RP: YSS Eucharis [Mission 4] The Chase

Blinking repeatedly as she was halfway to the co-pilot's seat, Kim froze in the spot as Misaki's words reached her ears, and the words finally registrated in her mind. The Taisa, kidnapped? The soldier dragged herself into the chair and glanced over to the senior officer, seeking some kind of information from the other woman.

"Stars... how the hell can this happen on bloody YAMATAI!?" The redhead exclaimed as she started all the pre-flight chekcs and warmed up the engines as she nodded for Misaki to take off with the shuttle.

"And all I got with me is my gun and a knife... I should have taken a bloody PA with me..." Kim growled as she looked over to Misaki again, feeling oddly disturbed at the turn of events.

 

[Toshiro]

After thanking Blueberry and the sisters, Yaichiro headed for the bridge, though his burns still stung. He had been redressed in the grey panels of his station, but for the time being found himself in the Command Chair once again.

"Let Midori-san in, inform her of the situation...she has a right to know. Get this ship ready for take-off as soon as the XO arrives. In the meantime, get all the data on ships which left that particular launching site from the abduction time to now. Try to analyze the communicator's data and determine a time-frame for when it was dumped, and pictures, etc. The Taisa is resourceful, and may have left a clue behind for us.

Send the XO to the bridge immediately upon boarding, and have MEGAMI brief her en route."

 

[Fay]

Valen nodded once again. "Yes, I look forward to it. It seems like work is calling.." He sighed, a little unhappy since their conversation was interrupted, but in the military, work always comes first. "What's the situation so far?" he asked Eucharis' MEGAMI.

(Megami explained the situation)

 

[Miyako]

"This is no good, damnit!" Misaki growled, sending a message to the Eucharis to meet her in low orbit so she could get aboard faster. "Kim make sure command knows about this. They could be heading for orbit or worse, hopefully they'll get PANTHEON to work. Get changed fast." She nodded to Kim when the shuttle lifted slowly off the pad, then shot upwards into the atmosphere as fast as she could manage. "The longer we wait the harder it will be to find a target that doesn't want us to catch them."

She sent a quick series of command to the Eucharis, as well as one that would get everyone ready in case Hanako wasn't found by other authorities.

Put all non-essential crew in power armours and be ready to depart. Meet me at the assigned coordinates and monitor any possible leads while I'm en route. See if you can track her by her communicator with PANTHEON's help. We'll see you soon, keep me updated.

"I want you in an armour as soon as we dock, Kurosora-hei." Misaki looked over to see what her progress was.

 

[Wes]

Blackberry raised an eyebrow and lifted the ship off the ground and into the air. The gunship's landing gear tucked itself into the hull as the ship raced up through the atmosphere.

Blueberry washed her hands off in the medical bay, then headed up to the armor bay in case they were going to try for a rescue mission. After donning her armor, the nurse waited with a medical kit.

 

[Gamerofthegame]

Cherry nodded softly to the acting Taisa and began to input the data to get the information required; The time of Hanako's abduction, ship take offs, and so on and such.

Although, she was distracted for a minute or so from a notice she got a message from Star Army command... Which made her furrow her brows in part anger, part annoyance. More of the latter then the former. I said I didn't want to be aboard this vessel, Hanako! However, she didn't say this out loud.

"Do we have a power armor for myself? Preferably a Daisy." She inquired out loud to either Blackie or the MEGAMI. Although... It seems so werid just calling it MEGAMI... I wonder if it is like Asamoya...

 

[Toshiro]

"Keep an eye on that communicator in case it moves, though it was more likely ditched. All non-essential personnel are to don Power Armor and prepare for sortie at any time. Pilot, please enter these co-ordinates. This will be our rendevous point with Kurusu-Shosa and her company. In the meantime, we will continue our investigation. These are orders direct from Kurusu-Shosa."

 

[Krieg]

"Huh? But, I'm not a member of.." Nana's voice trailed off, and she rolled her eyes, the little voice in her head telling her it was the right thing to do. Usually, she ignored it, but she didn't want to look bad in front of Valen, so she begrudgingly gave in; this time, anyway.

"Okay, guess we're going people-fishing."

 

[Kimberly M]

"Hai, Kurusu-Shosa." Was all Kim said as she rapidly sent the message to Star Army command on Misaki's behalf, requesting the aid of PANTHEON in the search and rescue of Hanako. Sending the message, Kim hurriedly began to change out of her new civilian outfit and into her uniform again to prepare for her Power Armour once they docked.

"All set, Shosa!" The soldier exclaimed as she zipped up her uniform and strapped her knife sheath and pistol to her sides and returned to the co-pilot's seat as the shuttle raced towards the Eucharis, where her power armor was waiting.

 

[Wes]

The Eucharis now hung in orbit over Kyoto, as part of a crowd of other starships, mostly larger than the gunship, that were there on various business. Most of the crew still wasn't in armor, though, since no ship-board announcement had been made and "non-essential personnel" wasn't defined.

Star Army Command (specifically Taisho Yui) responded with an order that information about Hanako's disappearance was must not be leaked out, and to find and recover Hanako.

 

[Miyako]

Misaki was next, and she changed back into her uniform as quickly as possible before the shuttle approached the Eucharis. Sliding back into the pilot's seat, she docked them with the gunship and let out a sigh. "So if her kidnapping is a secret that probably means just us. Maybe SAINT but they take forever to do anything." The officer got out of her seat, and pecked Kim quickly one last time. "Get to the launch bay. I'll be on the bridge this needs to be sorted out."

A few minutes later, Misaki stepped onto the bridge in a MINDY with the helmet tucked in her arm, she had slipped out of her uniform and into one on her way to the command center. "Kage Shosa. Did we find anything else out? Anyone who isn't needed to run this ship should have been in armours by now. I know you've all served on small ships before." The officer came up next to the command chair wearing a stern look of concentration on her face. "Where was he last headed? There's two things, either the assailant took her somewhere, or is already in a ship of some kind trying to get her off world."

The NH-27's voice echoed through the ship.

As of this moment the rescue is considered classified by command. No one can know what we're doing specifically. The following crew will standby to launch in power armour:

~Nana
~Cherry

Everyone else is authorized to upgrade their armament with submachine guns. Pineapple standby in the Golden Apple.

We're going to find her.

 

[Kimberly M]

Nodding as Misaki pecked her on the cheek and left towards the Eucharis' bridge to take care of buisness there, Kim raced towards the launch bay to get into her Power Armour. When the soldier reached ground, there would be hell to pay for Hanako's kidnappers!

As she entered the Launch Bay, Kim rapidly began looking over the MINDY M2-2A, untill she found one in the popular "Bobcat" configuration, knowing that having teleportation abilities was a must for this kind of mission. That, and the combination of shields mounted on this particular configuration as well as it's firepower would prove a benefit.

Climbing into the Power Armour, Kim felt it close around her and her SPINE system connect to the suit as her awareness expanded to encompass the MINDY itself as it became her second skin, just like all those times during training.

Kurosora Kim, suited up and ready to go, Kurusu-Shosa. The soldier thought to her lover and currently commanding officer while she flexed the MINDY's fingers as she would herself before combat as she grasped a Ke-M4-W2901 Mk.I Light Armor Service Rifle, just for a bit more anti-infantry firepower.

 

[Fay]

After a while, Valen had entered the bay to get into a power armor. However, there was a problem. "Uh..." Valen was actually staring down at the PAs. He was six feet tall, which was a little too tall for many of these armors. The Santo Hei scratched the back of his head, wondering how he should proceed.

 

[Miyako]

Sasorix, I'm going to make a DAISY for you. In the meantime get armed and standby you'll join Pineapple if it's not ready by the time we need you. Misaki had been paying attention, and regretted that she couldn't put the man in a Kylie, he was just a little too tall for that but if Hanako was (she hoped) still on the planet then the DAISY would be more than useful in combat at that point, and knew it would be good enough if they had to board a ship. The Shosa assigned Nishizaki-heisho (Kaori) to the task, and made it her priority.

Turning to Yaichiro again, she waited to hear what they'd found out about her last known whereabouts. Waiting in orbit for her trail to get colder wouldn't do. The data could come right away, or in hours. She was hoping there would be a sighting somewhere, Hanako wasn't exactly unknown anywhere she went.

 

[Toshiro]

"Blackberry, access that spaceport's database and get the data on those ships. Also, access the communicator's logs and playback anything, ANYTHING of importance. And order them to freeze all incoming and outgoing ships. Tell them...some military hardware was stolen. Be nonspecific. If they don't like it, they can talk to Yui-sama herself."

He'd assumed the bridge crew, and in fact the ship, would act on general orders given, but it seemed to be different from the Asuka...then again, Asuka had a dedicated bridge specialist.

Yaichiro rose and stood aside for the other Shosa to seat herself.

"Mistress Shosa, We've tracked her communicator to a spaceport, but it's not moving...I suspect it'd been dumped there. We're trying to get a list of ships which have left from then to now, and trying to get the spaceport to seal its doors to avoid any more ships from being added to the list."

 

[Wes]

Blackberry nodded without looking at Yaichiro, hiding a frown of annoyance. There were better people to give such an order to than the ship's pilot. After putting the ship on automatic pilot, she called down to the airport, and asked them to, "please pause takeoff operations until otherwise directed, as we are conducting a criminal investigation which may involve your spaceport. Please also send us a list of ships that took off tonight, the times they departed, their owners, and their destinations. We assure you we will allow you to resume operation as soon as possible..."

Meanwhile, Hanako's communicator rang but nobody picked up.

 

[Krieg]

Nana was more than hesitant to enter the armor bay. Her knowledge and experience with power armor was minimal. She scraped by, only by the skin of her teeth, and now she was standing before a good portion of them. Fix them? Sure. Operate them?

"You know, perhaps I should stay behind and.. make sure nobody tries to infiltrate the ship." Wow, that sounded bad. Awful, even. "...ehh..crap, that was an order, wasn't it?" Reluctantly (and with a bit of the potty mouth she picked up from Kessah.), Nana glanced from left to right, wrinkling her nose as she stared begrudgingly towards the Mindy that seemed to giving her a glare right back.

 

[Fay]

Thank you, Madame Misaki. I appreciate it. Valen responded, very grateful that he didn't have to squeeze into one of the smaller power armors. Looking around, he tried to recognize which one of the sprites was Pineapple. Eventually, he just asked the MEGAMI, whom pointed out for him which one she was. The bulky Yamataian quietly stood next to Pineapple as he waited for his DAISY to finish being created. Now that he had found her, he'd rather not have to try to find her again later.

 

[Gamerofthegame]

Cherry growled softly to herself as the message pinpointed her as one of the combat crew. It had been a while... And... she still wasn't supposed to be part of the crew.

... Oh well.

She left the bridge without a word and made her way down the somewhat familiar passageways of the ship, making a armor load out for herself for when she arrived to get suited up;

Daisy M6 -- Spacey Variant
Ke-M6-W2901 - Main weapon
Ke-M4-W2901 - Secondary weapon
CFWEP pack - Custom; One Environmental suit and one Type 28 pistol
Otherwise default

Her plan was, of course, to be the boarder. The stuff in the CFWEP pack was for Hanako, of course. If they were in space, then the Spacey outfit would be used to board and then get her out in the suit, while using the secondary weapon to not wound Hanako fatally in any cross fire, as plasma tends to do. And of course, to arm her with a pistol.

She was thoughtful, like that.

 

[Jo Midori]

"What...Am I to do?" Midori asked to no one in particular. She knew she would be all but useless with a gun in her hand, the thought of such a thing threatening to give rise to the small contents in her stomach, if there was even anything in there.

Rather then simply stand near the STV, Midori made her way to the kitchen, all the while looking around to hopefully locate Apple or Mango maybe. The two sprites would help her to remember the fond times aboard the Sakura.
