled off the helmet off her Type 31 Field Uniform. "Numa Atsui-Chui here, we need medics and stretchers over here ASAP. We have casualties." she hollered.

Atsui looked into the back of the LUT to check the wounded. She saw Kayo the plucky little Admin who volunteered to come on the mission. Her eyes were staring skyward with no light in them. "Damn." Atsui swore under her breath as she gentle closed the eyes.

Looking back up she saw a number of infantry and SSS personnel rushing forward to tend to those in need. She also spotted a pair of AFS clad individuals in the back. Must be the folks who escorted the transports down. she thought.

She watched as the medics performed triage, and got those most seriously injured onto grav gurneys and moved them to the clinic. Once she saw Silic and Ira carried off, and the two fallen soldiers moved to the side. "Fighting Diamonds, if you do not require medical attention, grab something hot to eat, a hot shower, and a change of clothing. Get some sack time, we'll debrief later." she said with as much volume as her weary body could manage.

Elisto watched the scene unfold, shaking his head with some hint of regret at not being here sooner to help. Damn, he continued to observe until he saw an opening, he hadn't wanted to disturb the officer while she was giving out orders.

As he approuched the Chui, he removed his helmet and held it under his arms, then when he was a few feet away he gave a bow and said, "Numa-Chui? My names Tereane-Elisto, Itto Hei. It's an honour to meet you."

Yaeko unloaded from the back of the LUT, lugging all of her stuff with her, and then helping them get the two Nepleslians onto the gurneys. Once she was done she dropped her stuff in a pile at the wheel of the truck, bowed to the Chui, and then headed off to her quarters. I think I'll shower first and then eat. That way I won't smell as bad as the cafeteria food while I'm eating it, and I guess I won't have to get to bed with my hair wet. Although, my appearance doesn't matter much since Hoshi seems to have the males distracted. She giggled to herself as she said this. Yaeko took a quick shower, just enough to get all of the dirt off and wash her, changed into a new uniform, and then head down to the mess hall.

Errowyn tagged along with Elisto, looking around, breathing in the myrid of scents that a living planet brought to her. Eyes sparkled with delight as she looked around like tourist. Full of awe and abit of trepidation as this was the first time setting foot on a planet outside of her assigned ship.

She stumbled abit at the uneven ground she walked on and nearly fell to the ground, but caught herself in time. Hoping that she wasn't embarrassing Itto-Hei as she stumbled about the place as she kept up with him.

'First of Many!' She thought as she wanted to do a lot of things planetside.

Bumping into Elisto as she wasn't aware of him stopping as she was fully distracted by being planetside, "Sorry, sir," softly, straightening up to pay closer attention to what was happening around her as those before her around the LUT were beginning to dispurse from Chui giving orders.

She stood there, along side of Elisto, putting all the things she wanted to do planetside in a list and priortize them to keep from wandering off at the first major distraction.

Atsui turned towards Elisto, returned his bow. "So you two were the escort for the landing craft? What unit are you.... wait... Tereane-Hei... you are one of our new pilots.

Well this is certainly a surprise. I figured on being back at Daichi before your arrival. With the forces from the Yamato present, I will put in a request for the Yamato to take use aboard and take us home.

This assignment has been rough on the unit, and between injuries and casualties, we are far from fit for combat. The Infantry can mop up any of the stragglers.

At the moment however, I want to get cleaned up, get some hot food and a few hours sleep. We were up most of last evening, and then spent the rest of the time out there in those damn woods. Follow me and I will lead you to our temporary barracks. There are some extra bunks if you wish to get some sack time."

Atsui then turned and started walking off towards the cluster of CRDM's. When she entered the barracks, she opened her footlocker, pulled out some clean clothes. Grabbing her toiletry bag she walked over to the second shower in the sleeper module. She pulled the privacy screen closed and stripped out of her uniform and stepped into the shower. A moment later the sound of running water could be heard.

Errowyn looked abit surprised as she listened in on the conversation with the Chui and Elisto. Gave a slight nod confirming the Chui's remark about them being the excorts for the transports. Then a butterfly caught her attention, and she watched it flutter by.

When she turned back, both Elisto and Atsui were gone. She blinked, then looked around to spot them. But they was gone amongst the CRDM's.

'now everyone is gonna think you're a airhead in losing the Chui and Itto,' Errowyn thought, looking abit disgusted with herself. 'At least I know where my fighter is...'

She wandered amonst the SSS Camp, looking things over with interest of a tourist. Walking along, actually enjoying being planetside. The pleasant breeze ruffling her hair. Myrid of scents assualting her nose. People busy with conversation and work. Sounds of the vegetation rustling in the breeze. Colors, other than the lifeless manmade colors, were vibrant and inviting. The soft caress of the breeze and warmth of the sun upon exposed skin.

It was a paradise worth perserving for future generations to enjoy.
