Once everyone had followed, Nora looked prepared to start the next part, but then Charles asked the same question that had already been asked. "I already told you all, both of the male crew members on this ship are currently in our presence! Everyone else is female!" the redheaded freespacer answered, as if there wasn't anything odd about that at all, and continued on. she turned around, and trundled down the next set of stairs, and down into- A garden of all places.

"Betcha can't guess what this deck is!" she challenged the group, giggling a little. they were surrounded by plants of all kinds, from edible plants, basic crops, flowers, even a few trees and other plants that were purely for show, along with some benches, it looked almost like a small park. even the lighting mimicked natural lighting on a planet, and it seemed like a much more lively and airy area than what one would normally find on a starship.

Mo gave the Daur another quick glance, cute, she could see that - not that there was a chance in hell she'd admit it to her soon-to-be roommate. The ravenette let her gaze remain for a short moment before turning to look at the room and all the greenery within, it wasn't exactly something she was used to but even Monica could tell more or less what was going on here.

"Oh geez I wonder if anybody will be able to guess it," she began speaking with a voice that was practically dripping with sarcasm as she reached out to pluck a ripe strawberry from a nearby bush and pop it in her gob, giving a few thoughtful chews as Mo's no-shit expression melted away.

"Holy shit, this is good," she exclaimed before swallowing down the red fruit and deciding to query a bit, "do you guys... rather lasses, get much oxygen from this room too or just food?" The question was a little out of the blue from the seemingly brute-like woman but she didn't pay it any mind, that wasn't really a concern of hers.

"An area I feel I will spend a lot of time in," Destiny said aloud as she looked around with a touch of enjoyment to her face for the first time. Her lips curled into a smile as she recalled the park she had helped develop back with the exodus fleet a few months ago.

She usually did enjoy nature quite a bit and with such a nice place who knew? Maybe she could find some Lorath seeds and make herself a nice little garden here, or even find a space for herself. She would need to figure out just how she was going to set up a small shrine, whether it would be better for her own room, or maybe out on this deck. Somewhere secluded and out of the way where hopefully nobody would bother it.

All things to worry about at another time as she took in a deep breath in the otherwise nature filled room and found she enjoyed it much more than the smells of metal and oils she found almost everywhere else on the ship.

As they spoke in the garden, a mild tone went out, alerting the crew that they were disembarking. Soft clunks could be heard as the main airlock doors closed themselves, then disengaged from the gangways, and the ship almost felt like it dropped a little bit, though not enough to upset anyone. The warning tone stopped, and then the ship began to hum slightly as the numerous engines spooled up, until they finally reached operating conditions and began syncing with one another, and the humming dulled down to background noise.

"Well, thegarden does suppliment the oxygen on board, but it isn't the only source; we have other systems in place to ensure that we have plenty of breathable air at all times," Nora explained to Mo, "Just don't ask me what they are exactly, 'cause I'm not sure. Jennifer probably knows though!"

Around them, the ship continued to be busy, with the last few crew filtering down through the stairs, and the nearby elevator making a small noise as it moved up and down in the ship, taking other crew wherever they needed to go. even the garden deck seemed busy, with a couple of the women from the crew who weren't busy with something else deciding to tend to parts of the garden rather than just sit in a cabin or a lounge somewhere.

Charles wasn't too sure how to react to the revelation that he and Zeke were the only two males on the ship. However, his train of thought was derailed as he saw the garden deck. "Oh Wooooow! It's a whole agricultural deck! I bet that this doesn't just help the air quality, but it'll also provide us with fresh food!"

He spoke as they continued through the ship. "Whoever designed this ship put a lot of thought into crew comfort. Air recyclers can only do so much before you can start to feel the air getting stale. A whole deck of plants should keep the air feeling fresh, and the food will all be so much better too! Believe me, when the food is just reheated from storage, it gets old really fast, but this is amazing!"

Charles' childlike appearance seemed to be matched by his sense of wonder. Everything about the ship seemed to be impressing him to one degree or another, and soon it might start to become annoying if he didn't curb his enthusiasm.

As the ship started to take off the tail of Sharlett fluffed up to twice its size. She had not expected so soon the ship to leave port. After but a moment her heart started to fill with joy. Here she was, on her first adventure. On a ship filled with mostly girls. Only two males stood in the way of an all female crew. Though the one seemed small and cute enough that in the right dress could pass for a girl. She could not help but smile and giggle at this thought.

Her nerves calmed and her tail returned to normal as she took steps into the garden area of the ship. It seemed far too huge for a ship of this size. Granted this was the first starship she had been on so did not have much to base this on to start with. She took note of Mo grabbing something red and taking a bite of it. She too reached over and tried some of the food. Her first thought she was confused but then filled with the sweet thrills of a strawberry in her mouth. "Mmm, this is good." She said with a big smile on her face.

Jennifer shrugged. "It's mainly for foodstuffs, help stretch out our operational life on certain aspects. Yeah, it all helps with air scrubbing, but not at a significant enough rate to have us forgo needing industrial scrubbers. Trust me on this, you'll appreciate the 'fresh air' real fast over scrubbers. We still ain't gotten the shakedown smell out."

The Mecha engineer didn't seem at all concerned with the sights around them. "There's a few public spaces on this deck, sort of parks if you will. The rest is intended as food supply and pseudo-air scrubbers." She finished, walking with experienced steps towards the next deck down. "Oh, outside of the lifts in the Mecha bay, the Elevators aren't quite operational yet. One of those 'not enough time' issues. Expect to run the stairs a lot. They're lower on the priority pole than getting people properly spread out in their quarters."

Admittedly it was a nice area, nicer then he'd seen in a long while. Sure the parks aboard the Hammer and Anvil were nice, but neither had well developed gardens. Zeke couldn't help, but be impressed.

"Quite a facet of engineering. The ship seems quite functional from the outside, but inside its almost borderline luxurious. I must say, I'm quite impressed. If the crew needs an extra set of hands for anything related to communications, or any side work in general, I'm game. Whether software, or equipment. I was trained as a communications specialist in the military.", The blonde headed man gave a with a cheerful and optimistic tone.

Mo let out a thoughtful nod as she was fed info about the ship, then came a scoff from the ravenette as the taller blondie reminded everyone he was in the military again - as if they hadn't all just been told of his supposed service in the marines, was he waiting for somebody to tell him he was some kind of hero? Then there were the compliments he was giving about the ship, as if this random 'spacer was at all responsible for the ship being designed this way.

"Brown-noser," Mo let slip out rather un-subtly as she cleared her throat and turned back to the Daur, besides the fact they were still butting heads over who got the top bunk Sharlett was probably her favourite so far - that was even the reason why, finally somebody who wasn't a complete pushover. "I know right? shit is good," she spoke back, truth be told the strawberries were pretty bloody awesome.

The Surly girl that had plucked a strawberry had begun to grate on Destiny's nerves. The girl had a foul mouth and seemed to think fairly highly of herself, but Destiny hid that feeling on her face. Instead, she just enjoyed the view for a few more moments before she turned and waited to follow.

Thankfully she had little issue with the threat of climbing stairs. It would be good for her and truth be told she might keep it up even when the elevators were operational unless it was an emergency. She had worked off the weight she had gained through motherhood while she had been with Exodus, but none of the people here needed to know that.

No, her main concerns just then were checking over her Mech and getting settled into her room. She knew she would have one of those terribly uncomfortable beds probably, she hated the flat mattresses. She wished she had at least tried to make a request but had forgotten to ask for a nest style bed. She really did miss her bed back in the royal palace.

"Well, now that we've had enough extra-fresh air, it's time to go down another level!" Nora excitedly explained to the group, trying to distract them from whatever it was that was causing them to already seem to mostly hate one another and already gravitating into cliques or so it seemed. "Let's all follow Jennifer down to the next deck! Now, this deck is very important, but hopefully you won't have to come here terribly often!" The spacer began to explain, as they descended the stairs. Nora blinked as she watched the elevator open and a couple of random crew members exit, contrary to what the mecha technician had said. Perhaps she hadn't gotten the memo that they had already fixed the issue with the elevators (It had turned out that two wires had been switched upon installation and that nothing was actually wrong with them). Shrugging, the redhead continued down before landing on the medical deck.

"If this looks like a hospital, that's because it kinda is. Unlike most ships that just have a medical bay, we have an entire medical deck. We have enough staff hear to deal with a crew of nearly 300, as well as the ability to deal with minor problems in areas we go to, if need be. There's plenty of rooms and space for treatments and storage of medical needs and devices, even a room for soul transfer tech, although that isn't installed due to some legal issues over whether or not we're supposed to have them that need to get worked out." As she talked, Nora pointed to the main desk, as well as a deck layout that was posted up on the walls, and even paused for a moment distracted by a random medical poster on the wall that caught her interest before continuing on. "ANy comments questions, or concerns, or do you guys just want me to rush us through the rest of the tour? I know it's pretty boring, I probably would have fallen asleep by now if I wasn't leading it, but you all look like grown-ups, except maybe Charles..."

Sharlett looked over to Mo and gave her a quick smile. She had overheard her comment that she made and could not help but agree. She leaned in closer to Mo to share some words. "These boys are in for a rude awaking if they think they can alpha male on this ship." She said in a low tone but could maybe be overheard if someone was listening close enough.

Personally Sharlett did not take kindly to people who like to beat on their chest. She grew up with this back home and had hoped to get away from it by being on this ship. Sadly it would seem males across the universe try and be the alpha. It would take more than big words to win her over. She wanted to see action and deeds.

“Thank fuck the elevators are working,” Mo replied as the information became apparent to her, she loved running up and down stairs as much as the next person but at the same time the hover skid she was carting around would’ve made things difficult - and not in the fun way that she made things difficult either.

Mo moved to wrap an arm around the Daur’s shoulder, the tips of her fingers were playfully grazing the top of the stortstack’s chest as the Minkan’s own chest was more or less at eye-level. “Especially with me here, reckon you’re up to having your hands full - seeing as you’ll be in the bunk under me?” Monica teasingly queried Sharlett with a flex of her bicep against the girl’s neck before turning back to the freespacer.

“I reckon rushing through might be the best, short blondie might need to go have his nap soon anyway.”

Destiny peered over the others, doing her best to hold her tongue as she instead turned her gaze over the medical area. It was good to know there was such a well-stocked staff on board for any major issues as her hand unconsciously came to rest over her lower stomach. She wasn't quite sure how much the cryosleep had messed up her body's internal clock, she herself having long since forgotten the last time her own personal issues had arisen, but that would be a bridge crossed at a later time.

"I assume everything is held in strict confidentiality?" She asked of the tour guide but nodded to the idea of a quicker tour.

"It might be in the best interest to do so. It will give us a chance to get settled in and explore at our leisure." She offered the Freespacer.

Jennifer shrugged. She noticed the elevator open and people get out. Chalk that up to being busy working on the mecha side of things most of the time. "Be glad I'm not giving the tour Nora." Jennifer stated simply. "I got a few things left to check on in the bays, make sure it's all prepped and ready to go. And orientate the green horns who'll be working with me to keep our ship's purpose for being running." She said as she started heading towards the Mecha bay entrances on this deck. No point using the main hatches when the ones on this deck were closer.

As people commented about Charles' age and height, he seemed to take it in stride at first, ignoring them in favor of observing the medical deck. However, as the comments grew slightly more numerous, he found it harder and harder to remain silent. Finally, he spoke up albeit in a... less than convincing voice.

"I'm 18 you know... I'm not even that short..." He said in an annoyed, slightly childlike manner; his young appearance and childish features making the statement fairly comical. After he said that, he spoke again, a little less childlike and a little more mature than before. "Whatever, I've heard it all before."

He seemed to pause for a moment. "But at least I'm not uhh... all muscle-y and stuff." Charles said towards Mo, clearly not having a very good grasp on insulting people. He seemed to realize that as soon as he said it as well, looking down at the ground in an awkward silence.

Mo turned away from the Daur with one dark eyebrow cocked and an arm still very much around the fuzzy-tailed girl's neck, the Minkan couldn't help but laugh at the attempted insult - quite a hearty laugh too, one that caused her head to tilt up to the heavens before the ravenette managed to contain herself.

"No, nobody is going to mistake you for being muscly and stuff - especially since you can't even convince us of your gender let alone your age, so don't try to insult someone you clearly can't handle, twerp" Monica finished bullying him with a smirk on her face as she turned back to Sharlett, flexing her arm against the Daur's neck once more.

Sharlett blushed for a moment not expecting all this attention coming from Mo. She could not help but be happy as she had trouble at times making friends. She did her best to try and look up at Mo which proved a challenge at times. Damn, this girl has some big boobs. I wonder who's is bigger. She thought to herself for just a moment before tossing the thought. She felt her tail fluff as he became even more embarrassed. She took a few deep breaths to clear her thoughts. She was not going to be outdone by Mo with early in the race.

She perked up her chest and thought of a fun way to tease. "You heard the lady, she likes to be on top so best bulk up. Else she will crush your weak body with her overwhelming womanly features." Sharlett let out a small laugh as she pictured Charles getting crushed by Mo.

"Okay good seems like we're in agreement!" The Bubbly 'spacer announced, taking an enormous breath in preparation for the run through she was about to give everyone. "Directly below us is the command and control deck which houses the bridge, security, the armory, as well as the captain and XO's quarters. Next! We have the Engineering deck which houses a whole bunch of cool mechanical equipment and is where we make parts both for the ship and for your mecha. Grab me or miss Jennifer if you wanna make something cool for your mecha or you need something fixed, we'll probably be able to help you! Below that, is called the ready deck and contains the kitchen and wardrooms as well as all the offices of the people in charge, including myself and miss Jennifer! Our offices are right next to each other and you might be able to find us in them sometimes so you can get us if we need to talk or have questions or whatever! Directly below that deck is the pilot and officer deck where we'll all be living while on the ship- like we said not every room has been prepared yet but it should be finished within a few days. following that is the general crew deck, so you don't have to worry about that too much. Finally, there's the cargo deck which is kinda boring since it's just full of a bunch of boxes and raw materials but if you need to get anything from there I can get you in contact with our quartermaster and she can potentially help you out. AAAAAAAND! DONE!" Nora finished, before taking a deep breath and then hopping off the ground slightly and throwing one fist in the air in an adorably victorious pose. As she landed back on the ground, she bounced 180 degrees in an instant, pointing herself away from the group and toward the stairs and elevators. "OKAY! Down you go! Down to your rooms, they should be marked for now so just toss your junk in them and then head upstairs to the Entertainment deck!" She bounced around again, to face the group once more, before continuing, "I'll be there getting the sims ready so you won't have to wait too long! And boys, be good and keep to your area for now, at least until everybody knows everybody we wouldn't want someone to cause a scene or have some unfortunate incident like the protagonists always have on the first episode of an anime!"

Instead of immediately rushing up the stairs, however, she quickly made her way over to Destiny and answered her question in a normal vice, rather than the near-yelling announcing voice she had been using thusfar, "And don't you worry Miss Oracle, all our medical personnel are held to the same standards and guidelines as any- they can't tell anything unless you're being way too depressed and trying to die on purpose, which isn't fun or good, but other than that, they're really good at keeping secrets if you want them to."

Then, as suddenly as she had made her way to the tall Lorath, she turned tail and ran up the stairs, somehow full of boundless energy and enthusiasm, and the ability to make stairs seem like the fastest option in any situation.

"You know, I almost kinda like you a bit," was the last thing Mo managed to get out before the ship's layout was forced down their throats, well they had agreed for the quick version and she admitted internally that it had been rather concise yet informative - though externally she simply gave a nod and squeezed the Daur's right shoulder before moving to drag her hoved skid into the elevator.

"Though remember, fuzzy," the ravenette spoke while waiting for her room-mate to enter the elevator too, "I'm on top, else we might have a bit of an issue on our hands - you're short anyway so..."
