When Talbain and Ice had burst through the wall, Francis began opening fire to cover his squadmates. He aimed for the Ripper, hoping that the surprise shots at it would distract it long enough for Talbain to open fire on it and bring it down. He fired five rounds on semi-automatic at the mech, the rounds cracking down to their target. Francis kept his snakeskin activated, because that would hopefully prevent the NMX from locating him and returning fire. The longer he could stay hidden them more damage he could do.
