Hanako sat down on on the toilet, glad to finally get some relief. She could hear the rain still falling outside a nearby window. After finishing up, the Taisa got her clothing righted and unlocked the stall, only to find an ugly Nepleslian man standing there, holding a gun.

The captain reached for her pistol, but the man shot immediately. As the heavy stun pulse slammed into her torso, Hanako slumped forward into the man's arms. He quickly dragged her towards the window...

Hearing a gunshot, Yaichiro leapt into action. His pistol was in his hand, as he raced toward the sound of the shot and issued a telepathic order to PANTHEON.

PANTHEON! Determine the location of the gunshot and the parties involved! Track their locations, status, and report it to the authorities, as well as Hanako-Taisa!

He then sent a communication to Midori and Hanako, unaware Hanako was the victim.

Hanako-Taisa, Midori-san, I've heard a gunshot. I'm going to investigate! Ask PANTHEON for data regarding specifics!

While Yaichiro tried to call PANTHEON, the assailant dragged Hanako out the window and into a waiting back SUV which promptly sped off with an extremely loud screech of tires.

The system didn't respond. They had used a PSC device.

Yaichiro barged into the bathroom, and heard the screech of tires. He repeated his orders to PANTHEON verbally, before raising the entire crew on his communicator as he jumped out the window himself.

"Someone's been shot! Hanako-Taisa and all crew, please elevate condition status and initiate roll call! See if we have everyone! Someone pick up Midori-san and move her to my new house, if she's present still!"

Yaichiro dashed over to a person, about to leave in a sports car, and promptly forced his way into the driver's seat.

"Gomen, but I'm commandeering this vehicle for official Star Army of Yamatai Business!" He flashed his ID and sped off, leaving a VERY irate middle-aged business man behind.

"...There was no body there...they couldn't have moved away on their own...therefore...they must have been abducted, whoever the victim was..."

As he pulled out of the driveway, he instructed PANTHEON verbally to lead him to the vehicle which peeled out, as it could have been considered a moving violation, and immediately logged and tracked...or at least he hoped.

The System didn't seem to be doing much. Maybe the sports car didn't have access to the military network. Luckily, Yaichiro could still see back of the black SUV speeding off. It quickly turned a corner, heading down the street through the shopping distract. As it turned, a blue stun pulse from it took out the traffic cop in the intersection. Yaichiro had to be careful not to run the fallen neko over.

ON: Kyoto

Yaichiro peeled out as well, following the vehicle with his handgun ready. This was a bad situation though....his uniform and other devices were delivered, but only after he'd gone to the mall. They were on the Eucharis. All he had was a handgun, the standard magazines, and his civilian communicator. On top of that, PANTHEON seemed utterly useless at that moment. Had his access been removed and not yet restored?

"Looks like we got company," one of the assailant said to the driver of the SUV, who coolly looked at Yaichiro in the mirror. The SUV sped up, speeding by rows of parked cars, and nearly killing some woman who was about to get out. The lady's door was ripped off her car when the SUV hit it. As an alley came up on the left, the SUV went into a power slide around a street vendor's giant stack of cantaloupes, clipping the edge fo the stand and sending an avalanche of ripe fruit into Yaichiro's path as the SUV took off down the alley, swerving around a dumpster and kicking up old newspapers.

When the Car went into a power slide, Yaichiro attempted to take advantage of the opportunity to shoot the tires of the SUV, but only got off a couple shots before he was forced to react. While not quite as experienced a driver as these people, he was still better when it came to processing speed and reflexes than a Nepleslian, so he barely managed to power slide as well...however, a tire popping one piece of fruit made him slide slightly too far, and he wound up moving down the alley with the right mirror of the vehicle gone, and sparks flying down from the right side of the car. However this made him far enough over to avoid the dumpster entirely; he was lucky for that. He attempted to take advantage of the narrow corridor to shoot at the rear tires of the vehicle, where it was less able to swerve to avoid.

Yaichiro's shots, unfortunately, missed or were intercepted by bouncing fruit. As he followed the dark SUV into the even darker alley, he could hear pedestrians screaming in panic from the gunfire. Ahead, one of the SUV's back windows opened up and a man with two 10mm SMG began spraying bullets at the sports car, with several shots making sparks on the grill and turning the windshield into a spider's web of cracks.

Yaichiro was forced to duck down, and did the only thing he could....accelerate. He floored it, using his car's better acceleration to try and get close enough to ram the SUV's rear bumper, and knock the guy out. It was very risky, but it was all he could really do. Hopefully, he'd at least make the submachine guns jostle off their aim.

As the sports car blindly bounced off the brick walls of the alley, sparks flew all over the place, raining down on the unprotected driver. Why did he have to pick a convertible? He slowly seemed to be gaining on the SUV, and the man had stopped to reload. That's when a grenade fell into Yaichiro's passenger seat, then rolled into that space between the passenger's seat and the door on that side. He'd have to lean far over to grab it. As a precaution, the enemy guy shut the SUV's rear window.

In a moment of near panic, the officer leaned over and grabbed for the grenade, hoping his height would help him...he did not remove his foot from the accelerator though.

As he leaned, the car veered to the right, bouncing off the wall and sending the grenade further down into the crevice by the door.

He reached the door handle, and opened it a bit, hoping for the grenade to fall out...the sparks stung, but compared to being shot or blown apart, he was able to deal with it...

Just after the grenade fell out, the grenade exploded, sending the car's rear send towards the left and into a spin that made Yaichiro feel sick. His right rear tire disintegrated as the grenade sent out deadly shrapnel all over the place. He was facing the wrong direction now. To add insult to injury, the SUV sprayed Yaichiro's crippled car with bullets one final time as it crashed into a dumpster full of rotting Chinese food. The Black SUV sped off into the night.

Yaichiro stumbled out of the car, bloodied and slightly burnt by sparks, and picked up his battered civilian communicator...only to find a bullet lodged in it. He proceeded out of the Alley, trying to telepathically communicate with PANTHEON, inquiring as to why it did not assist.

As Yaichiro made his way back to the Eucharis, which was actually closer than the mall at this point, he opened a telepathic communication to the ship and her crew.

All hands....there was a gunshot at the shopping mall, and someone peeled out...I have been injured in the accident following the car chase, and am also having problems with PANTHEON. Please have someone confirm Hanako-Taisa's and Midori-san's safety...and Blueberry, I'll need a little medical care.

Blueberry, followed by Cherry, rushed down to see Toshiro, and then carried the battered engineer to the cargo elevator and brought him up to the medical center. As the ranking officer on the ship, Blueberry got on the intercom briefly and announced, "All hands prepare for departure." Then, turning to Cherry, she ordered, "Try to get communications with Shosa Kurusu and advise her of the situation. See if you can locate Hanako as well."

Yaichiro interjected, appending to the order.

"...Also...verify that Midori-Juni is alright and sent to my home...it's Yuriko-san's old place...make sure a certified psychologist is with her at all times...she's a POW with emotional issues, and shouldn't be left alone. I've arranged for a live-in nurse for her already..."

"Yes.. a mechanic, of sorts." Before Nana could get another word in, however, the announcement fell upon her ears, causing them to twitch a little. Squinting some, she took in a deep breath, "It seems that there's been.. an incident." Her voice was a bit shaky, but she'd dealt with worse.

"I suppose we'll continue this conversation later."

"Hai." Cherry said mutely, a little put off that Blueberry decided her shrug meant a solid No. ... People have changed... She thought to herself mysteriously before moving up to a console on the bridge. She wasn't even supposed to be here, she wasn't part of the crew. Or of the right rank, supposedly. But oh well.

Utlizing the console in a way one shall not describe, she sent in a vocal message to the Shosa she was ordered to send too. "Shosa. Hanako --" A note of the lack of formality on the ex-Princess, " -- Hanako appears to have been forcefully apprehended by unknown hostilities. Yaichiro gave chase but was unable to neutralize the threat and the hostiles have escaped." Military, yo ho! "He has been injuried and is on his way to the... Um... Whatever this ship was. We are searching for Hanako now. Get on a shuttle for standby to intercept the hostiles or return to the ship immediately."

And then she cut her vocals off from the channel and paid more attention to the other task; Locating the Blue haired 'fiend'. She attempted to access PANTHEON for this information, and as well as getting a overhead view via a satellite of any sort above looking downward to get a fix on the various crewmate's, for lack of a better word, location, although with almost no intel on the hostiles she wouldn't beable to find them through a overhead visual of the planet.

PANTHEON located Hanako's communicator somewhere at a local civilian cargo spaceport. It didn't know if the Taisa was with the device or not. They'd have to investigate.

"We probably shouldn't tell the government until we have the facts straight. It could create an incident," Blueberry observed. "If we do, the First Officer will have to be the one to tell them."

"While I understand, the fact remains that the Second Squadron's CO is missing, likely abducted. Command must be notified of the little data we have so far. However, you're right, it is the XO's responsibility to inform them. Time is critical, though. I recommend ordering all ships which are still parked there to be grounded, and all ships which left between the abduction and that time to be investigated. Also, freeze loading and unloading."

Yaichiro said, before wincing from the pain in his arm.

Blueberry became increasingly frustrated as she continued to rummage through the cabinets looking for something to dull the pain. Finally, she ended up just grabbing a standard Star Army Medical Kit and getting the local anesthetic from it, setting the syringe on a nearby rolling table.

There were no doctors aboard so Blueberry summoned technicians Kaede and Kaori to the medical lab to help her operate on Toshiro. She had the two technicians remove all of Yaichiro's clothing and look for entry and exit wounds, or any other injuries.

Yaichiro's arm was obviously broken. In addition, there were multiple cuts and lacerations, burn marks from sparks, and several medium-sized pieces of shrapnel...the accident was not kind to him, but he wasn't in mortal danger.

Blueberry and the Nishizaki sisters cleaned Toshiro's body off with some disinfectant solution. Blueberry then administered the anesthetic to the blood vessels in the area of the broken arm and after waiting a moment for it to take effect, set the bone in place and began injecting hemosynth fluid into the area to accelerate the healing. Meanwhile, the sisters lightly picked out the shrapnel present in Yaiciro's skin and sprayed the healing fluid onto his cuts and then covered them with synthetic bandages.

Up on the bridge, Blackberry swiveled her chair to face Cherry. "All systems online. We will be ready to move as soon as someone shuts the cargo ramp/door." The purple-skinned sprite then called down to Pineapple on a ship telephone, "Please close the rear door."

"But my STV is still out there! And what about Midori and the captain?" Pineapple protested.

Yaichiro's cuts began to heal, though his arm would likely be broken for a few more hours. The biggest concern was likely the burning, which was harder for hemosynthetic technology to heal unless cut away.

Misaki stopped dead as she and Kim began putting part of their shopping into the shuttle. It started to come to life when she got into the seat. "Eucharis...Eucharis this is Kurusu Shosa. We're half the planet away getting anywhere near Kyoto soon is going to be a problem. Hitting orbit will make this faster. Do we currently have a location, and has command been informed?" She keyed the communication off, then motioned Kim inside. "Hanako-Taisa has been taken, kidnapped, or something. We're getting out of here."

It amazed her anyone could have taken Hanako on Yamatai, of all places but she didn't want to accept there was an easy way to circumvent all the safety measures that the planet was guarded with.

The STV in question, along with Midori entered into the appropriate doorway to the ship just after Pineapple's request. Shaking a little from being alone Midori's hands on the steering wheel were just as white as her hair. The bags and items from their little mall trip were all secured in the back seat, and the STV had a small dent in the front passenger side. Apparently Midori had a little trouble driving.

"I am back with the ship along with the STV... But Hanako-sama is missing...She never came back from the bathroom." Midori's voice was a little shaky as she spoke to MEGAMI.

After cleaning off the excess HS fluid and applying a cast around Yaichiro's arm, Blueberry gave him some burn cream to use over the next few days and proclaimed him fit for duty.

"You're in charge now, Yaichiro," she reminded him. "You should get to the bridge. Please don't be too rough with your cast."

Once Midori parked the STV, Pineapple closed the rear cargo door and called Blackberry up on the bridge. "All set!"
