This suggestion has been implemented. Votes are no longer accepted.
This post states that a functioning Nepleslian Senate chose Gaelan Sanders as Premier of Nepleslia.
Sky Marshal Gaelan Sanders was announced as former Premier Gorman's successor in an emergency Senate meeting held early this morning.

edit: Oops, sorry for restating what's been said :<

And yours says that the senate is in essence a rubber stamp, while the Gunhand's post shows that any pushback from the Senate is ignored by the Sky Marshal. Sure sounds like a military junta to me.

It was about how Gaelan was an unknown with no previous political experience... It's not an open thing for interpretation. I wrote the damn thing

And that bit about Nepleslia Prime? That was to be a plot device.

Look what happened when Trump was elected... California had a fit and threatened leave the union...

Sounds familiar don't it? That was what was supposed to be going on there

Very interesting.

During the JP, we were primarily running off of what In-Character examples we could find during that time period; I didn't know about Lamb's OOC explanation while we were writing. Besides' Acewing's example, we were also running off of this one here that Lamb posted. That one implied that it was basically just the senators and such meeting in their version of the Oval Office. Based off of that, I'm under the impression that the Senate isn't operating in the official capacity; otherwise SAINT would have noticed, and the politicians there at the IRC wouldn't have thought Nepleslia was senate-less as a result.

I think you're worried about your RP being affected by this. It's not. This changes nothing that you did and does not mean you need to retcon. I don't know if you're going that far in your thought process, but I'm certainly not.

otherwise SAINT would have noticed
Please don't assume to know what SAINT thinks. "Intel" in an RP is a tricky thing; we essentially know whatever the truth of canon is. And that's determined by both RP (which appears to show that a senate exists in Nepleslia) and FM illumination (which shows both the former FM Lamb and the current FM Gunhand saying a senate exists in Nepleslia).
we were also running off of this one here that Lamb posted
And that post says a senate exists in Nepleslia and they're waiting for a new building.
The Senate has been operating again for over a year now, though we've been working from the relative obscurity of the Sky Marshall's office on Nepleslia Prime until the construction of the new senate hall on the homeworld is finished.

idk why anyone's even coming into this thread to argue about something that already exists. This point keeps coming up in NTSE threads lately but it bears repeating again:
So... What do you think I should change about the submission, exactly?

Well, go with a history page. Unlike Yamatai's senate, Nepleslia's is a lot more storied. Enough that it's been tricky to keep track of whether or not it's still annihilated or not.
