RP: NSS Alliance [[NSS Alliance]] In the Wake of the Storm

Henry gave another odd glance at Tweak, leaning his head to her little. With his free hand, he pulled out his notepad, put it on top of his book and wrote her this message: 'My friend seems to have done the pleasantries of introduction. He's an erstwhile combatant and friend. Pleased to meet you.' He then tapped his pen against the page and added this: 'Oh, I don't like speaking. If you didn't notice.'

Henry was a bit odd in appearance compared to an average marine. His short, bumfluff beard, pale skin, somewhat skeletal facial features and heavy reading spectacles left a bit to be desired. His eyes were cybernetic, and had a constant glow green, which often lead people to wonder why he wore glasses in the first place.

Tweak read the notes, then nodded. "Ah. Okay. " She glanced at him again, flashing another nervous smile that quickly melted away as she lost any ideas of how to reply to something like that. So she put her hands on her lap and looked back down at her knees and didn't say anything more, glad that she didn't sit next to him.

The abundance of people in the room, and the fact that people were still arriving, was making her skittish. The small engineer would have done almost anything to get out of there right about then...if it wouldn't have almost guaranteed her dismissal, she thought.

Where this some romantic flick, the song "Don't Stop Believing" would have been playing in the background. The automata and Druidess would have shared a couple of nervous glances and a shaky handshake. And later in the movie, they would transcend automata-humanoid relations and go the distance. But this was not a silly movie. This was inside of a spaceship with space marines, androids, and some dude with a cloth over his mouth.

THIS. IS. NSS ALLIANCE.

Keid gently held the scarf and wrapped it around it's shoulders, fluffing it, tugging and pulling it in the right places to make it appear more full. His efforts to make himself "faa-byooo-lousss" only distracted him from that beautiful, full head of blue for a moment. It's one eye suddenly moved around and positioned itself in the right way so as to take a look at Dream's face. Her hair. Her beautiful blue hair. Like a cascade of icy water onto the sun-cooked body. Shocking, at first. But savored and oh so refreshing.

The Automata got onto one knee in front of the magnificently full head of hair, almost as if it where some robotic god. For once, it had felt as if it had to protect and beautify something other than itself. For once, the Automata found unconditional love. "Your hair. Is beautiful." It said flatly, ignoring the fact that the Freespacer was not facing him. "Perhaps you could put some LEDs in your hair. Perhaps white LEDs to give you a shimmering look. Or perhaps some red LEDs to make it look like strawberry-covered, blueberry cake."

"Ohhh shit, if it isn't Stromm!" Ran walked on over to the entering Sergeant, feeling the dull ache of recently irritated eyes. Ran had left four cups of coffee at the table he was at, one of which tipped over and dripped excess coffee onto the floor, much to the despair of the few caretakers in the room. Ran was starting to feel just a little bit antisocial, and the fact that Stromm was a Sergeant, made him gravitate to him even more.

"How'd you guys do wherever you went?" Ran had popped a piece of nicotine gum into his mouth, something that he had bummed off of one of the tech sentries on his way over. "...What the fuck is up with that face piece?" His prosthetic hand started to inch it's way up to lift up the piece of cloth on his face. The whole moment could be homo erotic, of course. Depending on how the reader interprets it.

Stromm watched Ran approach, and began to try and think of what to do in response. Though, fate acted quickly as Ran tried lift his facial wrap. The Sergeant raised his cybernetic arm and shot the blade out his forearm, holding it above Ran's wrist to prevent the other Marine from lifting his wrap any higher. A silently howlish growl came from Stromm as he held the blade in position.

"..." Not essentially thrilled at having a knife held to him, Ran lifted the top of his wrist to the knife and gently slid it along the blade, holding it up for a second to reveal it's non-organic nature, and lowering it back down. "What the fuck happened to you, Sergeant?" Ran moved the piece of gum from between his teeth and lips, chewed it, and placed it in a different area between his teeth and lips.

"That fucking little growl isn't the most normal thing to hear."

Dream grabbed a lock of her own hair and pulled it down in her field of view, looking a bit surprised at Keid's comment. "You think so? Thank you... Well... I guess I might. I think Red LEDs would be better, more... colorful, now that you mention it."

SHE WAS TAKING HIM SERIOUSLY.

"It's been a while since I last changed my hairstyle, anyway. A week, maybe even more."

She reached for a large pocket in her belt, and pulled out a large knife. It looked more like a bayonet of black, jagged metal, with a vicious-looking serrated backedge, actually.
With one deft stroke, she cut a small lock of her own hair, held together by a small green ribbon. Putting the knife back away, she gave the lock to Keid.
"Here, take this, Keid." She simply said, with her usual innocent smile, taking a step backwards and giving a good look at him. "Not like you need it, anyway. You already look awesome." She giggled. "Come on now, we must go to this briefing room place."

What appeared to be a small tear ran down the left side of Keid's face, but in all reality, it was probably just excess lubrication fluid for the tracks that his eyes traversed. It only nodded in agreement with her words, admiring how the fluorescent lights played upon that wonderful blue hair. "Red LEDs. Of course." It said flatly, trying to recall how many LEDs of that color it had in that giant box that he forced a Caretaker to bring on board in some totally canon way.

The Automata's attention was directed towards Dream moving her hand towards her belt, and as the knife was produced, it's LED markings pulsed to a slightly alarmed orange color. "W-what..." If it had eyes, they would be the size as saucer plates, as the girl cut off a lock of her own hair. It took the small lock of hair within it's two huge palms, looking upon it as if it were an actual child. "..." Keid then placed it in one of it's compartments at it's waist, and lowered itself to one knee, now slightly shorter than Dream. "You are the stuff of my non-dreams. Hop on."

"Nice to see you two getting along, Henry, Tweak." Harrison said, not even averting his eyes from the glowing screen of the laptop, the soft blue-ish light playing across his lined features, giving his grey eyes and raven hair an older, more distinguished grey-blue color. He swivelled the laptop screen towards Henry.

"Check it out. It's a story i'm working on; kinda amature-ish right now."

Clad all in silver, the soldier standing on the high ridge was a formidable sight, made all the more formidable by the gun, easily the size of him from foot to hip. The six barrels glinted in the waning sun, contrasting the several soldiers that stood in front of him.

The silver man brought the gun to bear on his foes and, as if waiting for the command, bucked and roared in his hand. As if triggered by the shot, more silver-clad, gun toting men went up and over the ridge, down into the melee below. WIthin minutes, the skirmish was over.

"Well, that's one more for the UPP." The lead silver-clad man placed his gun on the ground. "Chalk one up for the good guys."

"Whee! A ride! Thank you, Keid!" Dream squeaked like a little girl, jumping out of her Voidwalker suit and over Keid's shoulders.

Despite its robo-metallic look, the suit could apparently be compressed in a sphere just a bit larger than a soccer ball, because that's the shape it slowly reverted to. Dream grabbed it and, well, didn't have any idea about where to put it, so she just held it in one hand, while pointing forward with the other in what, in her mind, was certainly a dramatic, epic pose. "Let's GO!"

Stromm made a hafting sigh and withdrew his blade. He stiffened his hand up as if it were the claws of a crooked demon. Then he ran the psuedo claw across the point where his jaw was.

Kagura watched the whole scene unfold quietly, thinkinga bout a few things having to do with her own life. But when she noticed Ran picking on Stromm, she chuckled, noticing the gesticulation. "In other words he got slapped like a bitch by a Demon." she chuckled a bit. "Leave him alone Ran or I'll slap you with my metal hand so you can sympathize with him."

Autumn watching the madness of the newcomers and grinned. They certainly made this debriefing more interesting but she was still opposed to the idea of sitting still. She continued to attempt to squirm out of Ian's very firm grip only to make no head way, after a few more minutes of futility, she stopped wiggling and contented herself to be held.. for now. She giggled very softly at the madness of it all and leaned her head against the large cadet with her right hand tapping impatiently against her right thigh.

She took several deep breaths as she tried vainly, to calm down. She knew she had to settle down for the debriefing but she was having a hard time slowing down her steadily racing heartbeat.

The young Marine made her way into the Multipurpose room figuring that after a few hours of wondering around she might as well. Finding a wall to lean on she made herself comfortable, which of coarse meant lighting a cigarette, and waited.

Trey watched as the bandana and jacket clad girl walked in and began talking with Henry. There was something strange about those red eyes, something he might have seen on Yamatai when he got his body transferred, but he couldn't quite put his finger on it. Shaking his head and looking back towards the front of the room, he wondered just how long the 5 minutes was going to take before the briefing.

Re: [[NSS Alliance]] In the Wake of the Stromm

Wazu looked up from his datapad to see that time had once again gotten away from him. “Ally, would you mind increasing the light levels here?” He asked, the computer responding by increasing the illumination on the bridge. The lines of code he had been going over sense the end of the Kennewes Offensive were saved to the data pad for adjustment later. Once the pad was securely fastened back to his belt he picked up his uniform overshirt and slid it back on over his shoulders, at the moment there was somewhere else he needed to be.

Meanwhile Uso had grabbed a sleeping mask and transitioned out of her power armor, leaving her body held tightly in the grey flight suit built around her by the quanta-construct pad when she first put on her armor. A slight spray of sent had been applied to help her keep her feminine smell prior in-between the beginning of the briefing and an upcoming shower.

Both arrived at the multi-function room after a short walk, Uso entering through the door on the opposite side of Wazu before heading in to find or have made a seat for her to lounge around in while Wazu remained focused on his work, choosing to instead find a spot near the wall to lean against while checking the datapad on his hip once more.

"OW! FUCK!" Adrian yelled as Kokuten's finger cleared his eye from its socket. He gripped the table, and kicked the heels of his feet against its side in pain and agitation. "Hurry it up, mate! FUCK!"

===================================

Ian was mostly immune to the squirming of the young armorer sitting beside him, simply sitting and waiting for quite some time. "Oh, fuck it." For the first time in several minutes, the Cadet released his grip on Autumn, and stood. "Screw this waiting. I'm heading back for something to eat in the cafe. You want anything, Autumn?"

Autumn looked up at Ian and smiled brightly. "Somethingto drinkwould beawesome, thankyou!" She gently rocked on her chair, unsure of what to do with herself now that she wasn't being restrained. "Maybeif theyhave somecake now? That'd begood?"

A slight hum was audible as the cybernetic eye newly introduced to Adrian's head plugged itself in and initialized. He blinked his eye several times, making sure it was working. "Alright, and I think we're good to go." The red light in the eye switched on, slowly growing in its brightness. With his head up to standard functionality, the rather blood-stained marine stood.

"Alright, so, Multipurpose room, right?"

"Yeah, let's hurry it up, we don't have much time!" Kokuten said, dashing off to the multi-purpose room, and disregarding the large amount of blood on the other medic's uniform.
