Even using his body's gravity manipulation, and Ramiro's help getting up hurt not as bad as breaking the leg initially, but it was close. Pain is natures way of letting you know you are still alive. Never believed that when the instructors said it. But it is better than the alternative, Sune thought. "Thank you Ramiro. Time to get moving."

He looked at his communicator and saw the new routes that Junko's query had found. Air shafts where the most direct, but with 3 Yamataians, 1 Valkyrja, and 2 Elysians it was not exactly viable. The second most expedient route was a set of stairs intended for emergency use. Great, ten decks worth of stairs. No choice. "Endoh-Hei, lead the way, to the emergency stairwell. Valencia-Heisho you go with her. Takeda-Heisho and I will take up the rear. We still have a mission to complete."

Kumiko's face showed a bit of concern. Even with the gravity manip, that's going to be tough on him... However, she turned, and started for the stairwell, motioning for the designers to follow her and Ramiro. "Takeda-Heisho? I'm pretty sure Jalen-Heisho is doing his best to not slow us down, but could you support him as best you can? He's putting an awful lot of pressure on himself..."

After helping Sune up Ramiro followed Kumiko towards the emergency stairwell. About half way there he paused for a moment to make sure the remaining designers were following them. He then continued forward. When Ramiro reached the stairwell he slung the SMG off of his back and gripped it tightly, waiting for the others to catch up a little before proceeding.

The designers silently fell in behind Kumiko carrying the data modules that the ship designs were safely stored in. They were still dealing with the loss of their co-worker, but the need to get to safety helped keep them motivated. "Do you think the Mishhu will be boarding the station soon?" one of them asked as they walked down the hallway.

Sune meanwhile balanced himself and kept an eye out for anything. He wanted to wait for the team to be at the stairwell before he started moving down to join them. Soon enough he would have to make his way down with Junko's assistance. So a few minutes of standing still meant a few minutes without jarring the leg.

Ramiro nodded to Kumiko before busting through the door into the stairwell. He stuck his head into the center area and looked up to where they needed to go. "It doesn't look like we have any visitors, yet." He paused for a second to let Sun catch up before carefully proceeding up the stairs, keeping his gun pointed at every door that they passed.

Kumiko followed Ramiro closely, though she pointed her gun ahead of them, rather than at the doors. "Keep your eyes on the doors, I'll let you know if anyone pops up ahead of us." With that, she took a hand off of her NSP, and motioned to the designers to stick very close behind her and Ramiro.

The designers had no desire to be separated from their rescuers so they kept as close as they could safely manage going up the stairs.

Sune made his way down to the stairwell with the Junko's assistance. There was no sign of people moving in the passageway they were leaving, the sudden change from having frantic people making their way to stillness made Sune concerned. Perhaps they have all gotten to their evacuation stations. The personnel here surely have been trained to do so quickly.

Sune entered the stairwell and looked up at the winding stairs. He grit his teeth and started the arduous task of climbing them with only one good leg and leaning on Junko for assistance. Each step jarred the broken leg sending new waves of pain through him.

When Ramiro reached the correct floor he paused for everyone else to catch up. Something just doesn't feel right. He eyed the door that they needed to go through before placing his hand on the handle. "Kumiko, cover me." Ramiro slung he SMG over his back and grabbed his NSP with his free hand. He pointed it at the door and then threw the door open, immediately side stepping and kneeling, his gun out in front of him.

There was no activity in the corridor immediately in front of the door. Off in the distance the unmistakable sound of gunfire could heard. After a few moments the gunfire tapered off, and were replaced by the sounds of klaxons, and a voice signaling that a fire was present on the same deck.

"Move your asses to corridor junction 23-Delta. We need to get that fire under control. The automatic fire suppression system is offline." a male voice yelled as the sound of running feet passed by the open door.

A glimpse of people running by in fire fighting suits could be seen, and then the sound of gun fire much closer could be heard as well as the screams of people being shot and hitting the floor. Another group of Elysians just mowed down the emergency responders.

Kumiko nodded, taking up a position over him. When the fire fighters ran by, she turned back, and looked in both directions on the stairwell. "Doesn't sound like things are going too great. Lets get out of here." She glanced back down the stairs towards where Junko and Sune were. "Jalen-Heisho? Looks like we're clear ahead. How should we proceed?"

A loud warning klaxon sounded throughout the station, followed by an echoing female voice. "Please proceed in an orderly fashion to your designated emergency evacuation zone. This facility will automatically self-destruct in five minutes."

After the klaxon and the warning about self-destruct Sune replied to Kumikowhile forcing himself to take several steps at a time. "Well after that announcement with all due haste."

By the time he had reached the landing Kumiko was on he was sweating rather heavily from the exertion. He paused to take a couple of breaths to ease the pain. "From this point on we keep moving side by side with as much speed as possible, we do not have time to waste. Anything hostile that gets in our way we take it down as quickly as possible. Move out."

Ramiro continued onward, making sure to stay next to the group. He was a little freaked out now that the alert had sounded. His NSP was held firmly in front of him, his finger twitching towards the trigger. I dare someone to get in my way! NMX and a trigger happy Ramiro equals some holes in couple of those freaks. Ramiro had trouble staying with the group as he kept getting in too much of a hurry and would get slightly ahead before stopping and waiting for the others.

Kumiko followed, making sure the designers and the rest of the team were with them the whole way. Noticing Ramiro was getting ahead, she sighed. "Ramiro-san, try to stay more with the group. We can't afford to lose anyone, and We can't afford to spread our protection out."

A group of three Elysians came out in front of the team, firing their weapons. "You will join us." They yelled as the they sprayed ceiling of the hallway as an attempt to intimidate. The ship designers did the expediant thing and hit the floor.

Sune pushed himself against the wall, brought his weapon up but could not get a clear shot without shooting his teammates.

"Over my dead body we will!" Ramiro dropped to one knee and fired two poorly aimed shots. Getting irritated he stood up and switched his NSP to heavy mode. "We don't have time for this!" He fired one heavy shot at the feet of their enemies and tried to fire a second, but the gun only clicked. Irritated he dropped to his stomach and started to switch magazines.

Kumiko dropped to one knee, and brought her NSP to bear, sighting in on the assailants, but hopefully giving Sune and Junko a somewhat cleared range to shoot through. After all, she was no combat specialist, she would take all of the help she could get. She fired off two shots at the rightmost target, aiming for his chest.

Ramiro's heavy mode shot knocked the Elysians down, but they started to get back to their feet. "You... will... join... us..." one of them said.

Kumiko's shots to the Elysian on the right caused the attacker to crumple into a heap of twitching limbs.

With Ramiro and Kumiko dropping to a lower position Sune now had an unobstructed view at the would be attackers. They are getting back up? How is that possible? he wondered.

Sune aimed at the center attacker with the acquired Type 27 NSP, fired with the weapon in pulse mode. The Elysian was hit by multiple blasts as the weapon continued to fire until Sune released the trigger. The Elysian collapsed with his chest smoldering.

Halfway through reloading the magazine Ramiro saw the enemies get up. No, that isn't possible. He dropped his NSP, grabbed the SMG that was still slung over his shoulders, and held down the trigger, sweeping over the enemies about 5 times before that too ran out of ammo. He threw the SMG at one Elysian, grabbed his NSP, and slammed a magazine inside of it.

Ramiro's torrent of bullets from the SMG finished off the surviving Elysians.

Sune moved away from the wall and surveyed the area. Just up the corridor he could see the abandoned custom's station. "We are almost to the Eucharis. We need to get the designers and the blueprints aboard the ship. Once we get to the ship, Valencia-Heisho, Kumiko-Hei take up a defensive position at the entrance to bay to cover the other teams."

Sune took his communicator out and signaled the ship, "Himeya-Hei, Charlie Team is returning, we have the blueprints and two of the designers. We are establishing a perimeter to protect the Eucharis and assist the other teams. Do you have a status on Alpha and Beta teams?"
