"Uhm? Oh sure." Ghi took a cloth and poured some water over it at the sink before handing it back to Kato, "I'd forgotten about the blood work actually. I was going to work on some enhanced bacterium, and wished for some cells to infect with them." She shrugged, "It's unlikely to escape and kill us all."

Carlos looked up at her and frowned, reaching up slowly and placing a hand on her shoulder to calm her down. He gave her a weak smile and spoke in a low attempt at a calming voice "'Ey, calm down...everything'll be alright, yeah? We got good people out there to 'elp us.."

Meanwhile Saeki dashed out from behind her boulder, bounding across the short distance to another point of cover. She tumbled down behind a felled tree and stayed low, popping up every now and then to return fire at the turrets with her rifle. She homed in on Natalie's signal, inching along the felled tree until she came to its end, readying herself to dash out to the next cover point and lay down covering fire for the two that were pinned down. "Hold on, help is on the way!"

"This...Dawn...repor... I fou...Carlos injured...my current loca... The enemy...present...peri...am wound...need backu... please...order...retreat...is insane....bout be....slaught."

Masako could only catch bits and pieces of the transmission from her position near the lumbering beast, but the meaning and tone of the woman's voice was clear. Carlos and Dawning needed assistance, informing the Chusa of her findings could wait until they were out of harms way.

Activating her active camouflage and sending a short double-click to Carlos and Dawning, the young neko put her suit into a hover before accelerating quickly towards their position, moving from boulder to boulder just in case they got through her stealth. She readied her GM-06 rifle as she started coming in on the two turrets attacking. Adrenline pumping through her system, Masako actually flew up into the air and went into a free-fall as she targeted the active turrets.

"Where in hell is my backup?!! I need you now here!"

Suddenly, two bursts of fire from a Plasma Rifle came from above the them, blasting one turret into submission and heavily damaging the other. The sound of a landing occurred right beside them moments later as Masako's active camouflage disengaged. Crouching down, Masako opened her loudspeaker. "Sorry it took so long," Masako said, smiling in her helmet in relief. "Sergeant Major Kurohoshi, here to lend assistance," she stated as she looked over at Carlos. "Vega-san, it seems I'm having to save you a lot, ne?"

"About time, sergeant. The situation is not looking good... I can take care of Carlos while i bring him back to the Mikomi, and this is the perfect time to do it because it is coming closer to the ground. But, obviosly, i will not be able to return fire, and my speed will be decreased" She said by the loudspeaker while still holding Carlos head, fasting his helmet so his suit won´t despressurize when Natalie carries him. "But i am pretty sure you already know that so i just need about 3 minutes of cover, because the path will be a rough one. The Mikomi is quite far away still..."

"But i´ll hold my current position until the captain issues new orders"...
Holstering her rifle in the armour´s back, she said closely to Carlos, while putting him in a more confortable position and softly putting his head on her laps

"Hold on tight, big boy... dis´ne gonna be a bitch..." she smiled.

"Aw frak this isn't good," Roken said as he made his way to another bolder, Roken was unable to make contact with the others all he could see was weapons fire all over him, "Crud its just like it was back on the streets," Roken looked onto one of the turrets close to him and let out a quick burst blasting it to a smoldering heap.

[I have to try and contact them again, Roken thought he keyed his communicator and hoped someone would hear him. "This is Roken Techard calling anyone who can hear this....." Roken was interrupted by a blast from an enemy unit, Roken broke cover and fired on the target, the unit fired one last shot before going down hitting Roken's SIAR rifle "aww Christ I liked that gun," Roken discarded the weapon and switched to his plasma Projector, for a brief moment Roken radar showed a small cluster of units further to his right that must be the rally point Roken thought "I got you on radar and I'm heading to your position." Roken made his way to what he though the others were at.

(sorry if i messed this up :? )

"Yeah, seems like it." He smiled over at Masako, then looked up at Natalie flashing another roguish grin.

"I'm built for bitch rides, ya know? Fire it up!" He winced a little in pain as he was manuovered up so she could get a better hold on him. Well, this was his second life or death experience in one week!

Daduar fell into a lull when Kestral pulled him behind another boulder to shield him from the hostile fire. He began to tire rather quickly as his pupils began to dilate and the muscles in the arm that wasn't hit began to twitch a bit. Other than that, nothing else was happening, as luckily he didn't overdose on the narcotic.

Within a minute he had full control over his speech again and looked over to Kestral for a moment. "So, what do we do now boss?â€

"Don't worry too much about it, Soldier Dawning," Masako replied politely as she pulled her Aether Rifle from her back slot. "I'll do everything in my power to make sure you two make it out of here alive," she stated calmly, though she felt a bit nervous about the whole thing.

There was no guarantee that she could keep all of the turrets they met up with occupied. She didn't even have a clue as to how many of them were still active and how many more were under cover.

Suzi appeared in front of Lachlan. "Get going then, I give you a direct order to suit up and get on to that planet with the rest of them." She smiled and disappeared. "He may need you down there, fix the suits, it looks as though there is a big fire fight at the moment." This time she didn't appear, it was whispered in his ear.

Kestral looked at Daduar and smiled, this was going to be fun. "Let's help them!â€

"Aye aye," answered Lachlan as he raced off for the rear armour hanger bays to suit up. He just left his gear tied down next to the harnass of his Phalanx armour suit, entering the suit with a purpose. When you got right down to it, Lachlan wasn't a leader, but, despite an irreverent and rebellious streak, he had been conditioned to accept orders without question.

Falling from the sky into the welcoming embrace of Bowhordia's lower atmosphere, Lachlan tried to zero in on his new captains position. This mark he got within a hundred metres of, touching down with the coarseness of someone who is an armour pilot by necessity not nature. He immediately made for the captain, keeping his head down.

Natalie nodded to her captain "Roger that, captain. Ill be back in the battlefield in no time."

She finishing the last configurations of the propulstion systems. She needed all the boost in the propulsion in order to reach the stratosphere, from where the Mikomi was descending.

// Genesis Propulsion System Control Panel
Assigning main generator energy from EM-9 to Ag-54 and Tk-008 ..... done.
- *Critical* - : EM-9 systems are disabled. Error code X004302. For further details, call your nearest technician.

Charging IO-1.... successiful.
Y-42 not present or unusuable. The charge of the selected device is discarded.

She was only focused on getting to the Mikomi alive and with Carlos in her hands. Anything after that is secondary.

The big emanation of magnetic force was big enough to crack the ground. Propeling the two bodies straight to the sky, Natalie was barely adjusting her trajectory just to keep the kinetic of the propulsion towards the Mikomi.

Some cannons started to fire at Carlos and her, but the cover of her teammates were doing a hell of a job. The enemy tried to land a shoot, but it either became destroyed or it was out of range.

The trip didn´t take long at that speed, but the Natalie´s phalanx became unsuitable for battle after it. the propulsion leeched all the possible energy that the generator could give, and it will take a long time after it cools down.

Putting down Carlos into the bay floor, she said by the loudspeaker "Suzi! this man needs assistance at once! ..."

Getting out of the unusuable phalanx, she crouched down to whisper to Carlos "Now is up to you if you want your pin back, or not, big boy. And you better make it through if you don´t wanna piss off a woman!"

"Suzi, i need a new power armour. Please tell me if we have a Nataku M2 unit for service. We really could make use of one down there. Also, i know i don´t have any rank that supports my following suggestion, but please, if you can land the ship and set up a kind of camp, it would be a great advantage in order to deploy our presence in this damned planet"

Carlos held on tight as they spazzed up into the sky, clenching his eyes shut. He had always been deathly afraid of heights. Ever since he was 5, exploring the ruins of a recently bombed out building and nearly falling eight stories when a floor began to give way beneath his meager weight, he had been afraid.

A sigh of relief as the turrets didn't blow them out of the sky, and another as he was set down on the deck of the Mikomi, smiling up at Natalie. "Dios mio, I'm in your debt chica. Thats two times I've cheated death...and you keep those pins, you've earned them. Thats for damn sure."

----------------------- ON --------------------------
"I am loving you accent, but is its ok, ill take care of your pin while i am down there... just don´t leave me now... and death is forbidden here"! Natalie said after the injured man became counsious after the quick trip to the Mikomi

Carlos propped himself up onto his elbows and looked down at his leg, reaching out and feeling at it gingerly. "Ow, fuck. I think its fractured..."

Natalie sarcastically smiled at the answer "Well, it could be worse... we´re living hell on earth" - then helped the injured man to put himself into his elbows

"Are you going back down there? It sounded...well, and looked, pretty bad. I dont wan't you to get hurt."

She let out a small laughter. "Well, is the way of the warrior. This uniform says it all, so does my rank. If there´s people down there, i will have to be in the front line" She tried to not her effort be wasted, so she put Carlos head again against her laps ..."Don´t worry about me, i´ll be fine. I´m scarred enough, any other scars will be only just an addition to my hall of scars... now, you better promise me you will be fine, or i will be pissed, you know!... Nobody flies that fast just to mourn a death...

"I promise, I think its just a little broken bone. I should be fine...soon. But you come back alright, I still have to buy you a drink for saving me." Carlos flashed her a roguish grin.

"Well, what an irony... to see a medic himself hurt" She answered with a sarcastic grin, trying to relieve the injured´s pain "Say, would you mind if a woman takes you to the medic bay?"

"Sure, but I think I can walk. It'll hurt like a bitch, but...since when have I ever shied away from a little pain?" Carlos made an attempt to stand, getting up on one knee and gingerly keeping his weight off the other. He rose to his feet, growling in pain.

"No, no!" Natalie forcefully put the man in the floor again "Don´t push yourself that much... you´re the injured here and all... Do it slower, i´ll help" she said with a softer voice, trying to force Carlos to not bear pointless pain

"A-alright." He said quietly, holding onto her a bit so he could shift his weight entirely off his injured leg and hobble along with the one good one he had left. "Thanks. Gah...how did I even break my leg down there? I was dropping and everything went black..."

"Things goes black when you don´t know how things are" She let out a big smile, hiding a true attemp to not laugh at Carlos´s brief description of his experience

"Did you make it down alright? I guess you must have if you're okay..."

"I am okay, well, kinda, i lost all my Phalanx´s drones, mostly of them when reaching you... i got shot on my leg, but it just a small cut... i think i demanded too much of that machine, but that was my error...But, it doesn´t matters, the landing was quite rough for an amateur, but the enemy is being rougher... and the enemy is covering every inch of our movement"

"Do you think we'll win down there? That the captain and everyone will get back safely?" He said, a little bit of concern creeping into his voice. He didn't want to lose anyone down there...

"I am not sure about that, my friend. Everyone is fighting hard, but so far we don´t have a established point to go... we´re seeking answers, but the enemy is so overwhelming that we are only focusing on fighting for our lives... I am so sorry that you ended this way, but we need to make up a better plan... i think we have one or two casualities so far, and i am not counting you as one, of course!"

"Really? Who?" He looked up at her with a frown. People had actually died on their mission already? He hadn't had to face death before, really. Never this close up at least.

She caressed his forehead softly, cleaning his sweat and implying a more relaxed ambient, understarding that his concern was truthful, but pointless "A soldier that falls in battlefield is an honored soul... i cannot give you a exact name, but i know we are facing something bigger that we had in mind" ' she smiled warmly

"Yeah...I suppose so. I just don't want anyone to get hurt...I mean...its one thing to die fighting in a war against someone who's threatening you. Its another to die just exploring some backass planet..."

She understanded the man´s concern. She hold his arms and said "Well, i don´t know about that, but what i am pretty sure at this moment is that you need a medic that is not you. So let me help you to carry you to the medic bay which is not far away from here. And yeah, this is what you call full service" ' she winked

"Hehe, alright, lead on." He smiled up at her and let her lead him onwards towards the medical bay, not well enough to walk on his own without some medical attention.

Suzi appeared next to the two. "I am sorry Natalie there are no M2 left, there is however another Phalanx in the middy bay. Also it is impossible to land, as there no suitable landing area, also there is way too much fighting going on. I would prefer to get this ship back in the air at a later date and at this time; I don't think we would be able to. We would be to badly damaged." She nodded at Natalie with a sorry smile, and appeared next to Ghi. "We have a casualty and need assistance. The patient has what seems to be a fractured leg." She disappeared and went back to driving the ship.

Kestral on the other hand was fighting hard with Masako. They where blowing turrets up left, right and centre. It wasn't easy. So far he hadn't been hit either. Then suddenly the Mikomi was above him and Natalie and Carlos where aboard. He looked at Masako and shouted out on the loudspeaker. "Get to ground, we have been up here long enough. He pointed to the area they had just left from. Then he fired a round at one turret. Suddenly all was quite. The Mikomi's guns had stopped as well. There was no more fighting. It was a strange silence. He landed on the ground, and looked around him. What the fuck had just happened?

Looking around warily at the suddenly too-quiet battlefield, Lachlan approached his commander. A rifle was cradled in the arms of his armour suit, which he kept safed and pointed down. He was understanably reluctant to speak up to someone whose paygrade was miles beyond his own. Still, he had to do so eventually.

"Sir, Technician Henessey, reporting in; I just arrived."

Saeki relaxed a bit as the fighting suddenly came to a grinding halt, noting with satisfaction that Natalie and Carlos had made it up to the Mikomi. She stood up straighter and held her rifle at the ready, the muzzle pointed Earthward. Still, though, she was ready to put a few rounds into anything that moved against them.

Slowly moving towards the medic bay along the injured medic, Natalie felt the urge to go back to the battlefield.

"So sorry Carlos, i need to leave you here. I am pretty sure that the medics will take good care of you, and down there they will need my assistance" she said putting the man into the floor, so he could sit leaning himself against the wall.

Putting her helmet on again, she ran to the other Mindy bay to take the other Phalanx.

"Suzi, is everything alright with the ship? when i was talking with Carlos, the Mikomi stopped firing, and now i can not hear anymore battle down there. But i guess the enemy is just giving a rest to us... or something pretty big is about to come..." - She stopped suddendly. "I... um... ... are the technicians working on establishing communication with us down there?"

Eve had been hard pressed when the fire came down to destroy turrets the Mikomi hadn't already been targetting, she did her best as she kept the other units in her proximity, darting and juking erratically through her stealth settings as she hopped onto and sliced, fired, and otherwise tore into nearly ten turrets.

The Geshrin formed back up on her commanding officer. The AIES of her unit sent a request for orders prompted by her mental command. The 'mish is wrong with my sensors? she thought inwardly, checking the calibrations her her systems as she stood by.

Kestral thought quickly. "Henessey, nice to meet you. Keep with the others and you should be ok." Kestral spared him a quick smile; this wasn't really the time for greetings. "Get in to formation now, all of you. Keep low. We are going to have a look around." Kestral was proud of the lads, not only had no one been harmed in battle, Carlos had hurt himself from falling, but it seemed that they had won. He wasn't going to stand down that easily though; the drones could still shot at them any time. He moved to the front of the group and knelt down. "Daduar stuff the plan about two groups, we are going forward to that ridge together. Make sure that we have at least a two-metre gap between each soldier. At least this way it is less dangerous. Arrow head formation." Kestral looked around for a minute. "Move out." He was leading at point, this was usually a position for a lower ranking soldier, but he didn't want to put any of them in to much danger.

Suzi appeared next to Natalie. "Don't worry about all of this Natalie, get down to the ground with your troop, it looks as though they are moving out. I am going to do a fly by, over the ridge see what is around. Get gone." She smiled a disappeared. In actual fact, they hadn't been damaged, everything so far was ok. Though it did feel as though the ship was being pulled over the ridge, like there was a magnet.

Natalie nodded slightly to Suzi order "Alright. Im going down... just try to establish communication with us down there, please. Dawning out"

She rushed into the battlefield again. The team started to move in formation and splitting, so she moved behing Kestral´s group.

"Dawning reporting. Carlos is safe in the Mikomi, getting medical attention. The Mikomi is unharmed and will be above us as we assault. Over".
