RP: YSS Eucharis [Mission 4] The Chase

"Roger that, but does that count for telepathic messages as well, Kage-Shosa?" Kim asked as she complied with the remainder of the order, as she activated the PA to 100% operational status and remained stealthed, just awaiting the order to deploy.

Clenching the hands of the PA repeatedly, Kim nodded for herself, pleased that everything was working while she thought about the mission. Hopefully, everything would go smooth. She'd deploy, locate Hanako, and then teleport her, Kage, and herself back to the Eucharis. Hopefully without violence.
 
"...No, telepathy is fine." He said, after a moment. "Nepleslians are thankfully non-telepathic. Deploy, and look for the Smuggler's Pride...I'll do what I can by searching manifests from here. Active scanning will be detected, which means we have to use foot trafic, passive sensors, and the civilian networks."

Yaichiro responded.
 
Pineapple rose up the stairs as quietly as she could. "Roof access?" she asked Hotaru, looking around cautiously.

Down below, the mercenaries tied flexible plastic cuffs around Hanako's wrists and forced her to her feet, bringing her towards the ship's boarding ramp, then across the parking lot towards one of the run-down buildings where they had hidden their ST machine...
 
"I saw a small hatchway in the ceiling in the left-hand side room but it's not big enough for us to get through so I dismissed it. However it may be possible to enlarge it enough without making too much noise, I can't be certain of that though," replied Hotaru.
 
Pineapple nodded, looking up at the hatchway, then at a broken window. While examining the window's size, she spotted Hanako, disrobed and shivering, being led across the lot. "Look! It's her!"

She then sent a communication to Yaichiro. "Hanako visually spotted at the following coordinates..."
 
Outside of orbit, the Eucharis was slowly making a jagged course for the closest edge of the debris field to Neplesia. Misaki hadn't left her station and was hoping that the recovery they were making from all the different pods would count even if they couldn't find Hanako. She had been running over and over tactical situations, and hoped the teams had linked up quickly.

I should have gone myself.. The Shosa thought, it had nagged her to send an engineer but he was the most experienced officer in the Squadron on hand she could have thrown to the surface, and the most likely to infiltrate aside from herself. Bringing up an interior map of the ship, she checked the status of everyone remaining while trying to ascertain the readiness of the ships she had left across the border with passive sweeps. I couldn't sleep if I wanted to.
 
At Pineapple's exclamation, Hotaru looked out the window and saw Ketsurui Hanako. It was hard knowing Hanako was a short distance away but unable to take action straightaway. While she waited Hotaru kept an eye out while Pineapple sent the coordinates of the sighting.
 
"Get ready to move. Here goes nothing," Pineapple said, aiming her LASR through the window. A loud SLAP noise, followed by another as she fired two rounds through the broken window, then shifted aim and then fired another.

Down below, the first pair of shots hit one of the men escorting Hanako. As the bullet sent the first into a backflip, people starting wildly running for cover. Pineapple's next shot hit the second mercenary with Hanako, leaving her free to run. The Taisa took off across the parking lot towards the Smuggler's Pride, taking cover behind the forward landing gear.

Men in power armor began to flow out into the lot and streets. Bullets burst through the walls near Pineapple but didn't hit.

"Advise Eucharis of the situtation," Pineapple ordered, getting ready for another burst of fire.
 
Hotaru nodded as Pineapple took up position at the window while she did the same.

When Pineapple fired, Hotaru waited a second longer before firing alongside her. She hit one of the men who scattered when Pineapple opened fire.

Seeing the Taisa had managed to find a little cover, Hotaru prepared to fire again when she was ordered to relay a message to Eucharis. "Eucharis, Yamamoto-hei. Be advised we have located our objective and are engaging enemy power armor."
 
"Smoke! Pop smoke!" Hanako ordered via telepathy.

"Can you get that?" Pineapple asked Hotaru.

Once deployed, the smoke would offer some concealment to the Taisa.
 
"I'm on it!" Hotaru quickly replied before she grabbed a Type 30 Smoke grenade and launched it towards the Taisa's position. Seeing it land just in front of the Smuggler's Pride, the grenade started to emit smoke and began to obscure the Taisa's position. Not perfect but close enough thought Hotaru, now to give her some covering fire.
 
"Kurosora-Hei, I'll look for a vehicle to use for the getaway! Prepare for extraction!"

Yaichiro went out to a vechicle rental place attached to the spaceport, and borrowed a vehicle with heavily tinted windows under his false name...and purchased the insurance, of course. He quickly went to the ship and loaded his Power Armor, the old Super PHALANX. Hopefully seeing a Super PHALANX arriving seperately from the Yamataian armors would confuse the enemy.
 
"Understood, Yaichiro-shosa!" Kim replied as she advanced on the location which held Hanako-taisa. Her Power Armour moved like a second skin around her as she maintained a death-like grip on her weapon, ready to bring it up and unleash a burst of deadly fire to anyone who engaged in hostile actions towards her, the Taisa, Yaichiro-shosa, or any other members of the Eucharis on the surface.

As the Infantry trooper advanced, she also made sure her teleportation pod was fully charged and ready to be activated at any moment. Now, let's just pray we'll get out of here without starting a war...
 
Screeching to a halt, the Yaichiro parked as close as possible without being in the enemy's line-of-sight, and emerged in the Super PHALANX. He moved toward the combat area, hoping his PA choice would confuse the enemy. The SA did not officially still use the Super PHALANX, after all.
 
Hanako rushed back out to her dead escorts through the smoke and, quickly feeling around, retrieved a field knife off the corpse, cut her cuffs open and, with her hands now free, snatched up a pistol and a grenade.

She then rushed back towards the entrance to the ship.

As Yaichiro's armor was spotted, many of the (at least) thirty power armors Black-faction began to open fire on him, mistaking him for a "green."
 
It couldn't be helped, really, so Yaichiro decided to do as much as he could...which at this point was to dodge and use the Energy Barrier to block as many attacks as possible.

The Super PHALANX was older, true, but it had an advantage against these machines. The Integral Plasma Projectors in the hands and feet were able to fire at the enemy; and not only could break down matter at the molecular level, but could also do damage over several meters. With enemy armors packed together in such a close formation, he decided to do as much damage as possible, firing left and right at the enemy mecha. He hoped at the very least, he could provide a suitable distraction to thin the Enemy's forces while Hanako was allowed to escape.

Kurosora-Hei! Do what you can to get Hanako-Taisa out of there! The van's parked in the alley two blocks away from me. I'll hold out as long as possible!
 
...Roger that, Shosa! Just don't overdo it... Kim replied as she raced towards the ship and the smoke, trying to keep out of sight from the Nepleslian armors. If Kage insisted on making a distraction, she would not ruin his sacrifice by drawing attention to herself or Hanako.
 
It turned out that the bulk of the enemy forces were Demons and Dark Demons, no real match for the Super PHALANX one on one, but they might be a concern en mass.

Realizing they had yet to use their missiles, their strongest weapon against the Super PHALANX, he quickly toggled the Blackout Countermeasures suit on, both to mess with missile targetting and shield his allies from detection.

He continued trying to dodge, many of the weaker shots bouncing off the shield, but a powerful Xaser Pulse struck Yaichiro's leg, incinerating the armor and the limb. It seemed there were a few Mantuss, and unlike the Demon-based models, they were superior technologically to the Super PHALANX in several areas.

The officer was in pain but refused to cry out, darting to the left via antigravity to avoid another Xaser pulse. He kept trying to mow down the weaker armors, taking shots at the Manthuss with the Carbine. whenever possible. He didn't want a single enemy Power Armor to leave and engage the others.
 
Hanako rushed forward into the cockpit of the Smuggler's Pride and put two shots in to the pilot. After manhandling the body out of the seat, the Taisa slammed the cockpit door closed and strapped herself in for takeoff. The ship began to whine as its systems came back online.

"We should leave," Hanako sent via telepathy. "I can take this cargo ship."

The battle outside began to intensify, with more and more soldiers power armors arriving to join the fight. Pineapple took a few last shots and then launched all her missiles to dazzle the enemy while she ran out of the building and back out towards the street. "Yaichiro, that van better be ready to drive!"

On the way Pineapple grabbed Hotaru by the shoulder. "Hanako's leaving in the freighter. Let's GTFO!"
 
"It is, but it's by no means able to hold up to all these enemy Power Armors if they fire even a few shots at it...I'll try to give you as much of a headstart as I ca--AAGGGHHH!!!"

Another shot found its mark, ripping through the power part of Yaichiro's shield, the other leg and waist blown to pieces. The Officer gave a cry this time, his body being picked apart piece by piece.
