ZHS Central Courtyard
Some time had passed since the new students had left to inspect their dorm rooms. By the time Tavigo had approached the small group to introduce himself, they had all noticed that the other students were similarly grouped up. A pair on a bench here, a group of curious Neko poking at the koi pond there. There even appeared to be a few impromptu sparring matches and exhibitions taking place. The stage had been cleared of chairs (and debris) to make way for one such display. While their resident Samurai was nowhere to be seen, two other teachers were demonstrating a few basic techniques to a small crowd of students. One, a larger Nepleslian, would demonstrate a flip or hold using his size advantage over a small Neko, something straight out of the NMSDT. She would return the favor with a similar maneuver enhanced with her special abilities to make up for the size disadvantage, showing off some forms of SACQC, possibly even CRIED.
Meanwhile, the lone Vekimen was being watched carefully as well, even if she wasn't attempting any sort of demonstration. "Ah, Sivaro-san...I'm afraid those alterations to your uniform are well outside of regulations..." The round little Neko spoke up first, the 'tsk tsk you poor thing' tone in her voice impossible to miss, even for the alien. "Apologies...we should have arranged an appointment for you at the nearby School Store and let a tailor make the proper accommodations for your...unique needs. I, um...I thought you might not wish to...experience such a crowded location while you're still so new to Yamatai." There was suddenly a large shadow cast over the Vekimen by the now second-tallest creature at the school. "I could do the sewin' for ya if ya want...I used to make alla my own outfits! Not much difference between sewin' up an arm and a sleeve, ya know?" Shayla let out another loud, rough laugh, although Mitsuko was conspicuously far enough away to escape any further friendly back-slapping.
"You gettin' on alright otherwise, kid? Believe me, I know what it's like to be thrown in the deep end with a lot of weird aliens and have to play catch up and figure out where ya fit in." She grinned, seeming friendly enough, if a bit rough around the edges. "Heard you learned Yamataigo and Trade way faster than I picked up <grunting whistle>. I don't think any of us've got the vocal cords to learn Vekimen, unless we've got any androids or MEGAMI visiting. But if you ever wanna pick up another language, somethin' like <gurgling Russian and a wet cough> can really feel good when you can't curse in the traditional languages." Mitsuko let out a disgusted scoff, adjusting her tinted glasses. "Shoi McBelle-" "Retired!" "-retired, you're supposed to be setting a good example for our students..." She shook her head as the giantess guffawed again.
While the other group conversed, they noticed a pair of Neko setting up nearby. Grappling, before one flipped the other into the soft grass. They giggled and traded places, the next thudding to the ground before popping up. The crash landings steadily became more solid, as gravity manipulation was added, then cranked up. If it kept going like this, one of them was either going to leap up higher than the shade trees or be buried into the ground.
