Kai wondered at why Mara was obviously trying to skirt the subject. He tried again to remove her hands, but completely failed as the sprite tried her hardest to distract him. "I met him just fine, He, Yoroko and I talked a few times, and I've seen him, but he knew who I was... And once again, Why is he here if he left to Fort Ready?" the Yamataian said, trying to get around Mara and at least over to the Power armors, so he could check his own as well as try to figure out what was up with Asher.

Mara made sure she was still in the way and the center of attention. "Because we just respawned him, silly. Didn't I already say so?"

"Uh, No, You didn't." Kai answered Mara back, looking at his own Daisy, with its customized chest plate and insert that he had spent some time and effort installing. "And Isn't that Illegal? Last I heard there weren't people dying at Fort Ready." It was obvious that Kai was vaguely catching on, and if Mara could tell, there was some annoyance under his mock nonchalance.

Mara persistently hopped in the line of sight between Kai and his modified Daisy, grinning. "Cheese! Well, I guess they'll have to arrest me after the mission, since this was my doing. But that means we'll have to win it first - and it looked like we could use all the help we could get."

The sprite's sandy eyebrows joined into a frown, and her expression was one of mock severity. "Besides, Asher would want to be here. This is like the fight of a lifetime. Good against Evil. Man against Machine. Eight legs versus two legs. Cute against Ugly. You know."

Kai just stared blankly at the Sprite.

"I'm not even going to try. It would be bad for me. I am so very against this idea, but It's not like I can change it." he stated, simply,bodily picking up Mara and removing her from his path. He would have to 're-meet' Asher later on, and hope that Asher was up for Teamwork in the meantime. The Yamataian was resigned that there was nothing he could do about the ship's, and by extension Mara's, decision to revive Asher even though he wasn't actually dead.

"Ey, Mara, who's this blonde fruitcake?" Asher asked, pointing directly at Kai. His tone wasn't exactly hushed either, loud enough for most of the bay to hear it. In a way, he did not mean it to be offensive, but still would've like to know how the other Yamataian knew so much about him

"It's Kai Nakamura, another infantry pilot. You've met before, but you don't remember because it hasn't happened for you yet." Mara answered Asher.

And then, she kept babbling:

"You know, Claymere-Taii was very concerned about Asher's respawning, but it was actually my second idea. My first had been to respawn in duplicates people we already had here!"

"It sounded brilliant. I mean, instead of having Nakamura team be Kai, Nimura and Tsuya... it could've been Kai, Kai and Kai. That could've been unstoppable on the battlefield... though there would be some communication problem. I mean, I something bad happened I would yell 'watch out, Kai!' and they'd all feel concerned. Creepy! Not to mention there'd be two more mouths to feed and two new bunks to fill up, which could be logistically problematic..."

"Wait, so you're tellin' me that respawnin' my body was 'your idea'?" Asher said with a little shock, not exactly expecting Mara to be at the center of this conspiracy. To be honest, he had never actually thought who was behind the whole idea of bringing him back. To him, it seemed like no one knew and it was just some sort of glitch. At least, that's what he thought.

Kai just stared at Mara, feeling that she was crazy. While it was better than being normal in the Yamataian's books, she was a little TOO crazy. "I am very glad you did not do that." Kai said, before turning to Asher.

"Hello, I know I haven't met you before, I've just met You before. I'm Kai Nakamura, one of the Power Armor pilots here." The Tall yamataian held out a hand for Asher to shake, hoping the malifaran did not hurt him in the process.

Mara was about to launch into an explanation, but Kai talked. She politely waited until Kai was done talking and then launched into an explanation right when Asher would've returned Kai's greeting.

"Well, yes and no. It was You-Know-Who, but You-Know-Who is kinda of like the computer, which is sort of the MEGAMI, and seeing that I'm the MEGAMI's avatar, that's sort of me so-"

"Mara," Nimura, not looking away from the armor joint she was verifying, interrupted.

"Yes?"

"Be quiet, or I will hurt you."

Mara gulped. "O-okay."

The two sat there for a long time as Nao sniffled onto Junko's shoulder. It felt like an eternity to her, even though for Nao, this was all very sudden. But when did life go smoothly? For most of her short life, it had been bumpy, quiet and unnoticed. And now, something else. Something else indeed. When she finally stopped, Nao pushed herself off Junko's shoulder, and carefully wiped the other sprite's plates clean. "Got to look your best." She sarcastically spoke, a wry smile for all to see. "I guess this is it then, I've kept you waiting long enough. I'l..." The sprite mulled over her words, and finally shoved them out, "I'll see you later! I will!"

Asher just simply looked at Kai dully with his blood-colored eyes as the other pilot introduced himself so politely. For some reason, Asher felt sort off with this guy. Kai was so Yamataian looking, with the exception of his hair, it hurt. All Nakamura needed was some long flowing hair and that would've been enough to have been sealed in Asher's book of stereotypes. Yet, the short hair took away from the Yamataian-blondie look this guy had going. So after just inspecting Kai's hand for a few moments, Asher threw his own out to the man's.

"Alright, Naka, good to finally meet ya. Again." Asher grinned slightly, his hand gripping Kai's with a great deal of force.

Kai grinned at this newfangled Asher, it was just like meeting the original over again. Except Kai looked a little different now, and Asher was exactly the same. "I think you'll like the modifications I've done to my armor" Kai said, Squeezing back as firmly as he could before releasing the shake.

"I took the chest off so it doesn't look like a freaking girl."

Kai largely ignored Nimura's comment, but looked back to Mara, and spoke at her once more. "For a being that's linked to an immensely powerful quantum computer which is also a highly advanced AI, you sure can be dense, Mara."

Mara protested: "But I thought glibness was part of my charm!"

Nimura turned her head to look Mara's way with a half-lidded look.

"Right," Mara paled, her ears drooping. "Back to being quiet now."

Asher looked back at Mara, and then Nimura, and then back at Mara. In one second, he was about to say something that would have gotten him in trouble if he said loudly enough. Though, his attention was drawn away by Kai.

"Now, why in tha' fuckin' world would you wanna' do that?" Asher said in surprise, noticing the chestless Daisy. "She's not even a Daisy if she ain't got tits! More like a... Donny or something. I mean... how does that feel?" Asher looked at Kai eerily, "Slippin' into a fleshy 'guy' armor, naked."

"I replaced the insert with a much less organic one. Had too much trouble with the flesh inserts doing things like burning and making an entire arm inoperable." Kai answered, plainly. Obviously, Asher was a strange person, and Kai should have expected this, but the Original Asher had been gone for a while. "I don't view the armors as people." he said simply.

Kai watched at Nimura and Mara. the two were like a timid cat and a dominant cat, with one hissing slightly to make the other do what she wanted. "Mara, why don't you assert yourself more?" he asked, trying to forget the bulk of the current situation.

"Because I've seen what she could do to Hinoto," Mara answered before beating a quick retreat out of the armor bay, seeing that Nimura had not stopped looking at her.

With Mara out of sight, Nimura returned to her inspection.

"Tch, animal." Asher shook his head, looking away in a exhausted fashion, the shrug of his shoulders most evident. Then looked Mara and Nimura's way. Before he could say anything, Mara was already leaving the Armor Bay, which caused Asher's heart to sink. That sprite seemed like his only true friend in the world right now, and Nimura ran her off.

"Sheesh!" Asher said in a hushed tone to Kai, "Why's Nimura gotta' be such a cold-tit bitch sometimes?"

"I'd say it's women-problems, but she's a Neko so she doesn't have those" Kai whispered to Asher, before saying in proper volume "I think she just thinks that maturity means you can't have fun."

Kai hoped very much that Nimura wouldn't do anything because of his comments, but knew that she probably wouldn't, seeing as they needed him for the battle and that he would not be very effective if he were injured.

"Yeah? Well that don't give her tha' right t'treat Mara like that, iss' fuckin' unfair to her." Asher hissed at Kai, his own anger furling within him. Trying to make it appear he was having only a more than casual conversation with Kai. "Back home in Malifar, we didn't have asshats like her makin' other people feel bad about themselves. Honestly, someone needs t'fuck her already so she get a smile on her Yui-damn face and leave otha' people alone."
